We had a Cocoonababy buttery. DD loved it and I would recommend it but stupidly expensive considering it's only used for 3 months. I think that the Sleepyhead can be used for longer.

Dana I went into labour early with DD and she was born via EMCS as her heart rate was falling. Under the fetal medicine consultant this time as DD has some significant health issues and have a couple of extra scans booked in. Keeping everything crossed for a healthy one this time.

Hi ladies, just catching up.

Home from my hen do and it was lovely! Any Disney fans out there, the girls got me these "Beauty and the Bump" pjs from Boohoo and I love them!

It was the 1 year anniversary this weekend of my first miscarriage, going away was the perfect distraction and it was so nice that all the girls got to feel Thumper (what we call baby) kicking!

Hope everyone is good, you all seem to be in full preparation mode 😬 We have moved our bed over to get used to the new layout of our room when the crib is in, but other than that we are not planning on doing anything really until after our honeymoon in September. I'm sure it will change as the weeks go on though... :)

Lovely pic @Hazandduck and glad you got spoiled :)

Hazandduck · 18/07/2017 13:11

Thank you @lydia!

Anyone else stuck in a boiling hot office today?? Ugh! X

butterybollocks · 18/07/2017 13:49

It is a bit warm today! I'm hiding out at home - there is an away day in London at work today but I'm dialling in. So I've just popped out to the garden for an ice cream (sorry!)

My maternity swimming costume has just arrived so I'm almost ready to go on holiday this weekend. Forecast says 29 degrees every day, might be a bit warm in our tent!

Zampa · 18/07/2017 15:24

Buttery I'm also a bit anxious about camping in France but we did request a shady spot so hoping our pitch is surrounded by trees!

DD was up at 0330 this morning and refused to go back to sleep. Not only can I not drink vast amounts of coffee to stay awake but I can't take any medicines for my cough and cold. Boo hoo me!

I like your gentleman friend Haz!

butterybollocks · 18/07/2017 15:29

Omg zampa I feel your pain on the early wake ups and the cough and cold! I would normally hit the lemsip max strength!

When are you off to France? Certainly seems to be hot there at the moment. I'm going shopping on Thurs to try to find some insect repellent and insect bite cream that are pregnancy safe!

JessicaFletcher16 · 18/07/2017 17:04

Hi everyone! After lurking for a while I have finally decided to join you! Expecting our first baby on November 16th, had been trying for 3 years and were just waiting for a blood test on Day 1 of my cycle so that we could apply for IVF when we had our BFP! Still can't quite believe it which is why I haven't joined before now! Grin Starting to feel more real now, although I have an anterior placenta I am feeling a fair bit of movement which is reassuring. Going to start our baby shopping on Saturday! Smile

kimblesj · 18/07/2017 17:15

I have literally lost you for an entire thread or maybe 2!

What!!!!!

Anyway hope everyone is well. I'm 22 weeks today, after having 4 sons, we are expecting a daughter.

After our son being stillborn last time I have been a bit anxious and have some issues with my cervix but otherwise all is well, being monitored constantly.

Is anyone else feeling rather wet down there? I have been feeling damp for a few days now and I'm sure it's an increase in discharge or something but would be reassured to know I'm not the only one.

How is everyone doing?

lydiangel83 · 18/07/2017 18:04

@JessicaFletcher16 welcome what lovely news and @kimblesj welcome back! You must be so excited about a girl :-)

@butterybollocks I'm jealous having spent the day in an office with bitchy women and @Zampa I bought Boots brand natural insect repellent when I went to Japan but must admit to spraying normal stuff on my legs in Italy last week - is that bad??

lydiangel83 · 18/07/2017 18:05

@kimblesj yes I've noticed it last few days actually, wondering if due to heat?

theotherendofthesockportal · 18/07/2017 18:19

@JessicaFletcher16 welcome! Your my due date twin and I also have an anterior placenta. Can you feel kicks around the edge of your bump? That's what I get!

@kimblesj so glad you mentioned it, I thought it was just me. I am carrying around spare pairs of pants!

