Thread #6 for the chatty mums due in December (or thereabouts!).

As we move into the second trimester there will be more dating scans, gender reveals and burgeoning bumps - and hopefully a reduction in nausea!

Mary I'm sorry about the bleeding, it is so worrying. I hope you can contact EPU and they can see you before Friday.

Peachi I'm so sorry about your rabbit.
Regards to sickness, if it feels like it's getting too much then definitely seek help. As long as you keep trying to drink. Dehydration is no fun x

glastogal · 05/06/2017 13:50

I sent you a DM about the Facebook group @TipTop333 - did you get it? (I probably did it wrong having never sent one before!!)

glastogal · 05/06/2017 13:51

We have a few dating scans cing up this week - yay!! Good luck tomorrow tootsy GrinGrin

Brens13 · 05/06/2017 13:55

Wow another new thread lol.

My recap: Brens, 32, first baby, currently 11+1 with first scan (no private ones) on 12/6. Current EDD l 24th Dec. Team yellow. Permanent resident on the worry bench due to very light symptoms and no reassurance scans. And most importantly... Scrambled eggs on toast for my lunch today Smile

TipTop333 · 05/06/2017 14:03

It will be so weird when the last person has their dating scan! I'm guessing we will then have a few quiet weeks before all the anomoly scans start!

TipTop333 · 05/06/2017 14:04

Glasto I'm sorry, just seen it now as I have to check on the mobile site rather than the app so I sometimes don't see it straight away but done it now!

tuxedocat · 05/06/2017 14:08

hi, can I join?

13+5, EDD 6th December. I'm 26 Smile

First baby! had my screening results through on Saturday and low risk so very happy.

I had a ham salad sandwich and some crisps for lunch - been very lucky to have hardly any symptoms except some beautiful acne!

MontyPants · 05/06/2017 14:12

Wow, thread 6!
I'm 27 and currently 14+2 expecting baby #1
Took us a loooong time to get pregnant, so it doesn't feel real yet, despite definitely having a little bump! 20 week scan is in the middle of July which seems like ages away but in reality it's only about 6 weeks. Will find out sex but I think I'm having a boy.

MontyPants · 05/06/2017 14:15

Also thought I'd share my shame with you all. I woke up at 7am today but decided to go back to sleep for an hour or so... woke up at 1:45pm! 😳 I'm supposed to be meeting a group of friends at 2:30. Pregnancy exhaustion is kicking my ass!

LapinR0se · 05/06/2017 14:29

@brens we are EDD twins Smile

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 05/06/2017 14:36

Great news on the screening results @glastogal and @tuxedocat ! 😄

Carley27 · 05/06/2017 14:40

Monty that is an impressive nap Shock Grin I also think I'm having a boy, hoping to find out around 16 weeks as my hospital won't tell at the 20 week scan unfortunately!

Great news on the screening results tuxedo & glasto

Thinking of you MaryShelley, hope you're ok.

Carley why won't the hospital tell you? That seems really strange.

CarlottaJo · 05/06/2017 15:24

I also think I'm having a boy!

Carley27 · 05/06/2017 15:35

Monty hospital policy Hmm when I went for my early scan I noticed a sign saying that they won't disclose the gender and basically saying not to ask. MW confirmed at my booking appointment. Annoying but an excuse for another scan I guess!

Carley that's bizarre. I'm sure most people don't care if it's a boy or a girl, but personally I want to know so I can name the baby and feel closer to him/her (but I'm sure it's a him). At least you can have a private scan soon! Very exciting.
Will this just be a thread of baby boys???

Bisquick · 05/06/2017 15:40

Hello! Just marking my spot on the new thread. I'm 33, this will hopefully be our first baby after a stillbirth in January. I'm 11weeks and a bit along, and still quite nauseous. Have been flaking out on work for the past month having just gone back. Need to get cracking; really hoping the nausea eases soon. EDD 22 Dec but will probably be late November in all likelihood.
Waiting for the results of the SAFE test this week so firmly on the anxiety bench!

