Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

Thanks Look!

I have zero symptoms so far! Feels weird to be pregnant and not have any.

Oooh the boob one is def a sign! How far along are you you Look?

lookatthemoon · 30/05/2017 07:23

I am only 4 +3! Or 19dpo in last week's language 😉

Firsttimeandclueless · 30/05/2017 07:27

I'm only 3+6!

So verrry nervous and slightly in shock!
Praying for a sticky bean for all of us. 🤗

lookatthemoon · 30/05/2017 08:15

I know it is nerve wracking! But at least tomorrow you pass the 4 week mark. 😀 Fx for us!

Iamchanging · 30/05/2017 08:26

I wonder when we will start feeling sick. I'm a little bit nauseous but nothing too bad, more like I just have no appetite (which is a miracle for me!!)

pickledprogress · 30/05/2017 08:48

I am feelin really queezy this morning - didn't start til 8 weeks last time Hmm about to call and make midwife appointment - feels like jinxing it almost - but have to call now to get appointment 4 weeks! Crazy

MammyHester9116 · 30/05/2017 08:58

I've just booked my first midwife appointment for 20th June.
Need to phone each morning to try and see the doctor. I was prescribed folic acid last time so I want it sooner rather than later.
I want to book my dating scan before 14th July because it is our staff night out but I think it will be the following week! SadI don't know how to get away with not drinking.

Rockaby · 30/05/2017 09:07

I felt the same re contacting doctors pickled, but our local GP is so busy. It takes absolutely ages to get an appointment, so I just went for it. They are referring me to the mw, who I am waiting to hear from.

I've had queasy moments over the past couple of days and an upset tummy this morning, but nothing major. If I hadn't missed my period, I wouldn't have really thought much about the queasiness iyswim. My boobs are enormous and a little bit sore, but more tingly if that makes sense? Again, nothing major. I was so bloated at the end of last week that I looked about 16 weeks! It's deflated now though.

I can't remember when symptoms really kicked in for me with DD, but I was never actually sick. Not once during the whole pregnancy. I just had a very queasy tummy and gagging all the time (nice), especially if I was around food I didn't like.

I'm trying very hard not to get too anxious in this pregnancy. I was very, very anxious when I was pregnant with DD. It's so hard not to be, but I'm aiming for a more relaxed pregnancy this time.

Sanchezwasntdirty · 30/05/2017 09:22

I've booked my midwife appointment for 13th June had to go through my gp, I felt so dense hadn't got a clue what to do.

Sore boobs over here as well moon! I (stupidly) went and bought some new bras last week... have a feeling that money well wasted as they've started growing already Hmm

emwithme · 30/05/2017 11:29

Feeling so queasy this morning, not helped by the fact that I had to deal with a dismembered baby bird in the kitchen this morning (thanks cats)

Booked the MW appointment for 20 June, and am about to book a reassurance scan.

Iamchanging · 30/05/2017 11:42

Am I stupid for wanting to feel nauseous just to know things are progressing?!! Confused

lookatthemoon · 30/05/2017 12:19

Sanchez - someday (maybe in about 12 months time!) you'll feel great about fitting into those small new bras! Smile

Random question - have any of you cut down on your exercise? I've stopped running (it just didn't feel right) but I am doing other exercise but I wonder/worry that I'll push it too hard (even though I'm not doing anything crazy).

Rockaby · 30/05/2017 12:58

moon, I am still exercising, but taking it a little bit easier. With DD, I quit running and the gym at about 6 weeks as it didn't feel right for me. I would like to continue a bit longer this time, but will see how I feel. I think you do have to listen to your instincts and do what feels right for you, (as cliched as that sounds)!

changing, i know what you mean! I'm always looking for something to prove to myself I'm still pregnant! Confused

Sanchezwasntdirty · 30/05/2017 13:21

I will fit in them again moon, I will! Lol 😂... my work trousers are a different story, they were tight to begin with, now I feel like they're trying to squeeze the living day lights out of me. I don't want to tell work till I've seen the midwife because once I tell them the whole world will know (I won't be allowed to do my actual job and will be stuck in a office). I'm not ready for everyone to know yet.

