Thread #6 for the chatty mums due in December (or thereabouts!).

As we move into the second trimester there will be more dating scans, gender reveals and burgeoning bumps - and hopefully a reduction in nausea!

@ScotsLamb Definitely! If it wasn't the nausea it was exhaustion from feeling nauseous all day. Even now I still get queasy late afternoons / evenings, so really the only chance we have is in the middle of the day if we're both around!

CarlottaJo · 10/06/2017 00:16

@ScotsLamb YES! We have zero sex life at the moment and haven't since we found out, it's the longest we have ever been! I don't know, I just haven't felt like it at all x

Mrsbluebell17 · 10/06/2017 00:48

Hi everyone. Sorry for the delayed messages. It was my birthday yesterday (Friday) so we've been away celebrating. Just getting to bed now which is so late for me.

Biker yeah we're going to find out. Private scan on 8th July and NHS scan on 25th.

Glad you got an answer lapin. Rest up!

Hope you got some sleep Carlotta.

Mary* Glad all went ok with the scan.

Hope everyone else is ok!

BIsquick · 10/06/2017 01:14

I replied to Lixon when I meant Scotslamb didn't I! Preggybrain!

Bisquick · 10/06/2017 01:14

Happy birthday bluebell Cake

Miami81 · 10/06/2017 03:04

@ScotsLamb and others on intimacy chat. So glad you said that as have been feeling like a freak. I have zero interest in the intimacies, between bleeding, bloating and cramps it's just not happening.
Hoping the second trimester gets better. Have a feeling I will be put on 'pelvic rest' due to all the bleeding and weirdness when I see the consultant though.

Mrsbluebell17 · 10/06/2017 03:19

Thanks Bisquick. Smile

Chamonix1 · 10/06/2017 07:37

Morning all. Just got back from a week away in Ibiza. Was so good to sleep in my own bed last night and SO looking forward to some food I can actually eat.
My sisters dad (not my own dad) died whilst I was away so have a lot of things to help people with now. It wasn't handled very well by a&e when he was taken in and they are all very distressed and there's a post-mortem and all sorts of complaints being made. I wish I could just fly back out and hide! Hey ho!
Haven't had a chance to read through the old thread, I hope you are all getting on well and starting to feel better.
15.1 weeks today and mostly been nausea free with new symptoms appearing (bad back, uncomfortable sleeping, swollen hands all the fun stuff)
Grin

Brens13 · 10/06/2017 07:41

Sorry for your loss chamonix and for all the added stress. Flowers

Happy birthday MrsB hope you had a great day 🎂

ScotsLamb · 10/06/2017 08:00

Happy Birthday Bluebell. Hope you have a lovely birthday weekend.

We had the best sex ever before finding out we were pregnant and only once in the last 9 weeks... Hoping Paris changes that as we will be less tired and more relaxed. Don't think we will be out of bed before 10am. OH is a farmer so only gets long lies when we go away. Louvre and Eiffel Tower today. Let's see if nausea disappears so I can have pastries for breakfast.

ScotsLamb · 10/06/2017 08:02

Chamonix it's never easy being just on the outskirts of funeral organisation especially if it was a traumatic death. Hope everything works out.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 10/06/2017 08:19

Happy birthday @Mrsbluebell17 ! Hope you have a spoiler weekend ahead 😄

@Chamonix1 Sorry for your loss. Hope your family gets the answers and closure they need.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 10/06/2017 08:19

*spoiley, not spoiler

MaryShelley1818 · 10/06/2017 09:40

Sorry for your loss Chamonix 💐Xx

Happy Birthday MrsBluebell!! 🎂 Xx

Jealous of all you people having holidays, I'd love a few days of sunshine.

Well me and DP were carrying on as usual with intimacy, think we'd only not had sex 2-3 days since we've known I was pregnant, but that's normal for us. Having the bleed on Sunday scared us though and we haven't done it since which is the longest we've ever gone without 🙈

Lixon · 10/06/2017 09:46

So sorry for your loss Chamonix, that sounds so traumatic - thinking of your sister and you. I hope you had a bit of relaxation/sleep around the stress st least x

Happy birthday mrsbluebell! Glad you had a lovely day celebrating..

