I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

I'll be 32 when I have baby. Im having serious insomnia literally fell asleep at 5am then was up at 7.30am with 3 year old DS been the same for 4 days now. I had insomnia in my last pregnancy but not until the 3rd trimester I remember watching Masterchef at 4am for weeks. Not looking forward to work tomorrow with no sleep. Boobs a bit sore today but not really any other symptoms doesn't feel real still. Had a nightmare trying to get booked in with midwife both doctors and midwife saying need to contact other as small village surgery will try again tomorrow as was getting angry with it on Friday.

SS81C · 09/07/2017 20:56

Onceuponamama I hear ya with the bounty ladies on wards....super pushy....

That's not good whereareyousleep hope the sleep thing gets better....ive not been sleeping well but I think it's the heat and the bladder feeling constantly full.

That's rubbish about the GP/MW situation they should be able to figure out between them who you're supposed to see and how!

Excited1103 · 09/07/2017 20:58

That sounds annoying @whereareyousleep. I was able to register with maternity online, maybe you already checked and that's an option for you, but mentioning it just in case. Actually I didn't get anything from it yet apart from an email saying I must read the screening test brochures, but I only registered yesterday.

Has anyone else read the screening brochures yet? I think I'll go for the Harmony early blood test for Downs if I can, it'd be nice to remove that worry. My partner's symptoms seem to have adjusted today from his week-long worrying about miscarriage to worrying about Downs. He also says I'm more stern about the need to get the house done up, I suppose I have been a bit more demanding. Is anyone else's partner finding the early stage tricky?

Excited1103 · 09/07/2017 20:59

(I meant NOT an option, sorry.)

Fizzie100 · 09/07/2017 20:59

I threw away my bounty pack last time. It was totally rubbish! I am so excited for everyone here, the 1st timers and the NTH timers! We'll have to graduate to a Facebook group when we've had scans. Loads eAsier to catch up and get to know one another. Hope everyone sleeps well!

DancingUnicorn · 09/07/2017 21:03

Good idea fizzie! Assuming we can keep it secret! I don't plan on being pregnant or having a baby on Facebook.... dunno how that will work out!

Where I am harmony is offered if nuchal screening comes back as high risk. So I won't do it privately in advance of that.

Fizzie100 · 09/07/2017 21:10

My 2015 group is totally secret. Not searchable. Not viewable when you comment on posts. One of the girls set it up and it's totally watertight. It's been invaluable through the whole journey from scans to toddler hood and we're all having a big meet up soon. Will be lovely to get to know everyone here too as we go on this journey!

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 09/07/2017 21:37

Ooh, a Facebook group would be great! I lost touch with my one from when I was pregnant with DD, which I have always been a bit sad about, so I will try harder to keep in touch this time.

Whatsnottolike · 09/07/2017 21:57

Hi ladies, Please can I join? Got my BFP on Friday. I'm 32 and this will be baby no. 2. My DS is a very energetic 3 year old. So far pretty tired, a bit queasy and completely lost my appetite. I had no symptoms at all during my first pregnancy so this is all very new. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

SunnyCoco · 09/07/2017 22:19

Hi guys
5 + 2 today and have started bleeding quite a lot... just as I feared.
Felt like this was my
Last chance for DC2

YouCantArgueWithStupid · 09/07/2017 22:30

@SunnyCoco I'm so sorry x I don't know if this is helpful but with DD I bled so heavily it went through my jeans and it happened every few weeks until I was 7 months x thinking of you x

Excited1103 · 09/07/2017 22:41

Sorry to hear that @SunnyCoco, I hope you're ok.

SunnyCoco · 09/07/2017 22:59

YouCantArgue - may I ask did you lose the baby? Sorry to ask

Smiley1981 · 09/07/2017 23:05

Hope you're ok Sunny, keep hoping yet.

DancingUnicorn · 10/07/2017 06:37

Oh sunny I really hope it stops. Are you being seen by the EPU? I'm so sorry, I really hope it's not what you fear. Thinking of you.

mamasiz · 10/07/2017 06:46

Thinking of you sunny xxx

Flatwhite31 · 10/07/2017 06:54

So sorry to hear that @SunnyCoco. Thinking of you. Can you get in touch with your GP? X

ChaoticKate · 10/07/2017 07:23

@SunnyCoco It may not be what you fear. Bleeding does seem to be surprisingly common in healthy pregnancies. I'm really hoping that its all ok for you.

SunnyCoco · 10/07/2017 07:38

Thank you I'm going to ring gp when they open at 8. My last pregnancy I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks and I had to wait for 7 hours at EPU and I just can't face doing that again

Excited1103 · 10/07/2017 07:55

Fingers crossed it sticks SunnyCoco, good luck x

YouCantArgueWithStupid · 10/07/2017 08:19

@SunnyCoco don't be sorry to ask. No we went the whole pregnancy and she's now 2. They never found out what the bleeding was. Every time they'd see the blood and that it was a "fresh" bleed but my cervix would be closed. Have you got hold of the EPU yet? X

Fizzie100 · 10/07/2017 08:58

Thinking of you Sunny. I completely understand the stress of bleeding in pregnancy. Bleeding in my first pregnancy sadly ended in miscarriage but I bled throughout my second pregnancy and he is now 18 mo. The not knowing is a killer. But we are all here if you need us x

SunnyCoco · 10/07/2017 09:06

Thanks so much everyone. Just back from the GP. He says he's pretty sure it's a miscarriage and there's no point going for a scan as it's too early to tell either way. He was very kind. But I'm devastated. My little girl is almost 3 and I've been trying to have second baby for over a year. Anyway. Thanks all for your help and wishing you much more luck than I have! X

Excited1103 · 10/07/2017 09:17

So sorry to hear that SunnyCoco, take good care of yourself. Unless you already have, perhaps try to get tested for infections, hypothyroidism etc, in case something is causing the delay. Good luck and hope it all works out soon x

Fizzie100 · 10/07/2017 09:25

So sorry Sunny. Thinking of you x
