Thread #6 for the chatty mums due in December (or thereabouts!).

As we move into the second trimester there will be more dating scans, gender reveals and burgeoning bumps - and hopefully a reduction in nausea!

SHIT I have just been to the loo and had brown discharge.
Shit shit shit
At least the scan is today but I feel absolutely sick to my stomach

Miami81 · 07/06/2017 08:17

Lapin
Good luck for scan. I am sure discharge is nothing. Virtual hand hold here. What time is your scan?

Miami81 · 07/06/2017 08:19

@MaryShelley1818
Good luck today. We are thinking of you.

LapinR0se · 07/06/2017 08:19

My scan is at midday. I have never had any kind of discharge in my previous pregnancy or this one.
I feel less pregnant too, boobs much less sore and I have not been sick since Friday. So goddamn worried

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 07/06/2017 08:25

Good luck today @LapinR0se and @MaryShelley1818

Oysterbabe · 07/06/2017 08:26

Good luck those being scanned today. I'll be thinking of you 🤞🤞Flowers

CarlottaJo · 07/06/2017 08:47

Slept from 0530 til now, can't imagine tonight will be better with scan tomorrow, feel symptomless which is worrying me, anyone else at 12 weeks?

Love and luck to @LapinR0se and @MaryShelley1818

@Mrsbluebell17 don't worry about being on your back, at this stage it won't matter at all, and when you get big enough for it to matter you wouldn't be able to tolerate it without being sick or dizzy so your body will naturally revert to either being on your side or you'll prop yourself up to ensure you aren't flat, it's flatness not being on your back that causes the problems, big love x

Lixon · 07/06/2017 09:05

Lapin and MaryShelley I will be thinking of you both today. I've had brown bleeding in this and my last pregnancy with neither a sign of miscarriage but I know how bloody terrifying it is. Keeping everything crossed for you both xx

Carley27 · 07/06/2017 09:11

Good luck today Lapin and MaryShelley Flowers

Lapin sorry about the discharge, I know it's worrying but it does seem to very common so I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. At least your scan is today which will hopefully put your mind at ease.

Ok my nub theory predictions are:
Japan - Girl
Scots - Girl
Fox - Girl
TipTop - Boy
(Bluebell I don't see the nub in yours, although it may not be the nub I'm seeing in others either!)

Surely I will get at least one right Grin

Wishing you all the luck for some lovely, reassuring scans today @MaryShelley1818 and @LapinR0se sorry you've been having a rough time FlowersFlowers

TootsyBella84 · 07/06/2017 11:01

Good luck to all those with scans today. Thinking of you! X

Does mine have a nub? Thoughts? 😂

13 weeks today. When does 1st tri end? I hope the sickness sods off with it lol x

tootsy I assume the nub is the thin white line at the bottom? I would maybe say girl but I've no idea Grin

I'm 14(!) weeks today. I've come down with the worst snotty nose ever which is charming!
Can hardly believe I'm in the 2nd tri already - am I the only one who still feels like it's a big joke and someone's gonna come along and tell me they were kidding?!

Carley27 · 07/06/2017 11:09

Tootsy I would guess girl but I'm never entirely sure if I'm actually looking at the right bit!

I can't believe people are in the second trimester already Shock

I have had girl and boy predictions from my scan pics so far Grin would love some more opinions though..

Southy84 · 07/06/2017 11:22

Any nub guesses for me, I don't really know what I'm looking for!

Thinking of you both today lapin and maryshelley x

Southy84 · 07/06/2017 11:25

tootsy I'm going to say girl for you, only because he skull shape looks like my daughters did.

glasto going to say. Girl for you too :) I don't really have any idea but I go more on skull (based upon friends scans and mine over the years)

Carley27 · 07/06/2017 11:25

Glasto - Girl
Southy - Girl

I have guessed girl every time bar one so I think I am probably doing it wrong Grin

OP posts:
CarlottaJo · 07/06/2017 11:38

@TootsyBella84 and @glastogal girl and @Southy84 boy xx

Southy84 · 07/06/2017 11:49

I'm convinced I can see a willy on my pic!! I may be looking in the wrong place tho x

Meeshel29 · 07/06/2017 11:52

Does anyone have any advice for me? I caught my sons sickness bug so haven't ate for 24 hours (or drank) because I've been that poorly. I feel so ill, I can't even sip water without wretching. Is there anything I can take to help??😰

glastogal · 07/06/2017 11:55

Southy - I assume you know where willies are (given your current state!!) Wink

glastogal · 07/06/2017 11:58

Sounds awful @Meeshel29 - try your GP, they might be able to give you some anti-sickness pills.. if you can't keep water down though you should get looked at if it goes on too long or you might get dehydrated

Southy84 · 07/06/2017 11:58

Sounds awful meeshel :( I don't know what to suggest, can you speak to your midwife and ask her? She may have some suggestions, I think probably at least trying with fluids would be the main focus so you don't get dehydrated (I know that isn't easy though) I have heard of lucozade the original fizzy one helping to settle stomachs or flat lemonade but if you're that poorly that may not help at all. Hope you start feeling better soon

Meeshel29 · 07/06/2017 12:02

Can't get in my doctors and my midwife is only there on a Friday! About as helpful as a chocolate teapot! I worried about dehydration as I've got a bad headache and haven't weed (normally up 2 or 3 times a night!). I'll get some lucosade later (will ask my OH as the thought of going out is horrifying!😂) hopefully I pick up later on. 11 weeks tomorrow and haven't had a decent day yet 😢
