How are doing today ladies?
We are at least 40% there! Hoping bumps are starting to pop. My sickness randomly springs on me, mostly smell induced but sometimes totally random. It had significantly reduced. Bowel movements have been random too for the first time.
I really need to get out of my cold bath and go visit my mum and dad but cannot be bothered.
Anyone got holidays away booked?

I so want a holiday Scots but I'm not sure we will get one. Maybe a long weekend somewhere in the UK if we are lucky! Are you planning one?

We have a week camping in Cornwall at the beginning of August. We have decided to take each day as it comes and relax as much as possible. If we want to stay in the tent cuddling and dozing all day then we will. We are so used to busy busy holidays. OH has had three days off since Christmas so he needs a rest.

Hi everyone! I'm due December 18th, was just wondering everyone's experiences with private gender scans?

Awake again. Zzzzzz.

Princessmummy I've had a few private scans and one was a gender scan. It went well and they focussed literally just on gender. It was an online deal though too. Got our NHS scan coming up so will get to double check then too.

I've been awake since 5.30am plus multiple times during the night. Eugh. Have been avoiding my phone until now in case I could get back to sleep. Nope. Maybe the lack of sleep will reset my body clock.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who finds this apparent second trimester "glow" bullshit.

glastogirl if you haven't got kids yet already, you should absolutely book somewhere and enjoy a last child-free summer.
And that sounds perfect scotslamb. We also usually do quite sight-seeing holidays when we are away but this year we will stick to a beach holiday and I can't wait to sit and do nothing :)

Sorry princessmummy we've not had a private gender scan either. There is a secret Facebook group where about 60 of us have migrated to if you wish to join.
I think a few people there have had private scans.

Welcome runnerbean of course you can join and will be made very welcome. As Scots said above we also have a non public facebook group if you would like to join that, as it seems to have more action now.

I'm due on Christmas Eve and still have to wait nearly 3 weeks for my scan. Hope yours goes well.

Brens & Scots I am also Christmas Eve. Feels a bit surreal. We were having a bit of a giggle at the weekend coming up with Christmas themed names....... although not sure we will go down that route at all, it was good fun though.
We also got the BabyName app where you and your partner swipe left for names you don't like and right for ones you do. So if we have a girl we are totally fine as we have at least twenty names already that we both like, however so far only two boys names. So 20 week scan in 2 weeks and my money is now all on a boy!!!

Haha welcome to the Christmas Eve club Miami. I wonder if any of us will actually have our baby on that day. We've had the fun Xmas name convo too, my favourite currently is definitely Blitzen . Seriously though, I think we'll probably steer clear of Christmas names.

Ooo we'll have to try that app as we have a boys name sorted but still don't love any girls ones (I thought they'd be the easy ones). Plenty of time yet though.

Hi runnerbean - I'm due Christmas Day too!

I think I'll suggest Rudolph to my boyfriend later. We are struggling with boys names anyway, he doesn't seem to like any.

I'm due 21st (by 12 weeks scan, by last period, it is 25th), so might as well have a Christmas baby.
My anomaly scan is already on Wednesday, I wonder why it's so early, maybe because we didn't scan for Down's and the others?

Something funny regarding pregnancy glow... My landlady is quite old and she congratulated me on having a baby, she hopes it will be a big boy and then she asked whether it's my first baby with 43 - haha. All the sleepless nights seem to make their appearance on my face. Plus, I am living there for 3 years now (and the landlady lives next door), I'm sure she must have noticed at some point if I had my other 12 kids round........

20 week scan all went well and apparently my little pouter has big lips!

Brens I'll give birth for both of us if we can have it earlier than Christmas Eve and you have both babies every night until they are in a routine.

I have been stalking this thread for a while but thought now would be the time to join in as I am also due on Christmas Eve! I am having twins though so will be induced at 38 weeks if they haven't come on their own by then. I have my anomaly scan on the 10th August so still quite a wait. We really liked Holly for a girl but I don't think I could have used it if I gave birth too close to Christmas.

I'm sure me and Scots would be happy to have babies at 38 weeks if you'd like to volunteer to have ours as well as part of the Christmas Eve clique (what's two more?!)

My scan is on the 11th so we can wait not very patiently together. I think Holly is a lovely name so you should still use it if you like it. I'm not purposefully hunting out Christmas names, but if I liked one I don't think it would put me off using it.

Do you know or will you find out what gender of twins you're having?