Miami81 · 05/06/2017 15:51

Just checking into new thread as well. I am 35 turning 36 in a few weeks, this will be our first baby after 2 mc's at 8 weeks last year. I have been scanned three times so far and it turns out that I have a heart shaped uterus and the half with no baby in it is being an utter knob about the whole thing and keeps bleeding.
I am 10+6 today and dating scan is on the 13th. Last scan was at 9+2 so feels like ages ago and I am so worried that things won't work out. I have been bleeding all this week, but the left stupid side did have a hematoma in it and the epu think the bleeding I am experiencing (which isn't dramatic if that makes sense) is just that. We shall see!
I think I am having a girl, not sure why. Will find out at 20 wks.
Symptoms could be described as sporadic to almost non-existent. Went bra shopping yesterday and nipples are definitely darker, which never happened before. Also headaches (which I appear to get instead of ms), and occasional queasiness when I have to decide what to eat. I cannot wait to get out of this head melt that is the first trimester.
edd is 25th December. I have an appointment with preterm clinic in early July though as a complication of stupid uterus can be baby runs out of room!! So I could be around 36/37 weeks so closer to the start of December.

Brens13 · 05/06/2017 15:55

@LapinR0se Yeay! Have you had a scan yet? I've a pretty regular cycle so unless implantation was particularly slow or fast I don't think it'll be moved that much when the scan on Monday.

ChocolateRaisin · 05/06/2017 15:59

Hi all, I was on here a few threads back and have been lurking since then.

I'm 32 and 13+2 with first baby EDD 9/12/17. I had my dating scan on Friday and all looked good and exactly right for my dates. I had a MMC last year, so that was a huge relief.

I should find out today if my tests are low risk. I am for some reason very anxious about the result, I mentioned this to the maternity assistant at the hospital last week and she kindly said that she would call or text if I have a low risk result, so that I don't have to wait until the end of the week for my letter. If the results aren't low risk then a midwife will call me either today or tomorrow. In my head I know the risk is very very low, I just can't stop worrying about it. She said she would call between 4-5pm, so I should have good news in the next hour hopefully.

I'm still being sick every morning but the horrendous sickness and nausea I was suffering with disappeared at about 10 weeks luckily! It's now just fatigue to deal with!!

CarlottaJo · 05/06/2017 16:00

@Brens13 I'm like clockwork and my last scan at 9+5 put me at 10+3 not even sure how that is possible, very intrigued to see what official dating scan says!

Carley27 · 05/06/2017 16:10

We don't mind if it's boy/girl either Monty but like you I want to know to know to bond with baby and decide on names. I assumed it was in case they got it wrong and people tried to sue etc. but it seems they tell you in most areas so who knows!

Hope your nausea eases off soon Bisquick!

Fingers crossed for good news chocolate, sure it will be fine!

Oysterbabe · 05/06/2017 16:18

If I could pick the sex I'd probably choose another girl. I loved having a sister close in age growing up and would like that for DD, plus we wouldn't need to buy anything :)
DH would definitely prefer a boy. We'll both be very happy whatever we get. We'll find out at the birth!

Zaberwocky · 05/06/2017 16:29

Right ... honestly... am I being a total arse?

All people are doing is texting me and ringing me asking about bump, sending me pictures of baby things, name suggestions, etc. It's doing my head in. I may just be being grumpy.

Ugh. People are too bloody nice. I should appreciate it I guess. At least my MIL and SIL aren't talking to me Grin

fishfingerSarnies · 05/06/2017 16:39

Fish here I was on the first few threads but fell off.
I'm 11 weeks with dc 3.
No private scans and still over a week to wait for NHS one. Feeling nervous as had an early miscarriage in march.
Nausea has been bad but not been that sick especially considering I was terribly sick and on medication when pregnant with my son.
We won't be finding out what we are having this time as we have one of each, though I definitely would rather have another gir!

The tiredness is killing me I'm barely functioning my house is a fucking mess and my kids are living on quick cook food that doesn't smell!

Good luck with scans everyone.
