I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

I'm anxious too. My body temperature seems to constantly be in the high 37s, even though I don't feel ill, and I'm worrying this is bad for baby. I think there's always something to worry about in pregnancy. My DH is good at calming me down!

WiIdfire · 02/07/2017 20:02

Also in the Southeast.

ChaoticKate · 02/07/2017 20:13

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is worrying. I've had two chemical pregnancies in the past six months and ever since I got my BFP I've been convinced that I'm about to start bleeding again. I find myself worried that I don't have the right symptoms or that I don't have enough symptoms or that when I go to the doctors and do a test there it's going to come up negative again. This will be my first and it just seems completely inconceivable that I'll get to have a baby. I listen to relaxation meditations sometimes to help me sleep, I think they might be getting a lot of use over the next few weeks!

DancingUnicorn · 02/07/2017 20:20

It's so hard isn't it chaotic. I totally understand the feeling of it being inconceivable that I'll get a baby. I keep sneaking to the loo to 'check'. Starting to get worried that my boobs are not as sore as they were last time and I'm not feeling as sick. I know realistically, it's because I'm still only 5 weeks! And assuming I get those symptoms again I'll be worrying because last time things didn't work out! Such a rollercoaster of emotions! I just want to be excited!! (I obviously am excited, it's just clouded by fear atm!) Sorry for being negative!

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 02/07/2017 20:30

Welcome to the newbies! I have to admit that I have totally lost track of who's who now... Re location, I am in SW England.

I am with you all on the anxiety - I just keep thinking about how complex a process this is, but that I have no control over it. Also, because we've already told immediate family I keep worrying that I've jinxed it, despite not believing in that kind of thing in the least Confused

And there's still so long to go till the first scan - this is going to be a long two months...

DancingUnicorn · 02/07/2017 20:37

Yes! A very long two months. Shall I try to do a list?

mamasiz · 02/07/2017 20:47

Apologies if I've spelt anything wrong/missed anyone/got EDDs wrong!

I didn't try to work out EDDs... sorry!

Flatwhite31 · 02/07/2017 21:04

Love the list! Thanks @Dancing Smile.

Welcome @mamasiz, and congrats! I'm a first timer too.

DancingUnicorn · 02/07/2017 21:06

Oh, how lovely GWeather

Thanks. I've tried mindfulness and meditation before, and I'm rubbish at both. But I might have another go!

mamasiz · 02/07/2017 22:07

Thankyou @Flatwhite31! So lovely to be part of this group. Congratulations all round!

Redelephant18 · 02/07/2017 22:18

Hiya, late to the party but please can I join?

I'm 38, this will be our second (son is 27 months). EDD 1st March.

We've told family and I'll be telling work when I go back this week (just had some annual leave) as I work in theatres and need to avoid heavy lifting and x rays.

Am having fluctuating symptoms but so happy to be pregnant as was beginning to think it wasn't going to happen! Am being a mega bitch to my husband though- I think I remember this happening last time. Must try harder to be nice!

Congratulations everyone! Hoping all the babies are super sticky.

ChaoticKate · 03/07/2017 05:04

My EDD is 7 Mar ( or thereabouts!). Does anyone else take anti-histamines regularly for hay fever? A

ChaoticKate · 03/07/2017 05:06

Pressed post too soon. Are you going to carry on taking them?

mamasiz · 03/07/2017 06:06

@ChaoticKate I was just thinking about this last night - I've read that they are ok to take - but I'm a bit nervous to take anything at the moment, so will be getting some advice from my midwife. Hand me the tissues! Smile

mamasiz · 03/07/2017 06:07

@ChaoticKate ...and congratulations!

Fefifoefum · 03/07/2017 08:28

Excellent work unicorn.
I'm in SW England too tea!
I do have 2 days off now flat, I'm a nurse, hence the stupidddd shifts, did alright this weekend though, thought I'd be tired, buts it's difficult to decide if it's baby tired or just shift tired!

I echo all your thoughts about anxiety, I'm literally terrified that I'll get to that first scan and there will be no baby.
My temp is normal, as is my blood pressure and pulse, did a quick check yesterday!

ChaoticKate · 03/07/2017 08:49

I can't imagine how tiring it must be to be a nurse, even without being pregnant. So much time on your feet. I thought about retraining a few years ago after spending a lot of time in hospital with my husband who was unwell at the time. I was just in awe of the amazing ladies who looked after him and thought it must be such a rewarding job. It wasn't financially viable to do the training in the end but I still harbour secret aspirations to do it in the future.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 03/07/2017 11:07

Hey ladies!
Any room for a little one!?
Got a faint bfp yday at 9dpo, but it's much darker today!
I'm 24 and this will be baby #2. I already have a dd who is 17m.
I had a cp 2 cycles ago at what the doctor said was 5 week so i do feel alittle apprehensive.
My expected due date is the 16th March.

I'm looking foward to getting to know you all. I have made 5 real life, life long friends off mumsnet from my daughters antenatal group and we chat pretty much all day everyday.
Congratulations all 🎉 xxxx

DancingUnicorn · 03/07/2017 13:08
