I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

Aww @TeaAndPjs so sorry for your previous losses. I really hope this is a sticky, healthy bean.
Well I'm definitely an evening nausea kind of girl! At least I'm at home though and not at work.

OnceUponaMama · 12/07/2017 21:40

Thank you ss18c I bet the list will be bigger than the bump by the time I've bought everything. I know what you mean about the excitement of buying when you're first time pregnant. Everything looks so cute I want to go shopping now! I think I'll buy my first baby item after my 12 week scan though -something to look forward to.

Hi to all the new girls!

Anyone feeling extremely tired?! I'm literally needing matchsticks on my eyes to get me through the day! X

Excited1103 · 12/07/2017 22:14

I've stopped feeling sick at anything or everything with scent since about midday. Just spent quite a long time sobbing onto my partner about it. He thinks maybe it could just come and go. Is that how it works for other people or is it a bad sign? I'm 5w+3 right now.

Excited1103 · 12/07/2017 22:15

Oh, I am still exhausted though, matchsticks would be nice for the daytimes. I've slept a lot generally but right now I'm trying to sleep and failing.

OnceUponaMama · 12/07/2017 22:33

Isn't it intense?! I'm so exhausted during the day but the last two nights I've been wide awake. I wonder if there is such a thing as pregnancy insomnia...

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 12/07/2017 23:06

Eek, I've missed so much! I have lurked in the last few days, typed a message, managed to delete it by mistake, then did the exact same thing the next day! Blush I'm sure 'baby brain' isn't supposed to kick in this early, is it??

Lovely to see some new people, and Flowers to all those dealing with the stress of previous losses.

I phoned to register with the midwife yesterday, and am waiting for a call back to book my booking in appointment. I don't think it'll feel real till I'm 'on the system' proper, IYSWIM - my bfp is receding into memory, and I want someone to confirm I haven't just imagined it!

1000jobstodo · 12/07/2017 23:29

Excited I vividly remember googling 'all my symptoms have disappeared 6 weeks pregnant' and found it was quite common, with all the different stages etc. Unless you get any bleeding, I would try to relax and hope everything is still cooking away nicely, which I'm sure it is! It's hard 2nd time around too as I'm constantly comparing pregnancies.

You'll go through all sorts of ups and downs. Try to just eat chocolate and take each day as it comes. 12 weeks will be here before you know it!

stumblymonkeyagain · 13/07/2017 07:06

Try to just eat chocolate...

This is advice I can get on board with Grin

TeaAndPjs · 13/07/2017 07:43

Thanks ladies:)

onceupon pregnancy insomnia is defo a thing tho I think it passes quickly and is just to do with changing hormones

I'm just feeling totally done in and crampy but other than that I have no other symptoms! I've held off phoning mw to register pregnancy and book booking in app and 12 week scan, would rather speak to my consultant 1st

Doublegloucester · 13/07/2017 08:52

Another supporter of the chocolate advice!

My ankle went over four times yesterday. The fourth time, I fell flat on my face, laptop on my back and cut my elbow, hand and knee!
Nothing to suggest baby's not ok so far... My tummy didn't touch the ground, luckily.
I wonder if the weak ankle thing is preg related though? This early on?
I will be living in trainers from now on!

Excited1103 · 13/07/2017 09:04

Thanks @1000jobstodo, I had a couple of small nausea feelings late last night that made me feel a bit better. My partner finds it very confusing "you're happy because you feel sick???".

@Onceuponamana - yes, intense is the right word. I've never been quite so tired nor so emotional and time goes soooooo slowly.

Excited1103 · 13/07/2017 09:07

@TeaandPJs - when are you seeing your consultant? Fingers crossed for you x

@Doublegloucester - you poor thing, go slowly and carefully! Did the laptop make it, through unscathed?

whereareyousleep · 13/07/2017 09:21

Ouch @doublegloucester that must have hurt I'd stick with the trainers for a while.

