Thread #6 for the chatty mums due in December (or thereabouts!).

As we move into the second trimester there will be more dating scans, gender reveals and burgeoning bumps - and hopefully a reduction in nausea!

How stressful Lapin. FX all is fine.

Scan day for me and anxiety in overdrive.

Zaberwocky · 09/06/2017 07:55

Well ladies.

Already been in, collected mug, and left. I have no intention of speaking to any of those complete and utter twunts ever again in my life. No intention of depressing myself on this lovely Friday! I don't even plan to bother to call in in, it'll be my final gift to them - something to bitch and moan about.

I've got one teeny tweak to make to one of my final assignments, resubmit then I can do whatever I like today. DH should be home at 13:00 too, so we may actually get to see each other this week Grin

I hope you all have a lovely Friday, I can see tiny patches of blue sky already!

TipTop333 · 09/06/2017 08:04

Morning everyone.

Lapin I hope they get back to you. I can understand why you would be worried despite the positive scan the other day. I hope they fit you in today and I have everything crossed.

Zaber congratulations! You did it! It's over!

I have my bloods screening today to make up for the failed combined test at the scan (couldn't do nuchal measurement) and I'm starting to get nervous. Has anyone had this? Do you know how long results take?

LapinR0se · 09/06/2017 08:26

I am going in at 11

Brens13 · 09/06/2017 08:27

Yeay zaber I love the feeling of leaving a job you hate. Enjoy it!

Hope everyone's scans, test, results go well today.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 09/06/2017 08:29

Oh @LapinR0se - so stressful. Hopefully it's still just a bit of harmless spotting. One of the docs I saw told me that fresh blood only takes a few hours to turn brown, so if it's not very heavy then red isn't necessarily indicative of something worse than the brown, just that it hadn't turned brown yet before coming out. Hope you hear back soon. Keeping fingers crossed for you 🤞

Good luck today @Oysterbabe and @TipTop333

Well done for getting here @Zaberwocky! Onwards and upwards now 😄

@glastogal I know, right? So awe-inspiring! 🖐

@Mrsbluebell17 ooooooo when do you find out (will you)?

Zaberwocky · 09/06/2017 08:31

Thanks Tip Grin honestly, I've never been so relieved in my life. It's been the worst four months of my life. I'm delighted to be out of there. Learnt my lesson for sure, I need to ignore all career advice DH offers Grin

Lapin please push to get seen today. I'd hate to think of you worrying over the weekend, is it painful at all?

Zaberwocky · 09/06/2017 08:33

Brens the thing is I've never hated a job! I've always been so lucky to work in fantastic environments, with great people, doing something I love! Until THIS job...

Hating a job has been such an odd feeling!

I'm just so excited to get everything back on track, even if it just is for the next five months.

Carley27 · 09/06/2017 09:12

Congratulations Bisquick! Our first team pink Grin
So sorry to hear about your loss in January. Of course your little boy will never be replaced but your baby girl will bring you so much joy and you'll always love both your babies Flowers

Lovely scan Biker, good luck with telling the SC!

Great news on the screening results Bluebell!

Woohoo zaber, enjoy your freedom Grin

Thinking of you Lapin, have everything crossed for you Flowers

Lixon · 09/06/2017 09:32

Oh Lapin, you poor thing. good luck at 11. And good luck oysterbabe and TipTop today with your scan/screening too. At my hospital they say 2 weeks if all is ok for results but seems post people have heard a bit earlier here?

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I am bloody exhausted at the moment and obviously pregnancy hormones make everything worse but I am pretty resilient/robust as far as pregnant women with anxiety go so I hope she was just having a bad day/isn't normally such a cow.. I have a MH referral to see a psychiatrist at work privately plus the NHS referral I now should get so hopefully I'm covered but I might mention it to the screening midwives when I see them next.

Have s lovely time in Paris scotslamb!! Hopefully you can find all those glamorous maternity clothes!

Biker, I'm very happy for you getting to tell the SC as hoped - fingers crossed all goes well- and what a lovely scan!!

Mrsbluebell great news in your screening results, congratulations!

I think people may have been added now but I'm also in the still secret Facebook group and can add anyone who messages me their email address 🙂

tuxedocat · 09/06/2017 09:35

lapin hope the discharge is nothing Smile

Woke up feeling super crampy today Sad I know it's mostly ligament pain as it's all around the front and higher than I've had before but it still feels pretty crappy. Has anyone else suffered with RL pain? I'm petite usually a 6/8 so not sure if that would make a difference to stretching

mamalovesviolet · 09/06/2017 09:43

Lapin hope you get seen today. Bleeding from low lying placentas super common. My bleeds were later on but scary and stressful. Hand holding x

LapinR0se · 09/06/2017 10:25

Saw doc straight away there is a haematoma under the placenta that is bleeding. So all explained but he has put me on bed rest for a week!

Miami81 · 09/06/2017 10:27

Good luck all with scans and results etc.
Just on bleeding and to try and offer some reassurance. At this stage between around 11 and 14 wks, baby is having the biggest growth spurt that it has for the whole time. Also the uterus is seriously on the move, something I read said up to half an inch a day, in order to get up and out over the pelvic bone.
So there is absolutely masses of stuff going on inside all of us at the minute, within a small ball of what is essentially blood to start with (uterus). If you have a bit of cervix irritation, or low placenta or loads of other things then given how much is happening some light bleeding is maybe more normal then we think.
I am trying to stay positive, I have very bad cramps in my back today. Very worried but just trying to persuade myself that it is because wee buddy in growing so quickly that my stupid shaped uterus is having to work really hard to keep up. Stay strong ladies. Everyone says that this is the worst bit for a reason.

Carley27 · 09/06/2017 10:40

Good news Lapin, take it easy.

Zaberwocky · 09/06/2017 10:45

Miami erm ... in regards to your back ... how're you bowels doing? I noticed my back hurts, but it seems to be because everything is slowing down a bit.

Lapin off to bed with you then Smile that's really good news. No fun, and scary, but still good news.

Miami81 · 09/06/2017 10:48

Great news lapin. In that all ok and they know where it is coming from. Bed rest it is. My sisters friend had this with her twin boys (both of them had hematoma's near them), they are now 8.
Ha ha Zaber good point. I have been kind of ok, not as regular as normal but not completely non functioning either. Will keep an eye on it and up my water.

glastogal · 09/06/2017 10:58

zaber I have been reliant on stool softeners for a few weeks now and I doubt the problem is going anywhere!!! Digestive issues have plagued me for years and pregnancy seems to have supercharged them..

glastogal · 09/06/2017 10:59

Glad all is well lapin - enjoy the bed rest (get Netflix up and running Wink)

biginjapan · 09/06/2017 11:02

Delighted to say that the second vial of blood came back low risk for harmony. Massive relief.

glastogal · 09/06/2017 11:03

Fantastic news Japan Grin congratulations!!

Zaberwocky · 09/06/2017 11:11

Well Miami that's settled then Grin it's your poo pipes.

Glasto are you counting down the days till next Saturday...? I'm struggling to cope already. I NEED TO KNOW NOW!

DH's friend also got overexcited... I'm starting to wonder if I need to buy anything!