It's fine Bisquick - we're completely off intimacy too! Smile I was told anecdotally to avoid sex in first 12 weeks due to miscarriage risk which I'm sure is rubbish but it put me off, combined with exhaustion and living at my parents'. Hoping things might get better at weekends in the second trimester too.

Optimistically signed up for a 12 week yogalates class starting in week 15 so hoping I've got some energy back by then! After a few weeks of sleeping a bit better, I've been up since 3 or 4 for the last 4 nights 😐

ScotsLamb · 10/06/2017 11:41

Just fainted in the queue for the Louvre. Anyone else fainting?

Bisquick · 10/06/2017 12:16

Sorry to hear about your loss Chamonix, hope your sister and family are coping okay!

scotslamb oh dear! Poor thing! Are you feeling a bit better now? I've read that you can expect dizziness week 12 onwards. :(

After all the intimacy chat last evening I woke DH up at 2 am and jumped him. Wink

ScotsLamb · 10/06/2017 12:36

Now spending today on the open top bus with lots of liquids and sugary sweets. I'm still feeling queasy but not light headed. I felt fine up until a minute before it happened. I had even eaten a pain au chocolat and slice of pizza as well as guzzling a can of full sugar Fanta.
I've never fainted before and it's not how I imagined it would be. Hoping it doesn't happen again. Even just got my other halfs sake. He looked properly worried.

Brens13 · 10/06/2017 12:45

Haha bisquick love it! Lucky DH 😜

Scots hope you're feeling better. I've never fainted either but am defo getting a few dizzy spells now. Have another pain au chocolat!

Lixon · 10/06/2017 17:50

Oh ScotsLamb you poor thing, did you get to the front of the queue at least for that? Scary that it happened after eating/drinking, is it very hot there?

Haha, excellent Bisquick, you're an inspiration to us all!!

Ive just eaten a massive afternoon tea and feel quite sick and have had to unbutton my jeans for the tube ride home!!

CarlottaJo · 10/06/2017 17:52

Hope you feel better @ScotsLamb and goooooo @Bisquick

I'm heading to my last night shift, seriously missing my trusty sleeping pills and caffeine! Already fantasising about bed in the morning, 14 hours to go!

ScotsLamb · 10/06/2017 18:04

Lixon my OHkind of dragged me out of the queue to beside the fountain to sit down then gave me Fanta. We joined a much smaller queue later on. It is about 27 degrees. I'm used to 9 living in chilly Scotland. Had a Macdonald's to recover tonight and now feeling much better. Trying to drink my body weight in water and eat lots of ready salted crisps 😊

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 10/06/2017 21:39

SC were amazing today ☺️ SS is particularly excited to have a baby brother to play with and follow his lead. SD had some mixed emotions, which she explained as happy tears and excitement but disappointment as she wanted a sister 😂 Time will tell, and I'm sure they will go through a heap of ups and downs over the next few months as they process all of this (and unfortunately their mum won't help much in that), but we will take each day as it comes. For now, I'm just glad that this weekend went as well as could be expected! 😅

Lolabee · 10/06/2017 22:36

Oops haven't been keeping up with the thread.....

Had scan on 1st June and combined bloods came through the post the week with really low risks so v happy with that. Due date is 14th December now. Scan pic looks a lil strange as bean is holding it's arms in front of it's face.
Downside of appt was I am under consultant care for a while because although this pg is low risk my daughter was a small baby so growth has to be monitored. Still hoping to be discharged back to mlu though!

How's everyone feeling?

Mrsbluebell17 · 11/06/2017 07:19

Thanks for all the birthday love! Smile sorry I didn't reply again yesterday. It's been a busy few days!

Sorry to hear of your sad loss in the family chamonix.
*
Scots* also sorry to hear you fainted. I nearly did last weekend but managed to sit down just in time and avoid it. But it was horrible in the less. I hope you're ok?

Lovely scan Lola. I'm feeling ok at the moment to be honest. Just tired still but not as bad as I have been. Have a fun packed weekend with DH, family and friends so think I'm pre occupied anyway. I'm 14+1 now.
We went to some live music last night and I was jumping around everywhere, with energy I didn't know I had! Then panicked that I shouldn't be jumping around but figured you can run whilst pregnant so this should be ok! Hmm really hope so.
