December 2017 babies #6 - dating scans, gender reveals, the beginning of bumps & the 2nd trimester!

Thread #6 for the chatty mums due in December (or thereabouts!).

As we move into the second trimester there will be more dating scans, gender reveals and burgeoning bumps - and hopefully a reduction in nausea!

Carlotta it's so weird isn't it? DH is comparing it to extremely early nesting.

I'm going to believe him. He's read more pregnancy books than me!

Oh! That's another idea Bisquick a really good book. The mumsnet pregnancy one is pretty funny and distracting.

Or you know ... just take yourself off to Classics. You can easily distract yourself for hours there.

After I had quite a lot of cramps and heartburn last night, I woke up to kind of a square shaped belly :-o it looks rather odd... I'm hoping someone's making room :-D

I have had to wear lose stretchy jeans to work because of tight feeling in tummy. Last night was very weird cramps. And heartburn seems to have appeared in the last two days. Not happy about that (although I am really, it's a symptom and I will cling to it with all my worth).
I imagine my house will be the cleanest it has ever been this weekend.
We also have DH niece and nephew for most of the day on Sunday so that will be a fantastic distraction. They are 7 and 3 and truly bananas, it will be great fun.

My boss has just sent me home as a reward as I'm smashing my targets atm. I'm going to have a nap while DD is still at nursery. So excited.

I'm currently watching documentaries as a distraction, the one I'm watching currently is really sad, I'm not sure it was a good move x

Totally off topic, but came across this thread a few months ago and couldn't stop giggling in the office managed to find it again and trying to stifle the giggles again!

Very very wriggly baby. Was changing sides, somersaulting, turning its back to us, flipping upside down, everything but staying still. No nuchal fold measurements taken. Was in there for over half an hour and my belly feels battered. But a healthy and active baby which was good to see. Edd now 10 Dec. Couldn't see nub either.

Wow, new thread and 11 pages in 2 days! So glad all is well lapin and mary, and lovely to see so many scan pics flooding in.

Wondering if there's a 15 week regression when it comes to nausea and exhaustion, or if this bubba is having a mega growth spurt. I was feeling great last week then the last few days have been horrendous. Too sick to even MN

Ugh, first harmony vial inconclusive. Not enough feral DNA. They are testing the second one and will let me know in the next 3 days. I don't see how this one will be better as they were taken one after the other :(

Congrats mary, lapin and steph excellent news and scans. Am also loving all the nub guessing. I googled the theory yesterday so obvs reckon I'm an expert now.

Went for a 10 mile walk today! I'm now obviously dead on the sofa. (mainly because I had the most massive lunch after and so now am definitely carrying twins!)

I've just been folding and putting away clothes, yaaaaawn, can't imagine the extra loads a small person will bring! Apart from the nesting washing and ironing pre birth I imagine it is soul destroying #fantasisesabouthavingacleanerandironinglady

Because I know you all LOVE food chat ...

I'm bored. Everything is bland and disappointing. But DH only likes plain and boring food I need things to make for me!

What've you lot been eating? I need to do a food shop!

I've made a lasagne, I think it's too sunny now though!

Today I've had:
Dippy egg and soldiers
Yoghurt
Steak & chips
Lebanese mezze

All mighty fine!!

I've had;

. One slice of advocado on toast for breakfast
. Had a bit of leftover pastry, so made a mini cream cheese and tomato tart thing for lunch
. Currently have a handful of carrot and cucumber sticks and a pot of hummus I'm nibbling on half heartedly.

Ah I know it's not enough. I feel awful about it, I just really seem to struggle with eating in the summer!

Oooh food...I've just enjoyed the first proper thing I've eaten since Sunday. DP 'made' crispy chicken tenders, skinny fries and gravy with thick white bread to make a gravy chip butty! It's not the sort of thing I usually eat but OMG it was amazing!!!

I'm still very much in the beige camp foodwise. I cannot stand the thought of meat at all
