Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

em seems hopeful the scan should be on time then. I also have a retroverted uterus I don't think it makes it any harder to carry for conceive but in early stages and abdo scan is harder to do

RainyDayBear · 27/06/2017 07:57

So, having to stop DD chucking rubber ducks in the loo whilst I threw up was a fun twist on morning sickness. Feeling very grim today!

choochooo · 27/06/2017 09:10

Sending lots of love to pumbleton, bliss and anyone else going through a worrying time. It's so awful being in limbo. Flowers do push for them to see you at EPU if possible.

I am worrying about decreasing symptoms as usual. I had a lovely few days of almost constant boob ache and nausea and yesterday nothing.

Booking in appointment is at 6 weeks and scan at 8.

ELFR you're entitled to time off work for midwife appointments

Crappy night feelings are just your womb stretching and the bean settling in. Don't worry!

Lovely news for those who have had good scans :) chance of mc goes down to 1% after having seen hb at 8 weeks. It is always nice to feel reassured.

Emwah im another with retroverted uterus so I always have to have dildocam Confused

choochooo · 27/06/2017 09:10

*crampy niggly not crappy nightly !!!

choochooo · 27/06/2017 09:11

Rainy how old is your Dd? My DS is also a fan of the ducks in the loo!

PumbletonWakeshaft · 27/06/2017 10:00

Morning all, glad some of you are getting scans with lovely news. Nice to hear something positive

Well I've FINALLY been given an appointment at EPU for tomorrow (more waiting!). I'm a bit cross that the person who rang didn't even ask about my symptoms, whether they'd changed, got worse or anything (they haven't but I'd have liked the support and some reassurance). Anyway, at least I'm in, just wondering what to do about DS1 as grandparents are all on hols and DP will be at work. Looks like I'll have to take him with me.

choochooo lol @ dildocam. Been there! Did a double take when I first saw it. Do you think they are supplied by LoveHoney??

choochooo · 27/06/2017 10:57

That's brilliant pumbleton hopefully you'll get some answers!

Would be SO much more fun if they were supplied by lovehoney! Grin

Having now had so many dildocams I couldn't possibly count I do find I'm a bit immune! I just hop up on the bed now and resign myself to it! Doesn't hurt or anything though.

babayagga · 27/06/2017 11:48

Hello all - update: had my scan yesterday, saw heartbeat, head, body, etc (I am 8 weeks along). Massively relieved, and further reassured by continuing nausea, though it does make work tricky.

They did not give me a printout of the scan... Sad Are we supposed to ask for one?

Pumbleton - hope you are getting more clarity on things.

RainyDayBear · 27/06/2017 12:01

choochooo She's nearly 18 months. We don't tell her off when she chucks her bath toys in the bath, so I suppose she was just applying that same logic to the loo! Made me chuckle after I was done being sick at least!

Emwahs · 27/06/2017 12:36

choochooo love the term dildocam! Will used that one in future. Like you I have lost track of how many I have had. It doesn't bother me as like you said it doesn't hurt.

My sister is pregnant as well with her third and we are only 3 weeks apart. So get to also spend this exciting time with her. Being my first I am sure I will be able to ask her loads of questions

TriJo · 27/06/2017 13:23

choo My son is another fan of ducks in the loo... or just about anywhere else! He was throwing them around the bathroom last night at bath time.

Any other second (or more) timers having a much rougher time this time? I don't remember the nausea or fatigue being anywhere near as bad as this last time.

lookatthemoon · 27/06/2017 14:07

Me Trijo! The constipation was way worse last time (soz tmi!) but the non-stop nausea and feeling sick is so much worse this time. Just constant gloom.

Maybe we did feel like this last time but hormones made us forget or we are just more worn down running around after toddlers.

EmilyK83 · 27/06/2017 16:46

babayagga that's brilliant, you must be so happy and a lot more relieved now!!

Thattwatoverthere · 27/06/2017 17:12

babayagga congratulations! So glad it went well. I got given a copy of mine automatically with the paperwork detailing dates and measurements etc. Did you sit down with a nurse after the scan?

toots123 · 27/06/2017 18:56

Congrats everyone on the scans! Great to hear everything is going as it should be.

Symptoms are less this time. I was quite ill with DD and it was reassuring.
So I'm obviously worrying but the tiredness and slight cramping is keeping me in check.
Count down until I try a digi again for a 3+

PumbletonWakeshaft · 27/06/2017 19:40

babbayaga lovely news!

No change here, same symptoms, twiddling thumbs until tomorrow.

Never thought I would want the symptoms you are all describing! Such a strange feeling... Stay well, everyone Smile

Thattwatoverthere · 27/06/2017 19:52

Pumbleton I have everything crossed for you for tomorrow

babayagga · 27/06/2017 19:54

Thattwat - they gave me a piece of paper with info, but no photograph. Extreme NHS austerity?.. I'll be sure to ask for one next time.

Pumbleton - keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow.

PumbletonWakeshaft · 27/06/2017 20:07

thanks guys. Prepared for the worst but hoping for the best Smile

Thattwatoverthere · 27/06/2017 20:18

Definitely ask Babayagga! I had to ask what it all was so maybe they just felt sorry for me!

Best way to be Pumbleton 🤞

Pidgythe2nd · 27/06/2017 20:52

I'll second the feeling much worse 2nd and 3rd time.
I think it's because I'm that much more tired and I feel much sicker when I'm tired. Less chance to sit down and relax with my 2 crazies. Confused
I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself today. Work is shit, I've got no motivation and I'm so tired and nauseous, and to top it off DH is away with work for the rest of the week.

EmilyK83 · 27/06/2017 21:37

I asked for the photo...was told she wasn't supposed to give me one as there were others in the waiting room getting bad news, but she did and put it in an envelope and told me to put it in my bag till I got home...

EmilyK83 · 27/06/2017 21:38

I couldn't see much, but even this was a positive Smile

Loxy4527 · 27/06/2017 21:49

Hey all, checking in. Boobs have calmed down a little but I'm getting pretty fed up of feeling sick all the time. I've retched 2 or 3 times now but luckily it's been first thing in the morning or before bed. Terrified of it getting out of hand at work. Need to find something that's not crackers though as it's getting a bit conspicuous at work just nibbling dry cream crackers every 30 minutes.

Thattwatoverthere · 28/06/2017 07:26

I think that's clearer than mine Emily! I was really Hmm when I saw mine as couldn't make it out at all. Can't wait for the 12 week when it looks a bit more baby like
