I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

Groupon has some deals on private scans, by the way. There's one near me for £40.

lokelani · 06/07/2017 14:37

@SunnyCoco it's scary isn't it. Sending lots of Positive thoughts your way.

I stood in Waitrose earlier totally at a loss as to what I can / want to eat! I'm on decaf free tea hoping no one realises I'm suddenly using my own tea!

Speechie14 · 06/07/2017 15:06

Hell to all the new people. Just had an appointment with the nurse (you can't self refer to midwifery here). Confirmed pregnancy and booked in with the midwife on the 25th, which seems quite early as I'll only be 7+4. Also booked a reassurance scan for the 28th. Just need to get through the next few weeks now.

mamasiz · 06/07/2017 15:22

Hang on in there @SunnyCoco - sending hugs xx

ladydolly · 06/07/2017 15:26

Hi all! waves at bluetiger I've had 3 very faint bfp's today, af due tomorrow so still very early but I feel so sick I'm optimistic this is for real. This is my 2nd, dc1 is 2.5 years and has recently been requesting a baby brother or sister!

I'm due around the 16th March which would put me at 11 weeks for when we go on holiday with 10 other family members!! I had an early scan at 9 weeks last time because I wanted to know everything was pk before a long work trip. We went private and they actually showed us in 4d which was mad! It cost about £90 as I recall. We'll probably do the same again this time if it works out. Still 'cautiously optimistic' Smile

For those feeling nauseas I recommend the anti travel sickness bands you can get in the chemist, they go on pressure points on your wrists. It may be all in my head but they were a lifesaver for me last time.

SunnyCoco · 06/07/2017 15:40

Thank you all. I'm going to see if epu will let me book an early assurance scan x

SS81C · 06/07/2017 16:44

Spoke to my GP surgery today and I have to see the GP first and they refer me to the midwife....going to go to the drop in on Tuesday (which I'm sure will be so much fun with a toddler!!!) but it's the only day I can go next week.....
Have been absolutely shattered today. Could still be post night shift jet lag but I'm not normally this rubbish.

RoosMummy2012 · 06/07/2017 17:00

Hi ladies, I've been lurking on the board since Sunday when I got my bfp! I'm currently 4+4 based on LMP so due 11 March, seems like a popular date on here!
I have a little boy who is 4 and starts school in September Confused not sure how that happened so quick!
We managed a bfp on our first month of trying and have been feeling so tired and bloated, luckily no sickness yet (fingers crossed as I didn't get any with my first).
So yeah....hi!!

mamasiz · 06/07/2017 17:29

Snap @RoosMummy2012 ! First try for us too, and due 11th March! Welcome Smile

lokelani · 06/07/2017 18:38

@mamasiz ditto!

Flatwhite31 · 06/07/2017 18:51

Wow loads of messages! Congrats to all the newbies! I got my first appt date - 9th August! I'll be just shy of ten weeks by then, so it seems pretty late for a first appointment. Maybe that's normal though? I am still relatively symptom free. Struggling to eat breakfast, but am fine the rest of the day, and my boobs are really sore, but that's honestly it!

DancingUnicorn · 06/07/2017 19:04

Hi! Welcome to all the newbies! I'll try to update the list at the weekend! (But obviously won't be offended if someone fancies doing it sooner!)

Sunny I'm sorry you are feeling anxious. I completely empathise, it's so incredibly difficult. I can barely focus on anything else other than this might not end the way I want it to! As Gracie said, try to take deep breaths and count to 20 if it gets too much.

Flatwhite31 · 06/07/2017 19:29

@Dancing it's such an anxious time. Every pain, twinge etc sends me into a panic. I guess we just have to take each day as it comes. It's going to be a lonnnnng five weeks until my appointment...

DancingUnicorn · 06/07/2017 19:49

Got home to my appt date, and it's 23rd July. So much earlier than last time (I was 11 weeks!!!) I feel so much calmer knowing I'll be able to talk to the midwife in a couple of weeks.

Flatwhite31 · 06/07/2017 20:04

Ah that's fab it's earlier. I wish mine was earlier! I'm SO hot today. It's currently 27C here at 8pm! Wilting.

lokelani · 06/07/2017 20:46

@DancingUnicorn what do you mean update the list?

I went and did my paperwork at the doctors earlier so guess I'm waiting for a letter/referral now.

I met my best friend for dinner and didn't spill the beans. But I know she suspected!

whereareyousleep · 06/07/2017 20:54

Hi all got a BFP today due date 13/3/18. I have a nearly 4yo DS have been trying for a second for 3 years. I had fertility treatment to have DS and we were going to be referred tomorrow for treatment again!! Did a pregnancy test before my appt and was very surprised to see a BFP. As I already have a GP appointment tomorrow for the fertility treatment referral I'm going to keep it and asks them to confirm and get the ball rolling. Couple of things coming up we are moving house in next 2 months and have got 2 weddings in next month both for close family members so that will be fun. I feel totally in shock!!

rebbles · 06/07/2017 21:45

Hi all newbies!
I finally forked out for a digital as I just couldn't believe it until I saw it written there! And yes I am!
So technically 5 weeks 5 days now.
Got my scan date for end of August!
Was hoping to wait until 12 week scan before telling family but my 20 month old DD might let the cat out of the bag. She keeps saying baby and rubbing her belly 😂
I am going to have to bring her dolly with her everywhere now so it seems she is talking about that!
Also I'm worried I'm going to show quicker this time so I don't know how I'll hide it!

rebbles · 06/07/2017 21:46

@flatwhite 10 weeks for booking in appointment is standard here too.

Flatwhite31 · 06/07/2017 21:52

That's reassuring @rebbles. I guess I'm just impatient! I'm really impressed that I got an appointment just two days after seeing my GP, and one day after doing the midwife form over the phone. Smile My brother, sister in law and 3 year old nephew arrive from abroad tomorrow. I haven't seen them since our wedding five months ago. It's going to be hard saying nothing!

Smiley1981 · 06/07/2017 22:09

A big hello and congrats to everyone Smile I got a positive test last week and have a due date of 8th March 2018. All being well, I will be a first time Mummy at the age of 36, inwardly excited but full of nerves too. We are both over the moon, if still a little stunned!

Happy to have found somewhere to chat and share, as I'm feeling a little clueless to a lot of this new stuff going on Smile

Symptom wise, just been feeling more tired than usual. Was fretting a bit at the lack of symptoms but from what I have read, everyone is different?

SheSaidHeSaid · 06/07/2017 22:19

I don't really have any symotoms other than my boobs are getting a bit sore and feel a bit more firm. I was a bit of an emotional wreck a week ago but I think that was a mix of shock, excitement, worry/stress.

Smiley1981 · 06/07/2017 22:23

So many emotions in one go!
