I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

Hello can I jump aboard?

Just got my BFP today, CD36 but my cycles have been all over the place. I'm 31 and husband is 37, it will be our first and we have been trying since August last year!

It's not sunk in yet and I haven't even told DH 😯 I've just been and bought him a pregnancy book for fathers to give him tonight.

We are off on holiday on Saturday, only booked it a week ago as was convinced it wasn't going to happen. Guess I won't be making the most of the all inclusive ☹️

Anyway I haven't clue about any of this baby malarkey so looking forward to getting to know you all and picking up some hints!

mamasiz · 03/07/2017 13:13

Afternoon all! Anyone else feel like they could just fall asleep on their desk right now?

DancingUnicorn · 03/07/2017 13:21

Yes mama. Busiest time of the year for me, so can't get away with that!

Hi mrsLoz. I've known nearly a fortnight and it still hasn't really sunk in!

SS81C · 03/07/2017 13:30

@feFi I'm totally with you - I'm in the middle of two 12 hour night shifts and I'm so tired I could CRY but I can't switch off and sleep.
Hello and congratulations to the newbies.

DancingUnicorn · 03/07/2017 13:34

Oh ss8 that must be so horrible. I hope you manage to get some sleep soon.

Snowdog37 · 03/07/2017 13:46

Congrats to all the newbies! Wow there's way too many of us for me to keep track too. Not that that's a bad thing! June was a good month for conception!

My edd is March 7th 2018 unless I've got twins on board, then it's around Valentine's Day! I'm getting my beta results today (hopefully, my drs office has been an administrative mess. They ordered a positive/negative beta instead of a quantitative beta on Friday. So I got the pregnancy confirmed but no beta number. Called them to raise hell as I wanted the quantitative test, they called down to the lab who still had my blood sample to run the quantitative but I've still heard nothing. Beta #2 is today so there better not be the same fiasco).

I'm 13dp5dt or 18dpo today. My boobs are just starting to get sore today, dry mouth a lot too despite chugging so much water I'm in the loo every hour on the hour. Still got cramps on and off and a higher temp. Got my strongest peestick line so far yesterday, no more left so I'm keen to know my betas so I can relax a bit.

Flatwhite31 · 03/07/2017 17:57

Hi guys! Wow, lots to catch up on. I don't have time to look at my phone at work, so it is lovely coming home to new messages Smile.
Hi to everyone who is new. Congratulations to you all! Some of you share my EDD (7th March).
My fatigue is much better today after a very lazy weekend. My only constant symptoms at the moment are higher body temp, and very sore boobs. I won't let poor DH near them! Apologies if this is TMI, but has anyone DTD since their BFP? We haven't! I know it's supposed to be safe, but we are just both too nervous at the moment, and it doesn't help that I've been bloody knackered. I do think the exhaustion is mainly school though rather than pregnancy, as I don't feel too bad today (easier day at school with no marking afterwards!).
@Snowdog, hope you're happy with your results. I've finally got my GP appointment tomorrow to get the ball rolling.

Flatwhite31 · 03/07/2017 17:59

Meant to say @MrsLoz, take advantage of the all inclusive food! You can use baby as an excuse, haha!
Also meant to ask, I'm supposed to be playing staff pupil rounders on Wed after school. What would you guys do? I've looked online, but there are really mixed messages out there.

DancingUnicorn · 03/07/2017 18:27

I think you'd be ok Flat. Make sure you stretch before and after... and obviously try not to get hit with a bat. I'd probably do it if I was feeling physically well enough. If you're worried, maybe ask the GP tomorrow?

ChaoticKate · 03/07/2017 18:31

I went to the doctors today and got my official confirmation (exciting!) and her advice about exercise was basically don't start anything new. She said if it's the sort of activity you would normally do, it's probably fine and that you'll know when you need to scale back your exercise etc. So I guess if you would normally play rounders, it's probably ok.

