I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

@stumbly I've gone for 7 last two times when offered early scan as I think you are very likely to see a heartbeat at that stage which then is a very good sign, fingers crossed!

Excited1103 · 10/07/2017 20:11

I thought I liked stats, but that puts me on 17.3% and I thought it was 10% by week 5. Confused

Anyway, I've put 22nd July in the diary as that's down at 5% and 8th August for 2%. Safety markers.

Flatwhite31 · 10/07/2017 20:14

@Sunny just read your update, so sorry my lovely. Look after yourself. Xx

lokelani · 10/07/2017 20:37

@Excited1103 my dates are exactly the same as yours. I thought I was lower than 17.5% too so I feel more nervous now!

1000jobstodo · 10/07/2017 21:39

Hi all, please can I join?

Got my darker line bfp today (tested two days ago and lines very faint) at 13dpo. Line still not as dark as I'd hoped for but going to test on Thursday with digital.
First pregnancy had really dark lines so I'm a bit nervous!
4+1 today. Due date 18th March if all goes well.

Tentatively excited! No symptoms other than feeling really full with full on indigestion to suddenly starving..

WiIdfire · 10/07/2017 23:58

@lokilani I'm eligible for an NHS scan at 8 weeks due to previous ectopic, although they've booked it for 7+4. Will be nice to see if its in the right place.

Welcome to all the newbies!

stumblymonkeyagain · 11/07/2017 09:22

Oh no...sorry about the stats! I didn't mean to make people feel more nervous ConfusedBlush

lokelani · 11/07/2017 10:32

@stumblymonkeyagain it's ok! SmileI'm looking at the negatives rather than positives in the stats!I've got really really anxious as the last week has gone on. I want to talk to my mum. But DH is correct in that she isn't actually calming she will just panic and probably worry me more (I'm the one who calms everyone). So I feel a bit overwhelmed as I don't have anyone to speak to. I don't think I have anything to worry over. I have aches and pains but everyone does? In fact I'm more worried that my boobs aren't as sore as they were this time last week.

Pinky333777 · 11/07/2017 10:32

Hi everyone!
I'm about 4wks. Feeling fine mostly.
Awoke the other night feeling nauseous, but I went back to sleep and that was that.
I've had a couple of slight dizzy spells today. Ate like a horse over the weekend - but I might have just been greedy :-D
Reg'd with a midwife yesterday. It's starting to get real.
Sat up from 40am today fretting about how we'll cope financially on smp.
My partner seems convinced we can get tax credits or something, but the .gov calculator says different :-/
I'm sure things will pan out.
I also cried at a 90 yr old lady on the news doing an egg and spoon race this morning, so now might not be the best time for me to be thinking about such problems lol

Hope everyone is well.
Despite my worries I'm also very excited. Becoming a Mummy has been almost a life long dream!

SS81C · 11/07/2017 10:45

Went to my GP this morning (only an hour's wait with a stroppy toddler.....i don't think we were too popular) and I've got my booking pack to fill out....still feels a bit surreal..hopefully will hear from the midwife this week or next.....

Countdowntofour · 11/07/2017 13:56

Hi ladies! Not a reg mumsnetter but thought Id give it a go 😉 I'm 6 weeks today, feeling tired (not sure if it's the preg or that I've cut down on coffee!) and have on/off nausea everyday. This'll be my fourth baby, excited but nervous!

stumblymonkeyagain · 11/07/2017 14:26

Hi everyone who has joined...

Countdown....your fourth!!! So much wisdom to bring to us first timers! Grin

Banania · 11/07/2017 14:36

Hi all, tentatively dipping a toe in here. EDD 13 March which makes me 5 weeks today. Had a mc about 8 weeks ago at 7 weeks and got pg again without getting a period at all Confused was pretty surprised.

So this is pregnancy no. 4 and I have 2 dc already, aged 5 and 2.

Symptoms-wise, the batshit dreams were the first early clue. Sore boobs, implantation bleed (so it's not a myth!) and constipation followed. No nausea yet.

