octo, do you think you can have champagne even if I don't necessasrily want the baby out now?!

nuttygirl · 22/03/2007 15:22

LLL - think I'm just bossy and demanding and moany about being pregnant...you know "For crying out loud, can't you do the laundry. I suppose I'm just meant to try and bend down to put stuff in the washer and I'll just have to put up with the bad back and no sleep I get as a result", "Would it be too much to ask for you to run my bath so I don't have to struggle to reach the taps or would you prefer me to be in pain", "What's the point in me getting the hoover out, I can't move any furniture in my condition, tho if you want that square inch of carpet hoovered I suppose I could do it"...that sort of thing

Think it helps DH is crap at arguing...I always win, even if I'm totally in the wrong.

nuttygirl · 22/03/2007 15:22

RH - good luck for your sister.

(sorry I missed that competely when I read your post)

maveta · 22/03/2007 15:29

Runny - hope all goes well for your sis x
Hi Bumble!
Mammyjo - lots more hugs going your way OUT BABY, COME OUT!]
And Octo, yes indeed.. all government offices shut at 2pm here.. {{siiiiiiiigh}}

bumble75 · 22/03/2007 15:33

Thanks! Don't know what flavour we're having although everyone seems convinced it's a girl - including very randomly my Mum's travel agent in Sydney

geordiemacminx · 22/03/2007 15:34

Hey ladies - managed to spend the day in bed, had lots of little naps but am still feeling "delicate"... have also started with the runs...

Quick question - Braxton hicks - do the have to be low down or can they be accross your belly button type area? Just trying to decide whether I have some sort of bug or my body is doind a clear out?

Welcome Bumble - great to have another mum to be north of the border, I'm in uddinsgton which is on the outskirts of Glasgow, Weeonion is close to Glasgow and Liath is in Edinburgh too!!

Lusciousladylush · 22/03/2007 15:34

Nutty girl,

you made me laugh out loud at work - just as well tomorrow is my last day... I think I've become a distriuptive influence with my huffing and puffing and waddling routine... (havne't done a tea run for months, its the strain of carrying that tea tray!!!).

Love your excuses, wish some of them would work on my DH (SH)! However he couldn't care less if we lived in a pigsty and if I whinge about dirt/dust etc, he would just say don't look at it, or touch it.....

Lusciousladylush · 22/03/2007 15:36

Hey, geordiemacminx,

Mine are normally across the top - round the belly button region - sometimes painful, most of the time not painful, hope that helps!. I've just had some painful ones in the sweet shop over the road from work - the guy behind the counter was a little concerned - but I mananged to convince him to sell me the chocolate and not worry if my waters broke on his floor!..

geordiemacminx · 22/03/2007 15:40

Hmmmm maybe it is my body getting ready - even though I'm only 34+2... a couple of weeks longer would be nice..

How funny would it be if I dropped first being last on the list??? I think you lot would ban me!!!

liath · 22/03/2007 15:43

Just a quickie before I mop the floors.

Really feel for you mammyjo, so frustrating. I'd be at the wine in your shoes.

Hi to Bumble. There's a strong scottish contingent on the thread (except most of us living here aren't actually scottish), I'm in Edinburgh too.

Feeling rather mellow today, may as well enjoy it as it won't last! Was on the phone to my middle sister who has had a very easy pregnancy but even she is finally getting fed up as she's nearly a week overdue. We were able to comfort each other in our weebleness, at least!

bubblez · 22/03/2007 15:43

RH - BEST WISHES for your sister!!!

Mammyjo - loads and loads of > hopefully it wont be much longer!! {{hugs}}

Bumble75 - welcome, it's never too late to join the madhouse!! Is this your first? What sort of a labour you planning?

Ok Lunch dishes washed(check), shower and hairwash(check), shopping list(check), polished and hovered(check) and washing kitchen floor(check)....... wishing NG would send her dh here to do my housework (CHECK) ... will have to brush up on my moaning skills....

Smole · 22/03/2007 15:44

RH - Best wishes to your sister

Welcome Bumble

Nutty - I wish that would work with DH. Unfortunately he seems to make more mess trying to clear up!

Mammyjo - sending 'baby out' thoughts

Maveta at all that paperwork

1 week 1 day to go until ML.
37 weeks tomorrow!

Eddas · 22/03/2007 15:44

GMM, my BH's are at the top iof the bump mainly, I thought they were just the baby moving but they've happened when at mw and she says they're BH's. Just kinda goes tight and then goes again. Mine aren't painful just makes me stop sometimes.

As for being the first, noooooooo, i'm 2nd on the list so i'd stamp my feet

nuttygirl · 22/03/2007 15:45

GMM - think I've had some around the belly button height and some lower down (although I'm not entirely sure).

LLL - DH said there was no point in him dusting (cos we'd had an arguement)...I told him that it wasn't very nice of him to want his baby to sleep in a dust filled room and possibly suffer from asthma as a result. (No offence to anyone...I'll say anything to DH to get my own way when I'm in a mood - OMG I'm really mean)

liath · 22/03/2007 15:46

GMM - mammyjo, ooggs & 1b3 would be hopping if you did! . We ought to start a sweepstake - who do we think will be the first five to go? And when?

nuttygirl · 22/03/2007 15:49

Bubblez - I'll tell DH I'm cos there's people on my antenatal thread that are having to do housework and would he mind popping round at the weekend. ....funny thing is, he's daft enough to say yes!!!

nuttygirl · 22/03/2007 15:54

PMSL at DH...have just told him your wahing is stuck in your washer til sat cos your DH works away and you can't bend to get it out and would he pop over on his way home...he said yes as long as I come too......

bubblez · 22/03/2007 16:14

omg he truely is a 'Darling Husband' ..... you have him well trained NG I am very impressed..

mammyjo · 22/03/2007 16:23

Hello again. Thankyou all so much for the good wishes. I think things are just generally too much for me today. The whole strep thing is getting a little too close for comfort. It scares the living daylights out of me that this baby could end up being sick like ds. We were so lucky with him and he is well and with no long term effects but I cant stop thinking that maybe we wont be so lucky this time. I know that is really pessemistic, think things are just made worse because I am really tired today too. Apologies for being so miserable, really am grateful for your support.
And yes, GMM, if you deliver before me I will have something to say!

mammyjo · 22/03/2007 16:24

Sorry, meant to say welcome to bumble and to send good wishes to your sister runny for tomorrow. Is she local or do you have to go further afield for that surgery?

nuttygirl · 22/03/2007 16:24

Yeah he's such a sweetie!!! Not sure how he'll cope with 2 of us!!! Can imagine this LO having him wrapped round her little finger in no time!!!

nuttygirl · 22/03/2007 16:28

Sorry Mammyjo, I x-posted there. Sorry to hear how difficult it is for you at the moment. I guess it's best that the docs are aware of it tho. It must be so hard to see your LO go through that (I know it's not something I've really considered happening and I know it would be such a shock if something did happen like that). I'm thinking of you.

babysopiniontakesover · 22/03/2007 16:33

Maveta - a lady in your condition really shouldn't be going to the hacienda.

maveta · 22/03/2007 16:39

opinions - LOL was waiting to see if anyone would say anything..

babysopiniontakesover · 22/03/2007 16:42

But then again........no maybe not a good idea just yet.
