I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

DancingUnicorn · 09/07/2017 10:13

You guys are making me feel old!! Haha!

lokelani · 09/07/2017 10:48

@DancingUnicorn I'm 32 will be 33 at due date.

DancingUnicorn · 09/07/2017 11:00

Ah, ok. I'm 30, will be 31. (I know it's not really old!)

mamasiz · 09/07/2017 11:08

I feel old! 32 now, 33 on delivery. What's the medical term, prima gravida or something?

Excited1103 · 09/07/2017 11:29

I'm 41, so I'm hoping that this thread will stay inclusive for all ages.

Speechie14 · 09/07/2017 11:52

So sorry ladydolly. Take care of yourself. Xx

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 09/07/2017 12:02

I'm so sorry about the chemical pregnancy, ladydolly -I really hope next month will be your month. Flowers

Excited 1103, I'm 36. We'll keep all these young'uns in order together! Grin Anyone else here over 35?

I remember in my last ante natal thread we had ages 18 - 40-something, and we got on like a house on fire!

DancingUnicorn · 09/07/2017 12:18

Excited baby love knows no boundaries!! The young uns can bring the spriteliness, we can bring the life experience! ;) I have no clue what I'm doing, I've never even changed a nappy before. I need everyone!!!

Fefifoefum · 09/07/2017 12:41

Oh lady dolly look after yourself Flowers

I'm in the middle ground at 28, i need all your help! Spritelyness and life experience this way please!!

Excited1103 · 09/07/2017 12:50

I'm definitely not spritely at the moment, not sure I know what I'm doing either. I'm a good talker though, so I'll bring that if it helps.

SheSaidHeSaid · 09/07/2017 13:02

So sorry to hear that, ladydolly.

I'm 31 and definitely don't feel sprightly, I actually feel hungover which I'm clearly not. It's like all the energy has been sapped from my body. I haven't been sick either but I feel a bit queasy and keep getting a eatery mouth. I just want to go back to bed but have to go to the in laws in half an hour.

Smiley1981 · 09/07/2017 13:15

I'm 35 Grin definitely feeling less tired the past couple of days, which is a relief. Though it has to be said, since I've stopped the coffee and wine, I am sleeping amazingly! Would have done it years ago, but I like coffee and wine too much Grin

ChaoticKate · 09/07/2017 13:50

I'm 34 and this will be my first. Feeling very tired today and nausea has really ramped up this morning. I'm going to put a positive spin on it and think that all those hormones that are making me feel so rubbish are a good sign that everything is ok for the minute.

lokelani · 09/07/2017 13:52

For those that have self referred at the doctors rather than seen a doctor how long has it taken for a midwife to get in contact? I did my paperwork on Thursday, but so far the only medical interaction I've had is with a (very friendly) receptionist. I'm not sure I can wait for a 12 week call in? Will I see someone sooner?

Fevs · 09/07/2017 14:05

So sorry to hear that @ladydolly - best of luck from now on.

I'm 35 and this is my second. I'll be 36 by due date though!

Does anyone know if it's ok to do Pilates when you're under 12 weeks?
I've googled and mixed reviews come up so I wasn't too sure. I want to continue with spinning too but I think that's best left until 12 weeks or over.
I'm not even someone who does much exercise but I can see myself getting huge if I'm not careful!

DancingUnicorn · 09/07/2017 14:35

Loke I had a scan date through very quickly (2 days!) but my midwife details took about ten days. Got a letter with info and details of booking appt. I would expect to see someone before 12 week scan, but when varies a lot I think.

I had a day of nausea, but that's gone again. But I'm increasingly tired. My boobs still don't hurt. I seem to get increasingly dizzy/light headed when I get up and sometimes even when I'm lying down! But trying to assume everything is ok in there. Worrying isn't going to help me! (It's not always easy though!!)

lokelani · 09/07/2017 14:53

@DancingUnicorn ok thanks. I might chase it up tomorrow. I think I just need to speak to someone to help me calm down a bit. I think each case is different so try not to worry (says I laying in the sun worrying).

I did another test this morning and it's still positive. But this time the result line was darker than the control line. I've read this is to do with there being only so much pink dye in a test and high levels of hormone pull the colour to the result line first?

DH is being a star though. He's set me up
a relaxing shaded area in the garden. Smile

stumblymonkeyagain · 09/07/2017 15:06

I'm 35 in August and this is my first too!

I've spent lots of time volunteering as babysitter over the past six years though so know all the basics Grin

We've been to Windsor Castle with friends today and I was having a lot of quite painful cramping as we walked around so keen to get home and check everything is okay

Fizzie100 · 09/07/2017 15:07

I'm 33! Had my little one just before I turned 32. I don't really feel any symptoms at the moment which im trying to be chilled about. Not quite 5 weeks so mega early although I can't stop my mind racing ahead to names and labour. Last time I had a rather unexpectedly speedy 2 hour labour so am wondering if the same may happen again. Let's get to 5 weeks first.....Wink

Flatwhite31 · 09/07/2017 15:20

Is anyone having trouble sleeping? The heat here isn't helping (currently 27C), but some nights my sleep is really broken (preparing me for sleepless nights maybe?! Haha!).

I had my first noticeable dizzy spell earlier, ironically while in a bar ordering non alcoholic cocktails! Haha! It passed very quickly though. No bad nausea or sickness yet, but I woke up feeling like I needed sugar immediately, so had some orange juice. I'm also weeing a lot @Excited1103, but that could also be due to drinking loads due to the warm weather.

Excited1103 · 09/07/2017 15:52

@Flatwhite - I was awake for a while at 5.30 with the weeing, I don't know if I couldn't get back to sleep because of being hot, excited or just not sleeping well. I have had a couple of half hour naps since and thinking of having another, so it might be more accurate right now to say that I have trouble not sleeping. My partner blames it on suddenly stopping caffeine since Friday lunchtime. I might google caffeine withdrawal symptoms before my next nap.

Excited1103 · 09/07/2017 15:57

Hmmm, swap depression out for a mix of anxiety and excitement, and I think I have the set: www.caffeineinformer.com/caffeine-withdrawal-symptoms-top-ten. Well, I suppose I had to give up caffeine sometime.

Excited1103 · 09/07/2017 15:57

Has everyone who's really tired been a habitual caffeine abuser before?

lokelani · 09/07/2017 16:03

@Excited1103 I don't drink coffee or coke. But would normally have 4 cups of tea a day. I ditched it last week but I had a week or so before that where I felt exhausted. But I was putting it down to jet lag.

@Flatwhite31 I wake up twice In the night now and am lucky to be asleep past 6am. I can normally sleep a morning away at the weekend!
