Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

Hello, can I join you please? I got a very, very faint positive test yesterday and then did two more tests which were both negative. Have done another two this morning and both are faint positives, so think I am definitely pregnant. It's a slight surprise, (a good one), as, although we were meant to be TTC, we had been holding off and using one of those period tracker apps and never actually dtd during fertility window.

We already have a DD who is 2.5, so there will be just over three years between them, all going to plan.

Need to work out EDD, but think it will be around the beginning of February.

Sorry to read about previous losses Flowers. Also, good luck to you cookie!

Cookie1831 · 25/05/2017 07:17

Positive digital this morning hooray! What a panic stupid dilute wee (I couldn't hold any more any tested at 0400!)

Rockaby · 25/05/2017 07:24

cookie, I was up at 4:55 poas Grin. That's great news re your bfp. Congratulations!

lookatthemoon · 25/05/2017 07:35

I like 'tentatively hopeful' too!

Great news Cookie - but totally understand how you felt. I'm still POAS-ing even though I got my first BFP on Tues. Stupid I know.

Welcome Rockaby - similar to you there will be just under three years between this bean and DS!

Cookie1831 · 25/05/2017 07:49

Oh shit how rude I totally missed your post rockaby welcome and congrats xx

lookatthemoon · 25/05/2017 08:08

Does anyone have really strong symptoms yet? I am so tired I can barely function - and I haven't even officially missed AF yet! This is my fourth time being pregnant so I'm not really one to imagine symptoms but surely this is waay too early to feel like this?

With DS the real symptoms didn't hit until 6/7 weeks.

Rockaby · 25/05/2017 08:12

Thanks for welcomes!

Haha not at all cookie! I hadn't even noticed. Certainly didn't think you were being rude Smile.

No symptoms here yet except mild back ache, the odd headache and maybe being a bit more forgetful than usual, but nothing concrete like sickness etc. I am tired, but I often am anyway. I think I started to feel sick with DD at around 6 weeks.

pretzelpieces · 25/05/2017 08:51

rockaby how many dpo are you? Perhaps it'll be a clearer result later on? Everything crossed for you.

cookie hooray for a positive! I'm going to poas again today now to see if the line is darker than Sunday bad influence Wink

look I felt sick right from the start with DD. My only symptom so far is serious nursing aversion. Gritting my teeth feeding her right now!

Thanks pretzel.

I have no idea how many dpo I am, but I my period was due on Tuesday, I think. If memory serves, I had a very faint positive at around the same time with DD, so much so that I thought I wasn't pregnant, but anemic! DH came home to me cooking beef, which I wouldn't normally eat, as I thought my iron levels were so low my periods had stopped Grin. Turned out it was DD Smile. I'm hoping it will be the same this time, but I do have it in the back of my mind that it could turn out to be a chemical pregnancy. Fingers crossed.

I'll poas again on Saturday morning, (hopefully not quite so early in the morning this time)!

pretzelpieces · 25/05/2017 09:17

rockaby Ah, so hopefully it's normal for you. My tests are quite light at this stage too, gave myself a scare looking at other people's but reminded myself we're all different, you can only compare your tests with your own tests!

cookie well I poas this morning and it is darker so I am appeased Smile

The nausea has started and I'm about to get on a bus with DD Confused

Oh bless you pretzel, that's bad luck! Hope you made it to where you are going without... um... incident!

lookatthemoon · 25/05/2017 11:33

Good luck Pretzel!! I hope it's a smooth journey. My right boob feels like it is going to explode. The symptoms are reassuring I suppose. I've also been worried about how light my test lines are but it is still early days for us all!

Cookie1831 · 25/05/2017 11:45

Oh bless you pretzel hope you don't vom xxx I stupidly would love some morning sickness didn't have with either of my boys and would reassure me (obvs I doubt I will be saying that if I do!) I have sore boobs, peeing more often and my lady bits feels a bit sore no discharg or anything though
Have booked myself a private scan for when I am 7 weeks because I am an impatient crazy lady!!

lookatthemoon · 25/05/2017 12:11

I'm also going for an early 'reassurance' scan Cookie. Just focusing on making it that far first!

scottishbride · 25/05/2017 14:01

O Pretzel, hope the bus ride went well.
Glad you got a good digital result this morning Cookie!!
Hi Rockaby, nice to meet you! I'm not too sure when my period was due because I'm still breastfeeding so they have been a bit sporadic!

No real symptoms here, as I said before, with ds I was in bed for 5 weeks totally exhausted but don't feel that bad now!

Tempted by a reassurance scan but cos I'm so unsure of dates don't want to go too early!! Plus we are on holiday what could be week 8 and if we have bad news at scan the week before it will ruin the holiday! Hmmm

Cookie1831 · 25/05/2017 15:11

Yeah it's difficult, I am staying with family the week after and they will know straight away if I am not drinking so would like to see a wee heartbeat before I am forced to announce it!

NoParticularPattern · 25/05/2017 20:55

Hi ladies! Tentatively joining here.

Got my BFP yesterday (I'm still in shock- no reason why I tested really!!) after a MC in July and a wait to TTC until closer to our wedding this July.

LMP puts my EDD at 31st Jan but I think I'm happier with you ladies who are much closer in terms of weeks etc if that's ok?

I'd love to have an early scan, but it was at an early scan last time that we started to realise things weren't going to plan so I'm actually quite scared that it will burst the bubble. I'm not doing any more tests and won't ask for a scan, then at least until I know otherwise I'm pregnant and that's fine! Ignorance is bliss and all that!!

Rockaby · 25/05/2017 21:00

Hi noparticular! Congratulations!

Sorry to read about your MC last year Flowers.

31 January is actually my edd too. I worked it out earlier.

I went two weeks overdue last time though, so I assume, if I go full term, this one will arrive some time in early February.

Hope it makes sense to everyone that I stay on this thread.

KimmySchmidt1 · 25/05/2017 21:41

Hi all ! Had a positive test last night and six weeks since start of last period. Very excited! First pregnancy. Husband delighted! Good luck all!

carbqueen88 · 25/05/2017 21:54

EDD around end of Jan or early Feb I think...
First day of last period was 21/4/17 and think we conceived on our honeymoon 3 weeks ago?!

Been to docs today not particularly helpful.

Gave me a mobile number for the midwife told to call tomorrow

Asked for an early scan as had a blighted ovum several years ago (and suffer with anxiety) so could really do with knowing everything is ok.

Lots of symptoms though! Sore boobs, tired, weeing all the time so hoping all ok xxx

pretzelpieces · 25/05/2017 22:05

Welcome pattern and kimmy

Of course late Jan dates are welcome! Not that it's up to me in particular.

Mumsnet lost my first iteration of this post and I've forgotten what else I was going to say.

I'm also still breastfeeding, Scottish, really not enjoying it at the moment because she's bitey but I'm sure it'll pass. Teething again I hope. I won't have any nips left for the second one!

I'm tempted by an early scan too, hoping I get that far.

Hello can I join?
And can I ask......what date do you think you conceived?
Based on first day of last period, I'm due mid January......but think conceived around end of April which would mean early Feb due date?
Maybe?
Help haha