Got bad cramps today thinks it just all the stretching going on as I seem to remember having it last time. Such a worrying time can't wait for 12 weeks only 5+3 today and seems forever away. Moving house in next 3-4 weeks so trying to pack up but can't really be bothered Confused

stumblymonkeyagain · 13/07/2017 10:21

My nausea has started this week...sort of heartburn/nausea in the morning and then again just before lunch.

Have armed myself with sick bags, anti nausea wristbands and boiled sweets (which apparently help).

I'm having a bit of a weird shaky thing going on this morning...my hands are shaking like I've overdone it on the booze (obvs not!)...am munching on some cranberries covered in yoghurt in case it's blood sugar though I had a decent breakfast. Weird!

Countdowntofour · 13/07/2017 11:06

6 weeks+2 today.. I'm tired. Woke up twice in the night for a wee (...note to self, no drinks before bed, my pelvic floor is not what it used to be..) I just want to moan about being tired to everyone but only DP and one of my closest friends know. DP says to have a nap but I don't want to wake up feeling groggy and gross!! I really just want to put my pjs back on and stay in bed all day lol. Hope everyone else is feeling okay and managing to avoid too many symptoms!

Fefifoefum · 13/07/2017 11:11

Ohhhhh the nausea!
It's hit me over the last few days, no actual vomits, but yesterday I felt sick the whole day, not cool!

SS81C · 13/07/2017 11:33

I'm the same @FeFiFoe - Tuesday I had constant nausea - had to throw my dinner away on my night shift because the smell of it was making me nauseous-then all day Wednesday when I was trying to sleep and I can't sleep today either because I just feel sick......really gone off food too......hoping it passes because I'm meeting friends at a food festival tomorrow and it could raise some questions if I'm gipping the whole way round haha!

ChaoticKate · 13/07/2017 12:04

Is anyone else getting quite bad cramps? They're quite strong every now and again and have me a bit worried. No blood or spotting or anything but they're so painful it's hard not to think that it's my uterus trying to squeeze stuff out.

stumblymonkeyagain · 13/07/2017 12:12

I'm working near the Gherkin in London and every Thursday is street food day...different each week.

There's a southern fried chicken with Cajun fries stall that I believe is required for my nausea. Grin

stumblymonkeyagain · 13/07/2017 12:13

@ChaoticKate Yep...have had some pretty bad cramps. I think your uterus almost doubles in size in this sort of time so try not to worry too much if there's no spotting

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 13/07/2017 12:28

I've been having some cramps too, mostly quite sharp pains rather than pmt-type aches. No idea what's going on in there, but no spotting so I'm hoping it's all fine.

Got my booking in appt on 14th August - I could have had earlier but would have had to have taken DD, which probably wouldn't have gone well! Grin

rebbles · 13/07/2017 14:18

@onceuponamama I am soooo tired too! I have been going to bed at 8pm! Doesn't help that my DD who is 20mo still wakes up several times in the night!

I finally got a text from my midwife yesterday saying she is away but she will speak to me when she gets back.
Had booking in bloods today and yay I didn't faint!

Banania · 13/07/2017 15:18

Very sleepy here too and been doing a good bit of driving which isn't ideal.

As with all my pregnancies I am failing completely on the giving up caffeine front. Don't think I'm going much over the guideline if at all but quitting is still out of the question.

I'm not missing alcohol but missing the little unwinding feeling I'd get with a small glass of wine with dinner, kids in bed, end of a long day etc.

I had the turning over on my ankle thing too the other day when out for a run. Very frustrsting. Thought it might have been because I was trying to protect my sore hip.

Am starting to freak out a bit about the reality and finances of potentially 3 kids Confused need to try to shelve those thoughts for now.

I'm holding off on going to GP to book in ( am in RoI and process slightly different here). Last time i went at 7 weeks and miscarried a couple of days later.

OrangeCloud18 · 13/07/2017 16:23

I've been having nausea 24/7 for a week now and have been sick all morning so just sat next to the loo for a couple of hours Confused
I still have 3 days off work so enjoying doing nothing and getting some rest.
