Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

howto like pretzel said it's from first day of last period- mine was 23rd (but convinced oved on the 12th) so my due date is either 28th Jan or 2nd Feb. Need to call dr today for midwife appt - so difficult to fit in working without telling them!!

carbqueen88 · 31/05/2017 10:04

Guys I'm terrified!
I'm away at the moment on a hen party and yesterday at the beach I noticed there was a little bit of blood when I went for a wee.
This has only happened yesterday and has now stopped - was red not brown (sorry tmi)

I'm absolutely TERRIFIED as our last pregnancy in 2013 was a blighted ovum and we found out at the 12 week scan xxx

Firsttimeandclueless · 31/05/2017 10:10

Thanks so much pickle
Think I'll take a week to process and then get in touch.😁

Hey How to , I definitely think it is from the first day of your last period! Eg. My period started May 5th so I count from there. The NHS due date calculator gave me 8/02/18 as a rough due date.

Try not to panic carb, some small bleeding can be normal on early pregnancy I think. Fingers crossed everything is okay. Maybe see if you can give a quick call to your midwife? It might put your mind at ease.

Sanchezwasntdirty · 31/05/2017 10:21

Try not to panic carb! I had some spotting the week I found out... hopefully it'll be nothing, hand holding though!

pretzelpieces · 31/05/2017 10:54

Hand holding carb, hopefully a very small amount isn't a bad sign. Is your af due now? Could it be a breakthrough bleed? A lot of people get those around when their period "should" have been.

Another hand hold here Carb. The fact that there hasn't been anymore is positive. But I know how horrible it is to be constantly checking for blood. Fx! x

pickledprogress · 31/05/2017 13:22

Handholding carb hoping it's nothing!

Booking appt booked for 23rd June

Took digital test today - niceness seeing the word pregnant!

Thekissbyklimt13 · 31/05/2017 15:04

Can I join? I got my BFP yesterday, spent all night tossing and turning and having second thoughts but woke up feeling excited about it! I haven't told DH yet as he's working away this week, and I know as soon as I tell him he'll tell his mum/sister. I don't want them to know until I'm much further on as I'm 38 and have a few health issues.

Sanchezwasntdirty · 31/05/2017 15:15

Congratulations Thekiss and welcome!

Firsttimeandclueless · 31/05/2017 15:17

Hiya Thekiss waves

Congrats on your BFP! 😁

Oh pickle that's wonderful! I haven't taken a digital yet. Going to hold off until Monday! Have taken a few more FRERs and one from my CBFM and all are positive. However, doubt I have enough HCG for a digital yet.

Supposed to be going to the gym tonight but feel like wrapping myself in cotton wool until the 12 week mark instead. 😂

Thekissbyklimt13 · 31/05/2017 15:55

Thanks!

Howaboutthismonth · 31/05/2017 18:00

Thanks for all your replies and congrats to the new Bfp's!!
Now I am really confused. My preg test last Friday said 2-3 weeks?! But 5 days on I am 5.5 weeks?! Arghh sorry maybe I can get baby brain this early??!

Rockaby · 31/05/2017 18:04

The tests tend to say when you conceived, but the midwives / sonographer / obstetricians will date it from the first day of your last period afaik.

Howaboutthismonth · 31/05/2017 18:06

Thank you rockaby
I'll shut up now !! Blush

Rockaby · 31/05/2017 18:07

Ah not at all! I thought the same thing last time I was pregnant. Thought I was 0 weeks when I was 4.

Binglesplodge · 31/05/2017 19:26

Hello: signing up and strapping in for the ride!

2nd pregnancy for me: the first is a boisterous 2.5yo boy! BFP was on Saturday: I only tested because I fancied some wine over the bank holiday weekend when my period was due and ovia told me to...

It's a long thread and I confess I have skimmed it - any other 2nd/3rd/many timers here? Can we collect names and due dates? Mine is estimated at 3rd Feb.

Firsttimeandclueless · 31/05/2017 19:28

Hi Bingle's

How are ya? Waves

Quick run down of me:

Age: 27 (as of three days ago😂😂)
First pregnancy.
Due (according to NHS due date calculator) Feb 8th 2018.

Currently 3+7 and already impatient.

Haven't really a clue what I'm doing but very happy all the same.

Welcome to our little February 2018 group!

Thekissbyklimt13 · 31/05/2017 19:38

On the first day of your missed period, you are already 4 weeks - doesn't make sense I know!

My due date is 6th Feb. It's lovely having this thread!

pickledprogress · 31/05/2017 19:52

Hi all newbies to the group!

About me:
Age 34
This is my 4th pregnancy - first two I lost very early on but currently have an awesome 1.5 year old

Currently 5.3 weeks and due 28th Jan based on last period ( my maths works it at 2nd Feb) Smile

To all the newbies - remember to get hold of pregnancy Vitamins - I stomach silver seas better - it has the folic acid you need - am also taking feroglobin to help with being tired

llamabeans · 31/05/2017 20:19

Hi and congrats all!

Can I join? Got my first bfp on Sunday. Initially panicked quite a lot because we'd just decided to wait a bit longer but these things happen! Excitement starting to creep in now.

Tried to make appointment with the doctors yesterday but apparently you have to phone at 8:30 to make any appointments!? Don't particularly want to do it at my desk at work... is it worth me just seeing if I can self refer online?

Oh, and baby ETA end of Jan/early Feb.

pickledprogress · 31/05/2017 20:43

Hi llama! Did your surgery say if you needed to see a dr?? I just called and made appt with midwife in a few weeks - for my first pregnancy I made a dr appt and she wondered why I was there!!

Feeling a bit panicked as have 1.5 year old and hubby away a lot - wondering how will cope with 2 alone!!!

Howaboutthismonth · 31/05/2017 20:57

Yes I was also told I wouldn't need to see the doc at all and just made a midwife appt.
When I asked if I need to make a doctors appt. too the receptionist said oh no only if you want to.
xx Smile

Rockaby · 31/05/2017 21:08

I'm 33 and have a DD who is 2.5yo. I am 5 weeks today, due on 31st January.

Sanchezwasntdirty · 31/05/2017 21:12

Hi llama I had no idea what I was meant to do when I found out... I went to docs and she said just to book an appointment with the midwife. You may be able to book on online but that'll depend on your surgery.

llamabeans · 31/05/2017 22:07

Yeah, didn't think I needed to see a doctor but they just told me to ring back in the morning without asking what for. Anyway, remembered seeing a poster in the window of my local pharmacy so just made DH drive us up there to investigate. Had a phone number for community midwife on it so will give that a ring in the morning. Smile