Motherhippy16 · 18/07/2017 18:27

Welcome @jessicafletcher !
I have had my first baby kick today... felt a flutter and put my hand on it and felt a little push! I was so happy I had a little cry and he hasn't stopped moving and dancing all eve! I've just ordered my new sports bra (32ff thank you baby!) So I'm ready for pregnancy yoga next week.... much love to all x x x x

kimblesj · 18/07/2017 19:42

I'm glad I'm the one who lowers the tone to moist vaginas!
I waltz back in and immediately head for the nether regions!

@lydiangel83 It is really strange to think we are having a girl. We have a scan every 2 weeks so been told it's a girl 4 times now and every time I get them to check there is no penis! I had no preference.

The reactions of the other children were hilarious. Ds2 (6) was elated ds3 (3) was absolutely livid that it was a sister.

I have an anterior placenta too. Plenty of low movement and yesterday Dh felt her kick for the first time which was lovely. He and ds2 are off to Cyprus on our family holiday this evening so it was nice he got to share that before he left Grin

Zampa · 18/07/2017 19:54

Buttery We're going to the Dordogne on 29/07. It's 25-30 degrees there at the moment, which is more than hot enough for me. Just taken delivery of a Padre XL kitchen table, which is epic!

Not a clue on insect repellent but I think it's all ok as long as it doesn't contain DEET. We've got a bug zapper for the tent but should look into this more.

lydiangel83 · 19/07/2017 03:13

Got a bit paranoid as had used DEET in Italy last week, but have read a few articles where risk is low/ unknown and in zika infested areas (not Europe I know) they say use DEET as risk of other problems is greater. So hoping I'll be ok as a) not in first trimester and b) only used lightly on arms and legs for a few days. Should be more careful Confused

lydiangel83 · 19/07/2017 03:14

@Zampa I did get natural Boots own brand spray that pharmacist said was ok to use - I just forgot to take it away with me!

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 19/07/2017 06:18

Lovely news about the kick Motherhippy.

Does anyone else have/think they might have piles. I just went to the loo, had a bowel movement after a bit of a strain and then had some bright red blood on first wipe.
99% sure that's what this is as there was no more blood but haven't felt any of the itching that you're supposed to have with piles so not sure. Does anyone know what they're supposed to feel like?

butterybollocks · 19/07/2017 07:27

@zampa I'm going to ask the pharmacist about insect repellent so will report back. I think most natural ones are ok but there are some essential oils that should be avoided. I'm probably overthinking this tho, lydia is right that there's no significant evidence against deet. The dordogne is gorgeous...Enjoy :) this is our first time camping in France so we're only venturing as far as the loire.

Welcome Jessica!

I'm not so much moist as having to be really careful not to wee myself everytime I cough or sneeze Blush

Had a dream last night that I unexpectedly had triplets. I left one behind in the hospital because three just seemed like too much work - I couldn't carry them all. I named them Rosemary and Taffeta.

theotherendofthesockportal · 19/07/2017 07:36

@butterybollocks you won't believe this but I also dreamt I had triplets last night! They were all girls and I remember two of the names were Emily and Alyse. Which are names I would never chose in real life!

GingerHanna · 19/07/2017 07:41

buttery I'm totally with you on the sneezing... Blush and with three babies being too many to carry!!!

OP posts:
lydiangel83 · 19/07/2017 08:00

I'm still having sneezing fits during the day and night - so weird! Don't think it's hay fever. Just going to the loo a lot at the moment and anticipating it'll get worse as baby grows! 25 wks today :)

lydiangel83 · 19/07/2017 08:00

And lol the triplet dreams. My mum is a triplet, they were the last of my granny's 11 children. Can't even imagine it!

butterybollocks · 19/07/2017 09:12

Sock Shock that's so weird! I woke up slightly terrified and wondering how you'd even carry three from the living room to the kitchen etc?!

Glad I'm not alone in the sneezing. I have a cold so it's a dangerous business. I have to remember to cross my legs before I sneeze Blush

theotherendofthesockportal · 19/07/2017 09:17

@butterybollocks I woke up feeling sad because I had forgotten the name of the third one!

I have regularly sneezing fits too, but have read this is common.
