December 2017 babies #6 - dating scans, gender reveals, the beginning of bumps & the 2nd trimester!

Thread #6 for the chatty mums due in December (or thereabouts!).

As we move into the second trimester there will be more dating scans, gender reveals and burgeoning bumps - and hopefully a reduction in nausea!

Managed to sleep from 6.30 to now. It's just so hot. May need to invest in a fan!! Or something. Anyone with any solutions?
Congrats on the gender reveals guys. There does seem to be loads of boys. From our scan skull shape I think boy too. Although I was convinced of girl before scan!!! DH thinks boy too after scan. We will find out probably at 20 weeks unless combined results come back with a number we want to pursue with nipt.

Same carlotta in my defence we've been off work together for 2 weeks so haven't really had a chance to be sneaky. I did plan to tho.

No, I told him yesterday he would have to wait until the kids arrives I did wish him a happy father's day this morning but I don't think he is bothered until he can actually have a day of cuddles

His dad is coming over though and I have set them a father-son bonding task.. they are going to wall mount the new TV while I catch some rays with his mum

Hi guys, sorry I haven't been talking much as we are away so just done some stalking.

So I did do a little something for dh. I got him our first baby grow that said 'my daddy has a beard' with a beard face on it. There seems to be a theme here I know, ha!! Anyways he loved it and was a nice memory to have.

Glad I'm not the only one feeling flutters monty! It's really nice and reassuring, and can't wait for them to get stronger and more defined - I love this bit of pregnancy. It's almost enough to forget the horrors of the sickness and exhaustion of the first trimester (but only almost!)

In my previous pregnancies bluebell I found milk helped with the heartburn, so your nighttime milk could be helping to keep your tummy full and keep the heartburn at bay. Keep at it, I say!

I also forgot to do something for DH for Father's Day. And I haven't seen my dad because he's away on a course doing some qualification or other (he's incredibly academic and I am not at all). And we have a strange relationship with FIL so I'll not be contacting him! Pretty normal day for me then...

I thought it was a cute idea since we are beard mad and my husband is called beard. This is the company I went with that had great service and quality of baby grow is amazing. Also just to see how everyone is getting on on putting on weight. So I'm 15 + 1 weeks and I've put on about 5 kilos already. Am I going to get shit next week at my 16 week appointment? The worst is I've bloody worked out as much as I can but it's not stopped me becoming a heffer it seems although dh is convinced it's muscle. I'm thinking it's cake! Eek. Damn you all inclusive buffet!!!

Last time I didn't get weighed again after my booking appointment. I wouldn't worry.

I bought DH a card and present from DH but nothing from the new one. I wouldn't say we're superstitious, more not wanting to count our chickens. We conceived our last one in Barbados on honeymoon and I remember a local explaining to us that they never make plans without also saying something like "god willing" or "if the Lord wills it" just because they wouldn't want to be presumptuous about his plan for them. We're not religious AT ALL but started saying it while we we're away as a bit of a joke "I'm going to get a pinacolada, I'll meet you by the pool, god willing" Then when we found out I was pregnant we started doing for anything relating to the baby, "we'll buy the pram after the 30 week appointment, god willing" And that's sort of carried over into this pregnancy too. Yeah I am a bit nuts

Angielka ah that's good to know, funnily enough I don't think I had a milk on the night I felt like that? So maybe that's it. I'll keep on the milk!

We got so much stuff from SIL yesterday and spent this afternoon sorting through it. We also got a cheap changing table on eBay and that is now in our spare room. I didn't intend on buying things like that this early but when there's a bargain to be had......

Already wondering how I'm going to get to sleep tonight in this heat like Miami I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions, they would be most welcome...?

I've stayed the same weight wise but I've got plenty of pre existing extra padding so harder for me to gain, and although my eating hasn't been wonderful I haven't been up to my usual man vs. food ways

I think my sleep is doomed as I've just had a good hour on the sofa post a day in the sun, woke up all a bit confused! X

I am defintitly craving dairy as well. MOzarella cheese and runny eggs - not together. But actually that is now sounding pretty nice!

I moved onto semi skimmed milk from skimmed when we were TTC, i couldn't go the whole hog to full fat either, too sickly.

The heat is getting to me this weekend, i was too hot to eat dinner yesterday and this morning i threw up for the fist time all pregnancy (at 14+5!) and it was so acidy i am convinced i now need to eat more!! that;s my excuse anyway.
Also just ordered 2 bottles of magicool from amazon to spray all over me at work this week!

I tend to find I just can't put my finger on what I want to eat, we were at a food festival by the sea today and there was so much delicious food but just couldn't put my finger on what I wanted, ended up with katsu curry which my OH got most of. I did have a snowcone though which was an icy sugary delight! Saw a few pregnant women with them! X

Had a shower, and finished off with it cold and now have got wet hair in bed, which i never do - all just to try and keep me cool!

Set to be another scorcher today! I'm meeting a couple of my NCT friends in a beer garden. Oh how I'd love a beer...

I put my scan photo on ingender and got 5 boy guesses. I won't tell DH, don't want to get his hopes up!

I'm having a chilled one today after working like a dog yesterday hosting the in-laws.. just gonna collect stuff together for Glastonbury and start the packing process.

No we're not finding out, tempting as it is!

IS anyone else struggling with gas: not up and down? I've never been a burper but they keep sneaking out. Now feeling the need to fart more too. Is it diet or another wonderful symptom?