Hope everyone doing well x

Fefifoefum · 11/07/2017 15:23

On hello new ladies! Welcome Smile.

Pinky I think everyone worries about money, maternity pay needs a shake up! However, my friend put it into perspective, she's just had a baby, she said she's having a full year off work, and if they run up a bit of a credit card bill who cares?! They'll pay it back when she's back in work, people get into a bit of debt with much less important things (cars, holidays, sofas) than time with their baby!

Loki if you feel like you need to talk to someone why not tell 1friend you know will help?

I've just finished a run of nights. So.tired.

Banania · 11/07/2017 15:25

Oh and hip ache also, to whoever had mentioned that. It's quite unpleasant. I'm a novice runner and found my hip was v sore after a run. It's still sore now though not when I'm actually running. Trying to rest it a bit and not do too much as you do need to be careful about these things in pregnancy.

lokelani · 11/07/2017 15:28

@Banania that was me. I've read it might be the round ligament?

@Fefifoefum yes I think my sister is actually the best shout. She is just on holiday this week

stumblymonkeyagain · 11/07/2017 16:36

Can I ask a question for those that have had previous mc's....did you have spotting or symptoms that lead you to believe you might have a mc or did it come as a total shock?

Hope it's not too insensitive a question...I'm just trying to get my head around the whole thing as this is my first time.

I keep reassuring myself that no spotting probably means everything is okay but I suspect I'm being naive?

Flatwhite31 · 11/07/2017 17:26

@SS81C, poor you having to entertain a toddler at the GP surgery for all that time!
Wow@Countdowntofour, congrats on your fourth! I'm a first timer and keep reading scary stories about how hard it's all going to be! That's so cool you're having your fourth, and how lovely for your baby's siblings.
@Pinky, SMP in teaching is awful, but we have savings and am saving as much as I can at the moment. As @Fefi said, people get into debt for much more frivolous reasons than a baby.

Banania · 11/07/2017 17:36

stumbly for most people i guess no spotting is a case of so far so good.

Missed mc do happen though, and are the toughest thing.

Mine started with spotting. In hindsight I'd not been having as much symptoms as with my previous pregnancies. No nausea, though lots of people don't get nausea at all.

Sadly there's no way to control any of this really, just hang on for the ride really Brew

ZylaB · 11/07/2017 18:02

Stumbly my first mc I bled for a couple of days first. My second mc I didn't bleed, I was getting a bump and everything, my body didn't know the baby had died.

That probably doesn't help, sorry!

rebbles · 11/07/2017 18:36

Hope everyone all doing OK! I am really wanting to tell everyone now but waiting until scan.

ChaoticKate · 11/07/2017 19:58

I told my mum and MIL today. Apparently they had both already completely separately guessed when they saw me last week. No idea how they worked it out but my bubble was well and truly burst! Now I'm worried that I have some kind of secret neon sign above my head and everyone's going to guess...

SheSaidHeSaid · 11/07/2017 20:06

Evening everyone!

I know the statistics are scary but in some ways I like seeing them go down. I just can't wait till my private scan in a weeks time as that'll definitely put my mind at ease a bit if we manage to see/hear a heartbeat.

I'm still just getting slight nausea and metallic taste in my mouth (metallic is becoming more and more annoying now). No other symptoms other than sore boobs.

Anyone else getting any new symptoms?

1000jobstodo · 11/07/2017 20:27

I've just done something really silly! Cooked some chicken strip things and put them in and took about 20 mins later. Box said they'd take 15 mins from chilled. Having eaten 6 (on my own this evening and put dd to bed and just tucked into a few for tea with some rice) I noticed the last mouthful's texture wasn't right. Had a few more on the side and can see they're pink in the middle Shock I even tested they were piping hot throughout, but I didn't turn an overhead light on...
I never do this. I'm just tired and dd being very difficult.
I hope I'm not sick later! I know from desperately googling that it can't harm a baby, it's just not pleasant. I'm 4+2....
So stupid!
