@Nicecuppa I've had really hard stools it's horrible and have had bright red blood a couple of times and found it painful to go! I think the blood is from where it cut me on the way out (

Not sure if it's piles or not as it doesn't hurt when I sit down or anything lol. I have no idea what they feel like though! I've spoken to midwife who said it is really common though.

I have also wet myself when having a hay fever sneezing fit! Phew thought I was the only one with weak muscles 😄 OH found it hilarious...😒

And I was also up at the Day assessment unit on Monday thinking I was leaking fluid because I had so much watery discharge (sorry TMI)! So looks like I have had all the same symptoms as everyone 😄

Zampa · 19/07/2017 10:26

Buttery Rosemary and Velvet (not quite Taffeta but a material nonetheless) are on my girls' name list.

Rosemary was my mum's name. OH has vetoed Velvet and I don't really blame him. Still quite like it though!

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 19/07/2017 10:30

Thanks Hazandduck, that makes me feel better! Doesn't sound too pleasant for you though

Hazandduck · 19/07/2017 10:41

Seeing it written down sounds bad but I honestly am fine and loving being pregnant haha. Despite all the worry! I feel happy and glowy! Just getting some pretty funny symptoms lol x

Hazandduck · 19/07/2017 10:43

Oh @Zampa those names 😍 Love them. We keep adding names to our shortlist, yesterday spontaneously we added Walter to the list! Is it bad that it's because we love so many famous Walters?? White, Bishop, Disney, Whitman..! OH said it sounds very old man and that's why he likes it :)

lydiangel83 · 19/07/2017 11:25

Rosemary is my mums name so I can't use it but it is a lovely name :)

lydiangel83 · 19/07/2017 11:25

We don't really talk about names any more as not getting very far on our shortlist!!

Hazandduck · 19/07/2017 13:34

Haha OH said yesterday "well we've got six weeks to decide after he's born so no rush." He's so laid back he's horizontal at times lol. We will probably be debating the name when Baby is a month old! X

lydiangel83 · 19/07/2017 14:09

Why six weeks @Hazandduck is that a legal thing?

lydiangel83 · 19/07/2017 14:10

My DH is good at veto-big names and less good at coming up with them himself!!

Topsyloulou · 19/07/2017 14:40

We had a nightmare trying to pick a name for DS. We had one from about 22 weeks all the way up to 39 weeks & then DP decided he didn't like it. After a while of sitting with him & going through every name website, book etc I told him to come up with a list of names he did like & then we'd decide. He finally came up with three & we couldn't agree on any. Finally on the morning I went to be induced he suggested what is now DS' name. Frustratingly it was one I'd suggested repeatedly. He just needed to get there in his own time. We have a shortlist of 4 this that me but there is only really one I would use, he's not adverse to it, just hasn't got there yet. As long as we're agreed before she arrives it we can leave it until we go to the hospital again.

Also getting the leaking when sneezing, also when laughing or coughing! Also got the start of piles, the glamour of pregnancy!

Hazandduck · 19/07/2017 16:50

@Lydia yes I think that's when you have to go and register the birth by. At least that's what OH told me, he's turned in to a pregnancy nerd reading everything lol x

butterybollocks · 19/07/2017 17:25

We're really struggling with names! Could have easily picked a girl's name but boys names are so hard.

lydiangel83 · 19/07/2017 17:55

The downside of keeping gender a surprise is that we are struggling with blurb @butterybollocks! I go through phases of thinking I like a name and then changing my mind and DH is better at vetoing than suggesting names so list is only getting smaller!

JCleRoux · 19/07/2017 19:44

We are also struggling with names especially for a boy. We are not finding out if we are having a boy or girl, leaving it a surprise. My DS is convinced we are having a boy though and he keeps naming him all sorts Grin.

We booked a private scan this past weekend to tell my DS and he's so excited. He keeps telling everyone that he's going to be a big brother. He refuses to even consider that the baby might be a girl!

The thing that's mostly stressing me out is that we have bought nothing for the baby. Not even a single babygro. If I didn't have a small bump you'd swear we are not having a baby.

Has anyone found anything good in the sales?

tmc14 · 19/07/2017 20:03

We're struggling with boy names too, we feel uninspired by them all! Glad we're not the only ones.

I got a cute babygro in the JoJoMamanBebe sale, also a pack in the sale from John Lewis. TK Maxx had some good stuff. I'm lucky to have been given a bunch of second hand nice things from my sister/a friend.

GingerHanna · 19/07/2017 20:07

Here in the Netherlands we have two days to register the baby, not including the day of birth. So we have talked a lot about names and think we are agreed, just allowing that he may get here and totally not look like the name we have chosen, if you know what I mean.

@JCleRoux George at Asda has sale every 4 weeks so lots of opportunities to pick a sale bargain! I'm still fond of eBay bundles, even though I've noticed the older the age range the less there is in a bundle.

@GingerHanna 2 days!!! Wow that doesn't give much opportunity to ponder!

We have picked our name and I really hope it suits madam when she arrives. I like the name even more after my MIL was scathing about it at the weekend. Last time I tell her anything

Zampa · 19/07/2017 20:50

I'm very much considering going to the doctor to be asked to be signed off work. I've had a tummy bug and cold for over a week and now I'm coughing so much, it's making me throw up. Have dragged myself into the office and supposed to be in London for a meeting tomorrow but it's a 6 hour round trip and I feel like death.

We've recently lost 2 FT team members and I feel bad about leaving the rest of the team in the lurch. I'm also on holiday for a fortnight from the 27th so feel taking sick leave is taking the p*ss.

Going to see how I feel in the morning ...

theotherendofthesockportal · 19/07/2017 21:25

@Zampa if you are ill you are ill! I mean this in the nicest possible way but don't be a hero. It's important to get your rest in now rather than crashing and burning later on.

I felt the same when I was poorly around 16 weeks, I ended up having nearly 2 weeks off but it did me the world of good.

I hope you feel better soon 💐

lydiangel83 · 19/07/2017 21:43

@Zampa that sounds rubbish. I'm feeling sorry for myself with a cold and going to see how I feel tomorrow. It's hard to rest when you know you have a lot on but as others have said you need to rest xx

JCleRoux · 19/07/2017 22:25

@Zampa ask yourself how productive you really are working the way you feel now. As PP said you're ill and I would suggest you be selfish and take some time off to heal and rest properly Flowers

butterybollocks · 20/07/2017 06:42

@zampa get yourself to the docs! There are some really nasty viruses going around at the moment, I've not felt well for almost 6 weeks and that was with a full week off work, a course of antibiotics and a lot of paracetamol - doctor told me I must rest. And you have your holiday coming up so you want to go in to that feeling as well as possible!

Look after yourself.

izzibee29 · 20/07/2017 06:58

@Zampa defo doesn't hurt to get checked at the doctors. Think about it.

Got my 20 week scan today ladies (but I'm actually 22+2) hoping all is good and that the sonographer manages to get all the measurements they need. Will be nerve racking if I have to go for another scan to get all the results.

Zampa · 20/07/2017 07:49

Good luck for today @izzibee29!

Thank you for all your comments. It does reassure me that I should take being ill seriously and I'm not being a drama queen. I'm, of course, very worried about what the baby's going through right now! Will call the doctor when they open.

Hope that everyone else suffering is better/on the mend. xx