Saltandpepperpig · 30/05/2017 17:48

I tried to book in with midwife today and get my notes was told I have to see a dr first - complete other way round to last time! Feel horrendous today, felt sick, dizzy and bloated non stop and I only found out on Saturday so I hope this isn't a sign of another horrendous pregnancy but is reassuring as yesterday I still didn't believe I was pregnant!

Pickle27 · 30/05/2017 18:30

Hello can I join please Smile? I had my first ever bfp last week. Not many symptoms yet except tiredness.

Congratulations to you all SmileSmile

I am probably about a month but my doctors is always booked up! I explained the situation to the (very lovely and apologetic) receptionist but all they could offer was a call back from the doctor. I have a heart condition so need that GP confirmation for my consultants! X

Melody85 · 30/05/2017 19:40

Hello,
Hoping I'm ok to join! I got my first positive result last Wednesday and according to a due date calculator I'm 4 weeks, 4 days and due 1st Feb. We're a little bit in shock as I have PCOS and was told it would take a while, low and behold it happened the first month I used ovulation sticks! 😊 I managed to get an appointment with my doctor for Friday and was wondering what to expect? It all feels a little bit surreal at the moment, I'm hoping once I've been to the doctor it will seem less like a dream! I'm so nervous about something going wrong, I have had some horrible cramps but did another test yesterday and the line was even stronger so hoping everything is fine!!

emwithme · 30/05/2017 20:57

Note to self: DO NOT watch Ethel & Ernest again. I have had it on my Sky box since Christmas. I have just watched it and spent the last 15 minutes sobbing. Actual, proper, wracking sobs. The thing is, I have read the book. The BOOK makes me cry. Why I thought watching the TV adaptation wouldn't make me cry, I have no clue.

DH is out, and the cats are looking at me as if I've been replaced by a Being from Outer Space.

Oh well, chocolate it is.

SofiePendragon · 30/05/2017 21:02

Hello! Can I join in too?

I got my bfp on Saturday, but not sure when my due date will be as I'm not sure when I ovulated - my lmp was April 11th but kept getting bfns until Saturday. If I put my ovulation date into one of the calculators as two weeks before my bfp I get an edd of 3rd Feb so going to go with that until I can get a more accurate date.

I'm feeling a bit nervous as I had a chemical pregnancy in February. Fingers crossed this one sticks! My Dh says the lines are stronger this time round so hoping that's a good sign! Trying to resist the urge to keep testing now Grin

pickledprogress · 30/05/2017 21:17

Hello newbies! congrates on your BFPs!!

so have shared the new with my mom and sister - both of whom were a little reserved about it... Both basically stating its early days yet etc... YES I know this - I want them to know for support if something goes wrong... like they were last time. Balloon truly deflated!!

on a brighter note feeling a bit better this evening Smile - hoping that i wont be uber sick like last time.

my practice doesn't need me to see a dr first - last time I did and they were confused of why I bothered! couldnt get through when I called today so will try again tomorrow to make a midwife appt.

thinking of a reassurance scan - hubby not that keen though - what will be will be etc...

Sanchezwasntdirty · 30/05/2017 21:41

Congratulations on the BFPs ladies!

Pickled we've told DM and DMIL... they're both beyond excited. It'll be my DMs first gc which I know she's been desperate for lol. Definitely not letting them get their hopes up this early on in case it all goes wrong Confused

Firsttimeandclueless · 31/05/2017 06:26

Welcome to all the new bfps!
I'm 3 + 7 today! Still way too nervous to tell anyone except DP.

Keep getting stronger and stronger positives on FRER but I still don't feel like it is real.

Do any of you lovely ladies know in what time frame I need to make an appointment for the midwife?

AF is officially due tomorrow and I think I would like a week, just to process. 😂

pickledprogress · 31/05/2017 06:44

firsttime congrats :) most midwives do book in at 8-10 weeks Smile

Howaboutthismonth · 31/05/2017 08:04

Morning! Congrats to all x
If I ovulated on Friday may 5th does this mean I am 3 weeks plus 5? Or should I be counting from last period which was April 22? I'm so clueless!!
I have a midwife appt. booked for June 26
Thanks xx

Rockaby · 31/05/2017 08:18

how, google "due date calculator" and put your info in there. There's an NHS one I think. It's supposed to be from the first day of your last period, so think you must be 5 and a bit weeks Smile!