Snowdog37 · 03/07/2017 18:47

My beta on Friday was only 30. That's pretty low for 15dpo. 😕 Just had blood taken today so I'll wait to hear if it's increased enough. My tests show a clear improvement from 10 to 12dp5dt. Fingers crossed!

DancingUnicorn · 03/07/2017 18:47

I would say maybe don't volunteer to play backstop!

DancingUnicorn · 03/07/2017 18:49

Snow what does 12dp5dt mean? I think the change is the most important thing, rather than the levels! Your test is so much darker!

Snowdog37 · 03/07/2017 18:55

12dp5dt is basically 17dpo. It's 12 days after a transfer of 5 day old blastocysts.
I'm pretty anxious as I've read lots of people getting 2-3 hundred plus.

DancingUnicorn · 03/07/2017 19:09

When are your next bloods? Desperately hoping you get good results. So understandable to be anxious. Do you have anything you can do to distract yourself? Thinking of you.

Flatwhite31 · 03/07/2017 19:15

My only concern is that it's due to be 27C here on Wed, and the last time it was really hot here I nearly fainted (it was the same day I found out I was pg coincidentally, although the line that morning was faint). Will just see how it goes. It seems easier to play than make up excuses! Will ask the GP tomorrow.

@SnowDog, sorry to hear you are worried, bless you. Really hope you get good results from the bloods done today. Your darker test line is very encouraging.

DancingUnicorn · 03/07/2017 19:16

Hmm. Make sure you've got loads of water flat.

Flatwhite31 · 03/07/2017 20:01

Will do @Dancing. I'll say I can only play for an hour too. @ChaoticKate, did your GP refer to a midwife, or did they ask you to self refer?

Snowdog37 · 03/07/2017 20:13

I got 119 for my second beta, 36hr doubling time! So I can relax a little. 😜😂 thanks for listening to my paranoid rants.

ChaoticKate · 03/07/2017 20:23

My GP said they will do the referral @Flatwhite31 but said not to expect to hear anything for a good few weeks as I'm only 4 weeks 6 days (according to the doctors sums), or 5 weeks 1 day (according to mine!). It is calculated from the first day of your last period isn't it? Does anyone know when the immediate risk period for a chemical pregnancy passes? I POAS again this morning and got a lovely dark line within about 30 seconds (picture attached) but I'm just so worried that it's not going to work out. I've got a really weird pressure which feels like it's inside my vagina and it's freaking me out a lot. I literally can't wait until I can relax and stop being such a neurotic mess.

Flatwhite31 · 03/07/2017 20:28

So glad to hear that @Snowdog. I did a Clearblue digital today (got a fairly good deal on Groupon while TTC a while back!) and it said 3+, whereas it said 2-3 five days ago. I'm pleased, as I had a lot of water today, so when I did the test my wee was somewhat diluted. I'm a bit obsessed with POAS as well, but it's the only thing keeping my mind at rest. Sorry @Chaotic, but I can't see your photo. Maybe it's my phone! If the pressure continues, maybe go back to the GP to put your mind at rest.

DancingUnicorn · 03/07/2017 20:47

Great news snow. What other monitoring will you have?

The risk decreases every day that passes chaotic. It's so hard waiting without any way of knowing. And so many strange/new sensations and bloody hormones going crazy.

Snowdog37 · 03/07/2017 21:31

Because I had the egg donor ivf abroad, I now need to find an ob gyn here in Boston now I'm actually pregnant. As I'm 39 I'll need to be monitored by one who specifically looks after us old age mamas 😂 So after my third beta hopefully has an equally good doubling time I'll be finding a Dr who accepts my insurance and getting an ultrasound scheduled for 2 weeks time. It's all so new to me, I'm clueless what I need to do!

Snowdog37 · 03/07/2017 21:32

Once I'm home and back on my computer I'll do some personal replies. It's too hard on my phone 😜 But I hope you're all well 😊☀️💕

DancingUnicorn · 03/07/2017 21:39

Oo, you're over the pond! I imagine choosing a doctor to be lots more complicated there. Here it's take what's given! (Not a complaint btw!) Fingers crossed for your next results!
