I hope you managed to get back to sleep. That storm was so loud I have no idea how my OH slept through it all.

bluebell I didn't need a full bladder

Brens13 · 19/07/2017 06:34

Awake from about 2.20 to 4.30...DH's alarm goes off at 5. So sleepy 😴

glastogal · 19/07/2017 07:26

I woke up loads last night die to the heat.. think these storms completely missed us!! Many congrats on your little girl cheesecake - wonderful news Grin

I'm 21 weeks today and excited that I'm finally having my anomaly scan tomorrow.. feels like I've been waiting forever!!

glastogal · 19/07/2017 07:27

Due* to the heat..

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 19/07/2017 08:36

Good luck tomorrow @glastogal 🙂

Slept much better last night @Mrsbluebell17, thank you for asking ☺️ think the rain cooled things down a bit.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 19/07/2017 08:38

Just noticed the time of some of your posts! Hope everyone managed to get back to sleep 😔

Miami81 · 19/07/2017 09:26

I think I managed 3-4 hours sleep last night. Not funny. I have a meeting in around an hour and have no idea how I will stay awake!! Sugar? I have had literally no caffeine in 17 weeks (odd bit of chocolate) but I think if I had a coffee now my head would just explode........
good luck with scans.

ScotsLamb · 19/07/2017 10:47

I'm just glad it's the summer holidays as I had about 5 hours sleep. Head hurts and woke up really thirsty despite drinking about 3 litres of water yesterday.
We've not had the storms yet. Just some wind which keeps making the broadband drop out.
Might go somewhere nice and read my book with some cake.

fishfingerSarnies · 19/07/2017 11:35

Ooh massage sounds nice. My dh is away September and October but home November so we are going do a spa day then which will include a lovely pregnancy massage I can't wait. He's also away December and January but I'm trying not to think about that though the fear is starting to creep in.
Will anyone else be without partner for the birth etc? My mum will step in and be my birth partner unless she has to look after the existing kids though I'm hoping Mil will do that. I know it's so far away but it's starting to be the only thing I can think about.

My sickness was back yesterday with vengeance. We've had a sickness bug but it seems to have brought my morning sickness back. Struggling to get anything done at the moment.

Carley27 · 19/07/2017 12:35

Feel so sorry for those of you having trouble sleeping - I'm sleeping through the night and still tired so can't imagine how you ladies are feeling! Flowers

18 weeks today :) two weeks until anomaly scan.. my last scan was at 16 weeks and already seems ages ago!

Hi! I've just joined mumsnet - it's nice to meet you all! I'm due on 13/12 and have my next scan next week. How do I go about getting added to the facebook group?
Thanks

Brens13 · 19/07/2017 13:43

Hi kggwynne. If you send me your email address I can add you to the group. Oh and of course welcome and congratulations 😊

CheesecakeAddict · 19/07/2017 13:56

Oh no, that sucks those of you that are not sleeping! Fingers crossed it should all start settling down now.

fishfinger must he go? My partner works away a bit too and he's under the strict instructions that he is not to go whilst I am heavily pregnant. His work is actually being very reasonable about it too.

Kggwynne · 19/07/2017 14:15

Hi Brens13 it's [email protected] thanks Smile

fishfingerSarnies · 19/07/2017 15:11

He has to go cheesecake no option about it, it's a decision we made together so I'm fine with it really. He's self employed and can't turn down 5 months of work! I'm having a section and it's my 3rd one so it's not a big deal really but. I can't help but feel a little nervous.
I'm dreading the not being able to sleep that usually hits me a bit later down the line when I can't sleep on my tummy any more, I'm just about managing it with lots of strategically placed pillows, so you all have my sympathy. Also if I'm tired I vomit so I'm trying to sleep as much as possible hope the vomiting wears of before the insomnia kicks in.

fishfingerSarnies · 19/07/2017 15:12

Oh and hi kggwynne welcome. How have you been feeling.

Brens13 · 19/07/2017 15:28

I've added you kggwynne. Hopefully you'll get the email :)

Kggwynne · 19/07/2017 16:49

Hi Brens13 brilliant thanks :-) just joined!

CheesecakeAddict · 19/07/2017 17:22

fishfinger ok fair enough. You are one brave lady for going it alone though regardless of how many kids you've have. Especially as you'll have the recovery time too

Kggwynne · 19/07/2017 17:26

Hi fishfinger I feel really up and down to be honest! I haven't been sleeping well recently as I seem to be so uncomfortable and then feel so tired and a bit moody during the day... I don't think I'm one of those 'blooming' pregnant ladies! How about you?

ScotsLamb · 19/07/2017 17:37

fishfinger I am in the same boat as you with the sickness. If I am tired or stressed it comes back. Going back to work in August after the summer holidays will be interesting. I don't think I know how to be a teacher without getting stressed...

fishfingerSarnies · 19/07/2017 21:55

God scots I don't know how you teachers do it anyway let alone pregnant! (My mums a teacher)

I'm up and down too Kggwynne I'm just so bloody exhausted all the time I felt I had a little 2 week glow when I first hit the second tri infact people even said it but now I'm back to feeling exhausted and sick all the time so I guess that's that. Ha. The one thing I've got going for me at the moment is the fact I'm still sleeping well but I'm sure it won't last!
I really wanted to enjoy this pregnancy as it's definitely my last, (going to get my tubes tied as they do my section to be totally sure no more babies!) but I'm just feeling so shit that I'm really not enjoying it and I can't think why I ever thought I would!

ScotsLamb · 19/07/2017 22:37

Today a friend, who I know is trying to conceive, asked me how my sickness was. I had to try and put a positive spin on it.
I honestly can't properly remember the worst of my sickness. Although I do think my memory was particularly bad when it was at its worst.
I'm not starting to wonder if beef is having a bad effect on me as I've had steak twice but I'm two weeks and both times it has ended with me on the loo for most of the night. Both pieces were super fresh and cooked completely. Maybe need to try some meatballs...

CarlottaJo · 20/07/2017 03:38

Morning brain, let's have fun together worrying about absolutely everything ever in the world!

glastogal · 20/07/2017 04:03

I'm up too.. been awake since 2am. Think it's scanxiety Confused why can't I just sleep?!! Waah Envy
