I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

@excited no harm came to the laptop lol!
I assume things are ok as full-on nausea today, hurrah...!

SheSaidHeSaid · 13/07/2017 17:08

Ouch double. Hope you're not too bruised.

I've been working since 8am and got half an hour to go. I'm really struggling to stay awake and have basically wiped all my makeup off because my head or my face has been in my palms. Roll on 5.30pm!

Flatwhite31 · 13/07/2017 17:42

Hi ladies! I see a lot of you are feeling sick now! I'm not too bad overall, but certain foods are absolutely repulsing me. I'm also getting nausea in the evenings, but nowhere near vomiting thankfully. Part of me is worrying that I'm not more sick, but I suppose I should feel grateful! @OrangeCloud18 poor you with the vomiting. Hope you're feeling at least a little better.
I'm off to Paris this weekend which I'm really looking forward to. Bit nervous about flying so early on, but we booked it ages ago!

TeaAndPjs · 13/07/2017 17:43

Oh o feel for you ladies that are having a hard time of it!

Consultant phoned today, they'll see me week beginning 24th for a scan but he's on holiday so they'll repeat it the week later and I'll meet with him too

Poochieblue · 13/07/2017 18:17

Hello, can I (tentatively) join? I'm 36 and 5w+1 with my 1st. Am currently on holiday and am miserable bloated and exhausted and watching everyone else get p'd! Am really nervous this isn't going to "stick" for lots and lots of reasons and so anxious to get home and get booked in (am high risk too but literally found out the day we travelled so there's not much I can do till I'm home) got my dsd 15 with us on hold and she's already picking up on me not drinking! Blush edd 13th march

Flatwhite31 · 13/07/2017 18:54

Hi and congrats @Poochieblue! I'm going to Paris this weekend and it'll be a shame not to be able to drink any wine, but so worth it if little bean sticks! I'm 6+1. Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday Smile.

Tigger83 · 13/07/2017 21:14

Hi all first scan at 6 weeks a week tomorrow already feeling nervous- have to have it due to increased risks of ectopic with my health and received my booking in appointments for beginning of August. Trying not to think about anything too much until I get further on. First baby died at 6.5 weeks even though I didn't find out till 10 so would like to make it to 8 weeks and have another scan then (that'll be a private reassurance scan I think)

Countdowntofour · 13/07/2017 21:22

@banania I'm worried about how we'll cope with four. I know the baby will fit in fine etc, but it's the practicalities of it (my car will definitely be too small..) and our complete lack of finances right now that plays on my mind. Struggling to be excited about this pregnancy, the situation surrounding it is getting me down. Will be ok in the end.

TeaAndPjs · 14/07/2017 07:40

countdown all very valid reasons to hold off being excited but like you sat it WILL all be ok on the end! These things always work themselves out :)

Flatwhite31 · 14/07/2017 08:15

Hi ladies, how are you all this morning? I'm having such crazy dreams at the moment. Apparently that's common in pregnancy. How funny! Feeling head-achey and sicky this morning, not ideal on school sports day!

SheSaidHeSaid · 14/07/2017 08:35

Ah countdown, I understand your worries but you'll make it work. Things quite often have a habit of falling in place.

I've slept terribly. Basically been waking up every couple of hours and then struggling to get back to sleep again each time. I've got a headache too (which I'm guessing is because of my poor sleep).

Thankfully I'm working from home today so can take it a little easier, although I do actually have work to do. Got my mum, dad and sister coming over later as it's my mum's birthday and will tell them all then. I know it's early as I'm only 6+2 but figured that if anything went wrong I'd need their support anyway. Im a bit nervous about telling my mum, i honestly dont know how she will react, sometimes she's great but other times she does put a very negative spin on things.

Excited1103 · 14/07/2017 08:49

@Flatwhite31 - Some obvious dream symbolism in mine, being evacuated from place to place through crowded offices and airports with my partner and a boy, the 3 of us kept reciting that we had to stick together. They also played pinball together while I went to toilet. Sidebar: don't wipe your bum with butter icing covered chocolate cake, that went pretty much as you might expect in my dream, though I've no idea what that symbolism means.

Otherwise I'm good. Boobs are more sore, tiny vomit last night, still sleeping like I'm advertising mattresses etc. Sorry to hear about your headache, I read paracetamol should be minimised, maybe extra water will help on case you're a bit dehydrated.

