Thread #6 for the chatty mums due in December (or thereabouts!).

As we move into the second trimester there will be more dating scans, gender reveals and burgeoning bumps - and hopefully a reduction in nausea!

@Bisquick So happy for you!! And I think that's our first confirmed girl! ❤️

So sorry to hear about your son in January. Nothing can replace him or fix what happened, but it's nice to think he's "up there" somewhere looking out for his little sister 🙂

Amazing news x

Zaberwocky · 08/06/2017 16:33

Oh Bisquick that's fab news!

You don't need to explain any of it to us. We're all just delighted you're happy Grin

CarlottaJo · 08/06/2017 16:35

Congratulations on our first confirmed pinky @Bisquick, I'm thrilled for you. Take all the time you need to get your head around finding out, you've been through so much and allowing yourself to process all of your feelings is so important Xx

glastogal · 08/06/2017 16:51

Oh bisquick!! So pleased for your results and your girly news!! We were due a girl announcement - congratulations x

Brens13 · 08/06/2017 16:57

Congratulations bisquick excellent news.

zaber you're not being unreasonable at all! I know some people with a snappy dog as well who just won't believe it despite seeing it for themselves. Sorry all dog lovers but baby trumps dog! Maybe your spiderbaby will be able to get the better of it tho! 😂

Zaberwocky · 08/06/2017 17:04

Ohhhhh Brens that IS a good point.

I shouldn't underestimate the abilities of spider baby. Though initially I'd imagine a dog would easily squash them.

CarlottaJo · 08/06/2017 17:09

Who's on the FB group? I might join now I know there's a baby in there!

CarlottaJo · 08/06/2017 17:10

BTW @Zaberwocky totally agree re the dog! You can't risk it.

Brens13 · 08/06/2017 17:12

There's 35 members in the Facebook group carlotta I'm one of them 😊

Lixon · 08/06/2017 17:12

Oh Bisquick I am so happy for you, congratulations on a lovely little girl. It will definitely take time to get used to but we're all here for support.

I just waited 2 hours to see a horrid consultant (well doctor in a consultant's clinic) who basically made me cry because she was so aggressive when she starting questioning me about taking aspirin (plus I've had no sleep). She was supposedly a mental health doctor and barely even asked how I was, just asked if I wanted a referral to the prenatal mental health team and filled out a form. On the plus side I do finally now have a referral to the fetal medicine team who I was meant to see originally but I can't get over how she made me feel. Rant over!

CarlottaJo · 08/06/2017 17:25

How do I get on again?!

CarlottaJo · 08/06/2017 17:30

@Lixon I'm so sorry you were made to feel like that, was there a mw there too? Sometimes some of the Drs can be lacking in communication skills, horrible when you are feeling tired and hormonal too. I'd mention it to your mw and maybe see if they could arrange for you to see the consultant, behaviour like that is hardly likely to encourage you to open up about your MH, hugs to you xxx

Angielka · 08/06/2017 17:32

Love it zaberwocky I'll get practising Grin sorry about the dog drama. People get a little irrational where their pets are concerned... Confused

Happy for you bisquick!! Nothing will replace the little boy you lost but it'll be lovely getting ready for your little girl!

Oh Lixon sounds horrid. Hopefully your paths won't have to cross again...

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 08/06/2017 18:17

@Lixon That sounds awful! Glad you've got the referral you need, and hopefully you'll never have to deal with that doctor again! 😡

MotherofUnicorns · 08/06/2017 20:07

bisquick i can totally imagine the downsides to big asian families and from my firends experiences i think it only gets worse once there is a baby to fuss over!! Also - Exciting news about a little girl!!

carlotta we are due date twins! I can't remember who you message to get on the FB group, i've mixed up all the names now but it would be great to see you on there - I am sure someone will pick up your message soon - keep bumping it! Maybe Brens?
Also nub wise - my sonographer at 12weeks said she thought we were team pink as the line was so straight..... i think yours looks similar so my guess is a girl!!

Brens13 · 08/06/2017 20:23

Yep you canput your email on here or msg me it and I can add you to the group. Sorry, missed this! I might have to work out how to find direct messages too lol.

glastogal · 08/06/2017 20:56

We have ordered curry for election night.. I feel rubbish though.. hope I can stomach it Confused

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 08/06/2017 21:13

Assurance scan went well - Little Biker was busy waving at us 💙 So nothing stopping us from telling the SC on Saturday! 😱

December 2017 babies #6 - dating scans, gender reveals, the beginning of bumps & the 2nd trimester!
ScotsLamb · 08/06/2017 22:24

Just had a look at my tummy to see if it is square. Nope. But for a split second I thought "oh my goodness it moved. The baby is moving" (I'm 12 weeks today) only to realise it's my jelly belly wobbling. Oops!
New on the square tummy: mine is not square. Sorry!
I went for a separate dinner away from colleagues today (I need to eat much much slower or I'm sick and I feel really self conscious with people waiting on me finishing). I had amazing rib, fries and coleslaw then had to do yoga vreathing to stop myself throwing it back up 🤢 I hate this feeling!
We go to Paris tomorrow. Yay! I'm so excited. Hope everyone has a fab weekend if I don't pop up here.

glastogal · 08/06/2017 22:31

Omg biker - look at that teeny biker hand ♥️ just amazing!!

Have a lovely time in Paris scots.. I'm mega jealous of those runs. Love ribs!

Mrsbluebell17 · 08/06/2017 22:55

Biker if you want to share girls name inspiration then feel free as we are struggling with girls names.

Congrats on the girl news Bisquick!!! Sorry to hear about your January loss, and you know we're always all here if you want to chat on the thread.

Scots your lunch sounds amazing.
We had tapas tonight for dinner at one of my favourite places. Pre birthday and post exam celebrations with some friends. Enjoy Paris!

We came home this evening to our NHS screening results and all low risk so feeling very reassured again tonight.

Hope everyone else has had a good day!

Bisquick · 08/06/2017 23:34

Thank you ladies!

LapinR0se · 09/06/2017 06:28

This morning I have heavy brown discharge with some bright red blood and two clots. Have just texted the obstetrician Sad

Mrsbluebell17 · 09/06/2017 06:31

Lapin try not to worry, and maybe get yourself to EPU if you can? Your scan and everything was great just a few days ago wasn't it? And no signs of bleeding nor concerns? Hopefully just some movement causing bleeding. Thinking of you x

LapinR0se · 09/06/2017 06:32

Scan was good two days ago but I'd had brown discharge then. Scan showed very low lying placenta which he said might be the cause but unsure. There isn't any EPU over here as far as I know
