I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

Rang the GP, the earliest apt they could give me was in 2 and a half weeks, and that's with a Doctor. Seems like such a long wait!

So far my only symptoms are slight nausea and increased appetite. No sore breasts but I didn't have that last time either.

ZylaB · 12/07/2017 13:27

First joint antenatal/diabetes appointment booked for two weeks today with a scan, will be 6+6. Just fretting because I feel like I don't have as many symptoms as I did a couple of days ago, these early days are so worrying!

SheSaidHeSaid · 12/07/2017 13:38

Has anyone who self referred via the online form had their appointment through the post?

DancingUnicorn · 12/07/2017 13:52

Shesaid my scan date was incredibly efficient (but the department is huge). My midwife appointment and details took about ten days to come through.

DancingUnicorn · 12/07/2017 13:52

Hi to the newbies!! Hi Tigger

SheSaidHeSaid · 12/07/2017 14:04

Ok, cool, Dancing, thanks.

I just want my scan to be as close to 12 weeks as poss as my DH is away for work for a few days at something like 12+4, I don't want to postpone it and he doesn't want to miss it.

OrangeCloud18 · 12/07/2017 14:21

Hello everyone! Can I join?
I was on the February thread but had an early scan today which puts me at 6 weeks with an EDD of March 7th.
We saw a heartbeat which makes us feel so much better (due to family history).

Countdowntofour · 12/07/2017 15:04

@stumblymonkeyagain I don't know about that 😂 I'm still googling the s**t out of everything lol. My girls are almost 10, 7 and 4 and I'm 30. Really do think this'll be my last baby though lol!

SheSaidHeSaid · 12/07/2017 15:18

Hi orange! My EDD is 7th March too although I have an early private scan booked for a weeks time so that might change though.

Doublegloucester · 12/07/2017 16:33

Welcome, orange!
Nausea really kicking in here, 5+4. And still have to finish my commute home inc 45 min walk.... Then do toddler bath and bed... Aargh!

OrangeCloud18 · 12/07/2017 16:33

Hello SheSaid, I had an early private scan this morning, it was really worth it! That's how we found out I was 6 weeks, not 8 as originally thought. We also got 5 pictures to take home (instead of the 2 advertised) Grin

SophSoph92 · 12/07/2017 16:50

Ladies, how much does the private scan cost?

OrangeCloud18 · 12/07/2017 17:01

Soph It varies between 50£ to about 150£ but it depends where you are and what you want. Mine was 89£ for 20min which also included an internal one in case they could not see anything with normal scan, pictures and a report to take home. They had a big tv on the wall so we saw the heartbeat really well!
Double My nausea has been terrible! I found that what helps is eating a little something every hour or so, so my stomach is never empty.

SheSaidHeSaid · 12/07/2017 17:01

Mine was about £30 as I got a deal on Groupon at a place near me (with good reviews of the clinic). I think they're usually between £75 and £90 though from what I've seen.

SheSaidHeSaid · 12/07/2017 17:03

I hope they don't push my dates back, already feel like an eternity till I can tell people why I'm acting weird, not drinking or cancelling events.

Though, having said that, all I really want to see is the heartbeat.

SophSoph92 · 12/07/2017 17:10

Is there an earliest time they can do it?

SheSaidHeSaid · 12/07/2017 17:13

Erm.... I think it said 6 weeks at the clinic I booked with.

I went for 7 weeks though as more of a chance of seeing a heartbeat at that stage.

OrangeCloud18 · 12/07/2017 17:27

Soph Most start from 6 weeks but some won't see you before 8 weeks though.

1000jobstodo · 12/07/2017 18:28

soph most places also do a package- 1 early scan and one scan at 16 weeks to check on baby and find out gender if required. Place near me does both for £130. I'm going for both so I can explain to my dd about the baby. (Fingers crossed I get to this point) at around this time. Feels safer than doing so at 12 weeks..
Depends what sort of thing you want?

Flatwhite31 · 12/07/2017 18:31

Hi ladies, omg I'm knackered! Took 60 kids round the Roman Baths on a school trip today. Great fun, but tiring. Luckily I've felt pretty good all day, apart from suddenly not wanting to eat the rest of my sandwich at lunchtime. I keep getting episodes where I'm suddenly really hungry and have to eat though!

Have tried reading everyone's messages, by am shattered so haven't taken everything in. Hope you're all ok Smile.

SheSaidHeSaid · 12/07/2017 19:16

Ooooh, the Roman baths. Now that's somewhere I'd love to go but just haven't got round to. Maybe not as nice if you're taking 60 kids round though.

I'm shattered too. My job is a mix of working in an office, working at different sites/locations and working from home. I finished my site meeting early and came home, I cannot tell you how tempted I was to go to bed at 3pm. Tiredness has hit me like a ton of bricks again.

TeaAndPjs · 12/07/2017 19:20

Hi all :) can I (cautiously) join please

Due #3 around 20ish march.

Very cautious as I've had a MMC in Oct last year, a chemical pregnancy in January and another MMC in May, tissue from both MMC were sent away for genetic testing (2 MCs before having my 2 DS so wanted to test) and both have came back as trisomy 16, 1 loss to this is very common but very rare to have 2+ and pits you at higher risk of it happening in future, just hoping all is well this time!

Hope everyone is keeping well

DancingUnicorn · 12/07/2017 19:36

Hi tea. I remember you from my time on the mc boards. I'm sorry about your losses, and it must be scary to get results that put you at a higher risk. I have everything crossed that this is a healthy sticky bean for you.

TeaAndPjs · 12/07/2017 19:46

Thank you dancingunicorn :) I'm hoping all will be fine and I think this would be our family complete :)

BlueeSpottyTiger · 12/07/2017 20:00

Aww tea im very sorry for your losses! Goodluck xx

All scans at my local nhs partner private clinic are £50.. then you get the 3d packages ect.
I think I'll book one for 10 weeks.. as peice of mind before my hols and 16 to find out the gender abit early.. and around 28 weeks for a 3D one 😁

Welcome new ladies and congrats 💖

I have a super migraine.. which i remember all to well from pregancy with dd.