Excited1103 · 14/07/2017 08:53

Good luck @Shesaidhesaid, hope it goes well for you. I wasn't sure how my mum might react and actually it was instant pure joy. We decided to tell the other 3 grandparents after the first scan, but she's doing well at keeping it quiet from my dad so far.

mamasiz · 14/07/2017 09:00

Feeling awful - had a cry last night because I feel so overwhelmed. Just about to move into our first home which we completed on the day after bfp(!) So great to have our own place after years of renting but think we underestimated the work it needs and the cost. Also can't stop worrying about how we'll manage with me being on smp when we have some debt to pay off from our house purchase and wedding a year ago - dh is self-employed. To top it all off, I'm super nauseous and my mum just told me our family dog is very poorly and she's thinking it might be time to take her to the vets to be put to sleep. Feel like having a big old bawl right now on the commute. Need someone to shake me back together! Sorry for the overshare - just needed to let it all out. I know I'm lucky in many respects which just makes me feel guilty! Think I might just lay down on my desk when I make it to work...

SheSaidHeSaid · 14/07/2017 09:09

Don't be sorry, mama, that's what we are here for. A little place to vent and share.

You do have a lot going on, I know it's not easy but try not to stress yourself out too much. With the house you can just do one bit at a time and there will probably be things you can leave for a while as they're not essential, only desirable. I think it's natural to worry about money because it is a drop from what you're used to getting but have a little look online for money saving tips and be savvy with your shopping and purchases. As soon as I found out I was pregnant my spending habits changed. No more clothes, shoes, unnecessary junÄ· I used to buy. I obviously can't have Starbucks anymore (decaff just isn't the same), no more money on exoensive alcohol etc and I've not even missed these things.

I'm sorry to hear about your family dog, I think that'll be the hardest thing, especially when you're in limbo about what's going to happen. Just take it one step at a time and see how he/she gets on in the next few days or so.

NorthernBelly · 14/07/2017 09:48

Hi, can I join too? 39, got a dd who is 2yo but had 4 early miscarriages since trying this time - hoping it's 5th time lucky! All seems to be going ok so far but feeling anxious. 5+3 days today, not feeling many symptoms yet. I'm also on my hols at moment, got a consultant appointment at recurrent miscarriage clinic when I get back on Monday, hoping I'll be booked in for an early scan.

stumblymonkeyagain · 14/07/2017 09:57

Mama...you do sound like you have a lot on so perfectly normal to feel overwhelmed and have a good cry, especially with preggo hormones and this is definitely the place you can have a good vent Flowers

I'm feeling slightly on edge this morning as my symptoms have dropped off this morning. No sickness, boobs are a tiny bit sore but nothing like they have been.

I'm hoping that I'm just feeling better as after some insomnia I've had a massive sleep (9.30pm-9.15am). Thank the lord for work from home days!

TeaAndPjs · 14/07/2017 09:57

Think its Easy for us all to be overwhelmed this early on as our bodies are changing, hormones are crazy and worrying that all will be ok!

I'm feeling a bit more relaxed now as have a scan booked for 24th now, got it confirmed this morning! Just need to keep hoping for the best now!

stumblymonkeyagain · 14/07/2017 09:59

Hi Northern...where are you on hols?

Sorry to hear about your previous losses....fingers crossed for this one. How are you feeling about it, are you still able to relax while you're away?

CatPearson2891 · 14/07/2017 10:09

Hi all,

Can I join? Very early days and still a bit cautious, but EDD of 18th March.

I'm in London, (Balham) and am 34 and this will be my first.

WhyTheHeckMe · 14/07/2017 10:23

Looks like I'm out girls. Currently in a hospital ward bleeding and suspect ectopic . Have just had a scan that showed a sac no bigger than 4 weeks (I should be 6) but scan was inconclusive for ectopic.
I wish you all the best with your pregnancies.
Bloody devastated xxx

TeaAndPjs · 14/07/2017 10:28

stumblymonkey try not to worry, symptoms cn come and go this early on

TeaAndPjs · 14/07/2017 10:28

Excited1103 · 14/07/2017 10:28

I'm so sorry to hear that @Whytheheckme. Hope you have someone with you? X

WhyTheHeckMe · 14/07/2017 10:45

Dh has just arrived. I can't stop crying. The sense of loss is absolutely overwhelming x
