December 2017 babies #6 - dating scans, gender reveals, the beginning of bumps & the 2nd trimester!

Thread #6 for the chatty mums due in December (or thereabouts!).

As we move into the second trimester there will be more dating scans, gender reveals and burgeoning bumps - and hopefully a reduction in nausea!

DH has been called in to work all weekend at the last minute, so it's just me on my own! Not really sure what I'll do, I'll be without the car, so pretty much stuck at home.

I always thought I would be team yellow, but DP wants to know, and I find myself intensely curious now I'm finally pregnant!! We have decided to keep the sex of Bug to ourselves.. will be nice to have it be information just for us

I'm so so so sure ours is a boy I almost feel like I know!

@glastogal will we know?!

I've just eaten enough sugar to almost certainly develop gestational diabetes and now I feel really guilty!

All is good at scan! Very very bouncy and wriggly baby! Official due date 15th December 😊 Xx

I feel like mine is a girl, the scan looks the same as DD's.

TBH I don't want to think about any of it too much until I get the screening results back. The higher NT score is worrying me a bit.

Carlotta I'm in McDonalds about to consume my own body weight as I haven't eaten properly all week with the worry! A one off won't hurt x

We've still not had the second email with Gender on so I'm thinking it'll be next week.
I really feel like it'll be a little boy though!

Mine was 2.5 at 12+5. I know it's in the range of normal but DD was 1.5 at 12+2.
I'll have a heart attack if anyone phones me.

Mine was between 2.4 and 2.77 (she rounded it up to 2.8) at 13.1........when was your scan? I hunted down some sonographer friends and asked them (frantically interrogated) them and they absolutely assured me not to worry. Hopefully our little fleshier necked beans are just going to be lovely and cuddly, I think even most at 3.5 turn out to be totally normal, I read 9/10 xx

Scan was this morning and she said assume low risk if no call by Thursday I am trying to just be happy as she said it looked perfect, just that niggling doubt.

Feels so weird that some of you already know what you're having and I haven't even seen my baby for the first time yet! 😂 Anxiety rising before first ever scan on monday. Thankfully have a busy weekend so hopefully time will go quickly.

We had a harmony test this time round having avoided if previously. I had a TFMR following an Edwards diagnosis in February so getting more certainty around the trisomies asap was really helpful for my anxiety (still a mess obviously though 😃), And the NHS basically refused to do blood tests as id only have come back high risk so CVS was the only other option. Knowing gender already is definitely a nice bonus though 🙂

I've slowly started telling people at work. Work in quite a big gossipy group so have only told a few people for now, will gradually widen over next few weeks until I'm unavoidably showing (just look quite fat for now, although my old secretary said she'd guessed already!)

We are planning to stay team yellow. I'm hoping I'm strong enough. I do love a surprise really!
Arrived in Paris and at 9pm headed back to the hotel for bed, much to the OH delight. Not sure he realises I just want to sleep. Anyone else struggling with intimacy when feeling nauseas all the time?

First scan on Tuesday... I just want to know everything is ok after having a chemical pregnancy in march, and having had two healthy kids I keep thinking that maybe we are pushing our luck and something bad is going to happen.

Heartburn and wretching is the way my evening has been spent feel like crap and dh is away so I will be dealing with early waking toddler so should be sleeping really but can't.

Congrats everyone with scans and results back.

I've come home early from work again. I feel absolutely knackered and dizzy. Supposed to be in until midnight. Had to pop to Tesco on the way home and had a meltdown because I had to use the self service till. I am so emotional and run down. I have decided I must be having a vampire baby who sucks up all my blood/food/energy etc

Lixon I know what you mean. This is probably the longest DH and I have gone without any intimacy - nausea has made me forget what sexy feels like! Another reason I'm hoping it eases soon! 12 weeks in the morning! Woot woot
