Thread #6 for the chatty mums due in December (or thereabouts!).

As we move into the second trimester there will be more dating scans, gender reveals and burgeoning bumps - and hopefully a reduction in nausea!

Biker understandable that you're worried but baby is well protected so I'm sure things are fine. Perhaps worth speaking to your MW to see if they will do a scan to put your mind at ease?

Scots sorry to hear about the fainting - I've fainted once (not while pregnant) and it's a horrible feeling. Hope the holiday has been good other than that!

Morning All! I survived my nights and slept like a log last night! Now to get up and have breakfast. Answers on a postcard please A) Granola, yoghurt and fruit or B) Scrambled egg on toast xxx

@dirtygrubbybikerchick hope you are ok, I think LB will be well protected in his little bubble, if the worrying gets too much definitely ring the mw for some reassurance, it's worth it for piece of mind x

They are very well protected in there, I'm sure you'll be fine.

I'm on the anxious bench hoping my phone doesn't ring with screening results. If I get to Thursday with no call I'm in the clear and I'll tell work. It's getting pretty hard to hide and I'm also fed up of hiding it!

Oh god me too, with mixed results. It hasn't reassured me very much tbh.

Same @Oysterbabe but we must be reassured by the fact that the professionals doing our scans weren't concerned and the fact that the measurement in isolation means nothing, it's a combined screening test so without the bloods it's merely a number. Both of our readings were within normal limits so we have to try and stay positive (this is playing in my head on repeat!) xx

Biker I'm sure the LO is very well cushioned in there - your SS jumping on you wouldn't have had any effect on the baby.
12 week scan tomorrow at 12+4. Hopping onto the anxiety bench for now. waves to everyone else here already.
Nausea was easing off, but threw up this morning again. Now craving a burrito, and wondering if my office mate will think I'm strange if I nip out for one at 11:50. Maybe I should wait till noon.

Biker they're really well cushioned at this stage! I bet you'll have a bloody massive bruise though!

I DO think, call your MW for advice there is no sense sitting on the worry bench if you don't have to. When's you next scan?

DH is making enchiladas tonight, I am stupidly excited about this.

I went for coco pops and threw them up heading into town for lunch with a work friend, feeling a bit wobbly!

I took a ham and tomato sandwich with me for lunch.. it's just not going to cut it is it

From what I read Carlotta most people who are high risk got the call on the second working day after the scan, which I think is today for you and tomorrow for me. FX our phones stay blissfully silent.

@Oysterbabe yes I think the same, I work really close to the dept and have an appt tomorrow so asked if I could maybe get results then since am in and the lady suggested I might have been able to get them today if I was in (I'm not) so hoping I get through the next few hours hearing nothing xxx

Oh your a busy bunch, I have been consumed with giggling at the AIBU threads that I lost my way back to the ante natal groups section (watch list on phone is crap at best for me!). Haven't been around since thread 3 I think!

Had my scan, due date shifted back a week to the 13th of December but all was well. Boobs are still endlessly growing and considering I started in an F cup I dread to think when they're going to end...

No noticeable bump but my work clothes are getting uncomfortable so time to go shopping shortly I think! Lovely to see everyone elses scan pics too now, starting to feel more real but I still find it crazy that I have a little wriggling lump the size of a kiwi fruit inside me and I can't feel a thing haha

I had an overwhelming desire for houmous but failed to take my purse to asda this morning (cue lots of embarrassment when I had to give back a £50 trolley!), then I went to Lidl and they don't sell chickpeas and eventually I found some in coop. But I added too much water and my hoous ended up sloppy It was still good but I've been a bit of a calamity-Jane so far today!!

Waiting for my scan.... Half an hour until my appointment.... Nervous wreck! Can't find the worry bench in the waiting room.... 😜

Baby Brens 😊 in between hiccups 😂 was so cute bouncing around every time they hicced. Then started drinking and we could see their little tongue. So relieved after not believing anything was there, I can now just be grateful for lack of sickness!

Scans all good, been put forward to 12w6d so due date now 19th dec.

Well I had my NHS scan today and MW appointment and I feel so much better now, they explained everything to me and told me what to expect over the next few months, got a great scan photo too!
