I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

Hello ladies, congratulations to everyone on your BFPs. Room for another?
I got my BFP on Thursday on cycle2 and am hugely excited (if a little anxious as have previously had a MC at 7 weeks). I have an 18 mo little boy and the EDD of this baby is March 12th although with my longer cycles I expect to be put back to around March 18th. Be lovely to join the chatter, I am still really good friends with lots of ladies on my 2015 board and it's been an invaluable support. Here's to hand holding, not too much knicker checking, bumps, scans and labour countdowns. The journey begins!
Nice to 'meet you all'.

Flatwhite31 · 08/07/2017 13:47

Welcome and congratulations @Fizzie! Everyone on here is so lovely, so it's a great thread to join Smile.

I'm just back from a picnic and runaround in the park with my 3 year old nephew. He loved every minute, especially the slides and swings. Now back home putting my feet up.

Re coffee, I've been having decaff some days, or caffeinated on others (mainly caffeinated at weekends as my decaff jar is at school). I drink no more than one caffeinated drink a day any way, and I really dislike Coke, so that's one less thing to cut out.

I feel like I could go for a nap now! Zzzzz.

Hi, I'm 4+6 weeks. I tested on Monday, because I already decided on Sunday that I was pregnant. Then I did a clearblue test on the Tuesday and got a 2-3 weeks indicator.

41
First baby
Due March 11th
Registered with the midwifery thing online only this morning, haven't heard back yet.
Very excited, but a bit nervous, my partner keeps reminding me to be cautious.
Phoned and told my mum on Thursday because I couldn't wait any longer, she was over the moon but knows how to keep quiet.

Excited1103 · 08/07/2017 13:56

Oh - also bloody knackered all the time the last few weeks. I have hypothyroidism, so that's often normal, had a lot of issues getting something sorted with meds, but happily I think it's a different kind of hormonal tiredness now.
I feel a bit sick at bad smells and smoking. Had no idea about caffeine so I've been tanking loads and now feel sad I have to stop. I've been off the beer only since last week, but I guess the first 2 weeks don't matter as much for the baby, right?

Excited1103 · 08/07/2017 14:11

Also I'm drinking crazy amounts of water, weeing every hour and keep getting leg cramps or restless legs when I'm tired. Now I think about it, I've been getting leg cramps for the last few weeks, so almost since day 1. I can't figure out if the tummy twinges are my uterus or just gas from all the soda water I drank at the pub yesterday (looks like g&t, right?). Crazy amount of changes for so early on. Does anybody have a good suggestion for the leg cramps?

stumblymonkeyagain · 08/07/2017 14:14

Hi @Excited1103 and @Fizzie100!

Don't worry about the caffeine in the first couple of weeks...baby isn't hooked up to your blood supply at that point so it wouldn't have affected them at all Smile

Bee91 · 08/07/2017 17:32

Hi All !

Im 5 weeks today - eek - due March 10th 2018
I'm 26 and this is my first

  • All exciting and terrifying at the same time!
I'd always told myself i wouldn't tell anyone until the 12 week mark but I had to tell my manager because of my job. Some of my colleagues have guessed - guess i looked as queasy as i felt!
ChaoticKate · 08/07/2017 18:17

I'm down to one coffee a day before I leave the house and then it's decaf tea for the rest of the day. Luckily everyone at work knows I only drink decaf anyway so it's not remotely suspicious. The nausea on the other hand might be a bit of a dead giveaway if it gets any worse. I get waves of it during the morning and then later in the evening. I've also gone off chocolate, which can only be a good thing! Very crampy, especially in the evening and I must have some sort of perma-bloating because my clothes are constantly cutting into my stomach.

Onceuponamama · 08/07/2017 19:03

Hi everyone!

I found out I was pregnant a week ago. Two pregnancy apps (ovia and what to expect), 12 positive tests later and I am now 4 weeks 5 days!
I am 24 but will be 25 at my edd 12th of March. This is my first baby/pregnancy.
I'm over the moon but really scared of something bad happening! I really cannot wait to have the first scan to make sure everything is OK!

Xx

stumblymonkeyagain · 08/07/2017 19:13

I've actually had to get a pair of maternity jeans today because I'm so bloated....I look easily five months pregnant. My jeans won't do up and my jeggings were cutting in so badly I had two stomachs!

RoosMummy2012 · 08/07/2017 21:09

I know what you mean stumblymonkey, I'm in maternity dresses as everything else is so tight and uncomfortable, especially in this heat too! I barely have to eat anything and I blow up like a balloon!

SS81C · 08/07/2017 21:30

@stumblymonkey oh tell me about it. We went to a BBQ this afternoon and I spent most of the day sat down because if I stood up I looked like I had a huge bump. They were already suspicious because I wasn't drinking.
Feeling properly sick this evening......with heartburn.....also having a panic about how I'm going to cope with 2.....my toddler is running me ragged today.....

ladydolly · 09/07/2017 06:36

I hoped over too early, turned out to be a chemical pregnancy and af arrived last night. Maybe next month :)

Good luck everyone!!

Fizzie100 · 09/07/2017 06:51

So sorry to hear that lady dolly. Be kind to yourself and make sure you take time off work if you need to. Wishing you lots of luck for the months ahead x

Excited1103 · 09/07/2017 06:53

Sorry to hear that ladydolly, it's sad even so early like that. I hope you conceive a healthy one next month.

ChaoticKate · 09/07/2017 06:58

@ladydolly very sorry to hear that. At least it shows that everything is in good working order even if it didn't stick this time. Fingers crossed it won't be long for you.

Flatwhite31 · 09/07/2017 06:58

So sorry to hear that @ladydolly. Look after yourself, and fingers crossed for your next cycle.

PandaCat · 09/07/2017 07:15

Aww, sorry to hear @ladydolly
FX next month is your month!

PandaCat · 09/07/2017 07:20

Also @Onceuponamama congrats! I am 24 too, altho this is my second pregnancy.

It is really hard to shake the feeling that something will go wrong. I am trying to distract myself, easier said than done though!

DancingUnicorn · 09/07/2017 07:30

So sorry ladydolly. It's seriously shit. Sending lots of love and hope you have good people around you.

lokelani · 09/07/2017 07:53

@ladydolly oh I'm sorry to hear that xx

SS81C · 09/07/2017 08:23

So sorry to hear that @ladydolly - big sticky thoughts for next month xx

stumblymonkeyagain · 09/07/2017 08:38

Sorry to hear about the chemical LadyDolly...I've had a couple myself. Hope you treat yourself well this week Flowers

I've heard (not sure if any scientific basis!) that chemicals are often the bodies way of gearing up for pregnancy so fingers crossed you'll be on one of these threads soon enough x

Excited1103 · 09/07/2017 09:44

Just had my 6th wee since midnight. I hope this is just a temporary symptom.

@DancingUnicorn - I've been hungrier too, but at random times. I felt quite full without breakfast until 12pm yesterday, then had 4 cream crackers with chilli cheese for a 5am snack. They're the fibre ones though, so that's healthy right?

BlueeSpottyTiger · 09/07/2017 10:00

Oh ladydolly I'm so sorry to hear that Sad i hope your okay.. look after yourself. Fx that next month is your month xxx
