Thread #6 for the chatty mums due in December (or thereabouts!).

As we move into the second trimester there will be more dating scans, gender reveals and burgeoning bumps - and hopefully a reduction in nausea!

Grin HR!? You're kidding right? It's what I was originally recruited for, yet ended up in a records department!

Oh go on Wink lead the uprising. You know you want to!

LapinR0se · 06/06/2017 08:54

Hatchling I am also very dizzy, feels like someone is pressing on my head when I stand up. Having blood tests tomorrow so we'll see what my iron levels are like. My blood pressure dropped right down in my last pregnancy too so might be that again
High five from another IVF buddy Smile

MaryShelley1818 · 06/06/2017 08:55

Morning, no new bleeding this morning but I've rang the midwife and she's managed to get me a scan appointment for tomorrow at 12.20pm. Fingers crossed everything is ok and I'm just neurotic.

LapinR0se · 06/06/2017 09:00

Everything crossed for you Mary, I have my scan at 12 tomorrow too.

CarlottaJo · 06/06/2017 09:09

Glad you've got sorted @MaryShelley1818, good luck tomorrow, and you @LapinR0se

Peachi82 · 06/06/2017 09:10

So glad you can have an early scan, Mary!

I'm definitely on the worry bench today. It's just my thoughts running in circles again that there is no baby, no heartbeat, no nothing. The likelihood that everything is absolutely fine doesn't even have space in my thoughts. One week to go until the scan. Ommmmmmh.

CarlottaJo · 06/06/2017 09:12

@Peachi82 I'm the same, let's cuddle!

Brens13 · 06/06/2017 09:12

Haha maybe I will zaber when I'm about to leave 😂

Great news mary and good luck the ladies with scans today.

Carley27 · 06/06/2017 09:21

So glad you got a scan arranged MaryShelley, fingers crossed for you.

Bet you can't wait to escape from there zaber! Right choice in phoning in I think!

Glad you're getting seen Mary, everything crossed for you.

Zaberwocky · 06/06/2017 09:42

Mary I am so glad you've got an earlier scan, I know it's just a couple of days, but all you need to do is get through today! We're all here for you all the way :)

Carley YES! I have never regretted anything as much as taking my current job. I'm slightly scared of starting the new one, I haven't actually worked in HR for just over a year, I'm scared I'll be completely inept!

Peachi and Carlotta I think that's totally normal, as in worrying about it. I'm not sure if you ever stop worrying to be honest!

Lapin and Hatch a day sitting on the sofa for both of you then! Can't risk you dizzy two toppling over!

Thewinedidit · 06/06/2017 10:04

Hello I've found you all again!
EDD 24/12 (hello EDD pals!) with baby 2. Next scan in 8 days, scanned at 8 weeks due to bleeding and dated exactly as I thought at that point.

Have bee lurking for a while. Your chat has been amazing at making me feel like I'm not alone in this tricky first trimester. Starting to feel more like a human now so thoroughly excited for trimester 2 where we will all be glowing (hopefully Smile).

biginjapan · 06/06/2017 10:07

Hi everyone - just checking in. 12+5 with dc4 (3ds). Had my 5th Blush scan yesterday - the NHS dating scan. Was easily the best and most thorough so far - lovely sonographer.

Not finding out what we are having but asked about the nub on ingender and have had 5 "girls". Honestly don't think I'm capable after 3 boys... would be lovely though.

Waiting for harmony results this week but sonographer noted a thin Nuchal and nasal bone yesterday.

Here are my pics - anyone any good at nubs?

Maryshelly thinking of you and keeping everything crossed.

Hi everyone

This is baby number 4 for me very much of a surprise 😊

I have a 11 year old, 10 year old and 5 year old

13 weeks, EDD - Due 12th December.

I had an early scan measuring 9+4 and have 12 week scan on Thursday, feeling quite excited.

Pregnancy so far has been good except extreme tiredness, can't get through the day without a nap haha.

Carley27 · 06/06/2017 11:47

Lovely scan Japan! I would guess girl based on nub theory (but I only read about it the other day so I could be doing it completely wrong Grin)

Hi becky - good luck for Thurs!

Good scan @biginjapan 😄

@Peachi82 & @CarlottaJo Worrying too, so much so I've booked an assurance scan for this Thursday evening so we can check everything's ok before telling the SC this weekend!

Bit of a moan. I know it's a bit trivial in comparison to other worries out there, but just really need to vent! Just called the private clinic to check on my Panorama results and they're now saying it could be back as late as end of next week (was told they would be back by the end of this week when I was deciding between Panorama and Harmony, which does take less time). Beyond frustrated! I really wanted both the assurance of the DNA test results as well as gender before telling the SC. My stress is that, if we don't tell the SC this weekend, we have to wait a whole 4 weeks before we'll have the right opportunity to tell them and by then my bump is bound to be unhideable and therefore it will look very much like we've been hiding this and lying to them for ages. 😞

Peachi82 · 06/06/2017 14:15

New pregnancy symptom: numb bum from sitting on my chair in the office... Hmm

tuxedocat · 06/06/2017 14:15

Lovely scan japan

biker try not to worry. We've still got a few days left this week so fingers crossed the results turn up sooner rather than later. How old are your SC? Is there a way you could tell them (post a scratch card or something) and Skype or FaceTime if you can't tell them face to face?

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 06/06/2017 14:22

One's a pre-teen and the other's still in primary school. We definitely wouldn't tell them any way other than face-to-face. Already a very delicate situation given they don't live with us FT.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 06/06/2017 14:34

Ok, just got a call back from the sonographer and she's put a request in to the lab to see if we can bump the queue a little. No guarantees but at least that's more positive than the call I had with the receptionist this morning where it was basically "no no no"!

MaryShelley1818 · 06/06/2017 14:35

Brown discharge is getting heavier...I've rang the hospital sobbing hysterically and begged to be seen today but they just said they're sorry but there's no way I can be seen before tomorrow and just to wear a pad if it turns red/gets heavier.
I feel like I can't breathe.
DP looks utterly broken and is also crying. We've even rang around private ultrasounds and there's no appointments available today.
Is brown discharge how miscarriage starts??

CarlottaJo · 06/06/2017 14:41

Oh @MaryShelley1818 sending you so much love (which I know isn't any help) I think brown discharge can be normal but can understand the need to get this confirmed and I'm so sad you can't get seen, would it change if you went to A&E? Do you have any pain at all? X

MaryShelley1818 · 06/06/2017 14:43

I could go to A&E but like on Sunday they still wouldn't offer me a scan. A little bit of mild cramping but have IBS too so that's relatively normal. I'm just hysterical.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 06/06/2017 14:48

Sending good energy and keeping everything crossed for you @MaryShelley1818. I was told that brown discharge, as long as it's not accompanied by doubling-over pain and/or soaking through pads, is generally nothing to worry about and I really hope they give you that reassurance tomorrow with the scan.

CarlottaJo · 06/06/2017 14:50

What about your mw? Maybe she could ring a department direct and ask? Worth a try? I'm so sorry you are going through this, I'm keeping everything crossed it's just normal pregnancy spotting and your little bean is just perfect. Wish I could give you a hug x
