I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

It is crazy how long you have to wait to see your dr sometimes. I booked online to see my dr (who has been brilliant with my depression & ttc) on Sunday am (6am haha) and the first apt I could get was next thurs!

I just want to be able to tell someone I'm pregnant!!!

FuzzyOwl · 17/07/2017 11:00

I agree MrsW but my surgery are very good with emergency appointments and if ever my DC need to see a doctor, so I am a lot more tolerant of waiting ages for myself these days (I didn't use to be though).

xxHappyHippyxx · 17/07/2017 11:58

We've seen a little heartbeat! Everything seems to be OK and no explanation for bleeding. They've given us a photo too but I can't tell what on earth it's supposed to show haha
They've also said they would guess it's 8+2 which would actually make edd February but I'm staying here at least until 12wk scan cos they said it's too early to confirm really.
So relieved! Grin

SophSoph92 · 17/07/2017 12:02

@xxHappyHippyxx such good news 😊😊😊 so happy for you

NorthernBelly · 17/07/2017 12:11

@xxHappyHippyxx that's fab news, so relieved for you.

I've just had my consultant app. this morning. Got a scan booked in for a week today (when I'll be 7wks) can't wait!

ZylaB · 17/07/2017 12:28

Congratulations to everyone new :)
Still plodding along feeling like eating less and less things. It isn't stopping me eating, but I've gone from healthier stuff to plain carbs lol! 5+4 and first scan a week on Wednesday!

SophSoph92 · 17/07/2017 12:43

When do they normally do scans? I thought it was earliest 12 weeks, then a few past that, do they sometimes do earlier ones then?

NorthernBelly · 17/07/2017 12:55

@SophSoph92 I am under the care of a consultant at my local hospital's recurrent miscarriage clinic. My last 4 pregnancies ended in miscarriages, so I was referred to them. They scan you every two weeks from 6/7 weeks to reassure you that everything is going ok. Normally you won't get a scan on NHS till 12 weeks (unless you pay for a private reassurance scan at an ultrasound clinic).

SophSoph92 · 17/07/2017 12:56

Ah okay. Hope everything goes perfectly for you xxx

OrangeCloud18 · 17/07/2017 13:00

xxHappyHippyxx Really happy all is well!

Chaotic I realised I was really unprepared for my commute and nausea when I almost threw up on myself at traffic lights this morning. I am going to pack some change of clothes, a plastic bag and toothbrush/toothpaste tomorrow I think.

I feel really nauseous and exhausted today.
I had to tell my boss and she was really happy for us and also keeps checking on me which is nice.

SheSaidHeSaid · 17/07/2017 13:16

Fantastic news HappyHippy!

I've got my early reassurance scan booked for wed evening, I can't wait, I really do feel I need some reassurance as it feels odd that you POAS, get a positive and then do sweet F A for weeks, makes it feel like you've imagined it.

MrsLoz · 17/07/2017 13:23

Lovely news HappyHippy!

I've got my reassurance scan on Saturday, this is going to be the longest week in history.

Excited1103 · 17/07/2017 13:45

Great news @HappyHippy, you're so lucky to see a heartbeat already! X

DancingUnicorn · 17/07/2017 13:49

Wonderful happyhippy. So pleased all looks well.

6 days till my mw appt. 9 days till my private scan.

Been feeling very pathetic and generally just 'off'. Kind of nauseous, been sick once, but not horrific. Feeling super tearful today, like I might burst into tears for no reason. definitely haven't already...

CCBloom1 · 17/07/2017 13:50

Amazing news HappyHippy!

We have a scan on Thursday as we are part of a Trial so pregnancy vitamins. We should be around 7 weeks and I can't wait.

Been feeling nervous the past few days as all symptoms have disappeared.
I was feeling tired and queasy, now I feel normal again. Feels quite strange. I've had no bleeding, but we went for a long long walk on Saturday and worried I may have pushed it too far.

Early pregnancy is a whole whirlwind of different emotion. DH is soo over excited I'm really nervous he will take it badly if the bean didn't stick.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 17/07/2017 13:55

Aww fab hippy that's great news! 🤗

I don't know when to book my scan for. I was thinking about 10 weeks but not sure i can wait that long! I suppose it depends on whether they will give me my 12 week scan before my hols at 11+4. Last time i was 9 weeks but that was due to bleeding.

xxHappyHippyxx · 17/07/2017 14:43

Thanks everyone, it really does feel like time stands still waiting for these appointments! I feel like I've cheated a bit getting an early scan, even though it came with the worry!
Hopefully we've all got sticky beans now cos I'm looking forward to comparing fuzzy white blobs! 😂

TeaAndPjs · 17/07/2017 16:02

hippy so glad all is well

northern we're scan buddies, I have my 1st 1 next Monday too when I'm 6+6

I have in today and done a CB digi even though I know they are unreliable but it's put me at ease a little, with last 2 MMC I had tested about 6ish weeks and got 1-2 weeks, never went higher, this time it's reading 2-3weeks, small thing but instantly put me at ease and gave me a little hope

WiIdfire · 17/07/2017 16:12

Glad to hear the scan went ok HappyHippy. Also had our early scan today at 7+4, and there was a teeny-weeny heart beating away. Phew!

Amusing to think there are likely to be two or three of us who are carrying twins but have NO idea yet! Only one in here though.

I think I'm the weird one, as I only did one test to confirm positive. Only did one test for each of my previous pregnancies, and one negative in between times. The compulsion to test multiple times has completely passed my by.

WiIdfire · 17/07/2017 16:13

Oh, and if anyone's DD is moved to Feb or April at their dating scan, please stay in this group. No doubt babies will arrive over a few months anyway.

WiIdfire · 17/07/2017 16:13

^ EDD not DD!!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 17/07/2017 16:25

Totally agree! wildfire in DD's mn group (jan2016babies) the first arrived in October and the last in Feb.. that's a 5month span!
Congrats on your scan xx

Excited1103 · 17/07/2017 16:26

Got my midwife appointment through for this Thursday and scan on 25th August, which might be slightly early for Downs screening as they prefer 11+6 minimum and I'll be a theoretical 11+4 but they'll see at the time if they need to call me back the next week.

SheSaidHeSaid · 17/07/2017 16:40

Excited, how did you refer yourself for the midwife appointment?

I emailed my self referral a week ago and not heard anything yet, just wondering if/when I should chase them up. I was thinking maybe at the end of the week but don't know if even that is a bit too eager.

stumblymonkeyagain · 17/07/2017 16:57

Stupid question alert....

I've got a 28 day cycle, based on LMP I'm 5+5 today.

Does that assume you ovulate on day 14? If I actually ovulate earlier than that could I end up dating a few days more than I think? Or does it make no difference?
