Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

Hi ladies, hope you're all enjoying the bank holiday weekend?!

I've had some brown CM for the last couple of days so I'm absolutely terrified that this will just turn out to be a chemical or I'll miscarry the exact same as before as that's how it started last time! I have no symptoms, only the lack of a period and the positive test to tell me I'm pregnant. Very very worried and overly emotional here right now. I just so desperately wanted this one to be ok, for it to go smoothly and not end in miscarriage again but it's not looking that likely I don't think!

Wishing the rest of you ladies all the best with your pregnancies.

Pidgythe2nd · 28/05/2017 20:34

Thinking of you pattern and hoping it's all ok.
Such a worrying time. Flowers

scottishbride · 28/05/2017 21:29

Hand holding pattern
There really is no way of knowing what is round the corner, I had brown blood with my miscarriage but also with ds pregnancy. The limbo is horrible, look after yourself xx

pretzelpieces · 28/05/2017 22:48

sjjr Welcome! It's dated from the first day of your last period, but I think it assumes a 28 day cycle (which obviously not everyone has). They'll set your due date at the 12 week scan based on the size of the baby, a lot of people's due dates get adjusted at that point so I wouldn't worry too much.

Welcome rain! We're due date buddies, and I also feel like my booking in appointment is eons away. Not till I'm 9 weeks.

Oh cookie that's sad news Sad, sorry I am just catching up. I wish you all the luck for the future.

Welcome pickled, and pidgy - sorry for your previous loss.

Welcome hester, fingers crossed for you.

Welcome catdog, bit jealous of your strong line, mine is getting darker but would be reassured by a very dark line!

Good pledge moon, I have started testing again and it's probably the route to madness. Maybe I should take pidgy's advice and chuck out the internet charlies Wink

Scottish I'm not enjoying breastfeeding at the moment because she chews my nipples, leaving teeth marks, I am gritting my teeth through the feeds. I'm just hoping it's a phase? But I'm also dairy and soya free for her for her allergies and a bit worried how I'll manage that with gestational diabetes, so weaning might need to be on the horizon either way. It seems a shame though. Good luck with the night weaning, I think those will probably be the last to go here!

Welcome salt! Good luck with the stealth non drinking.

vocal hopefully it's just those stretchy womb happenings that are all good!

Welcome sanchez!

Offering a hand hold, pattern, hopefully the brown blood is not something of concern, but it must be scary to see. Everything crossed for you.

Not much to report here. I've got a head cold and have a bit of paranoia that being ill will make my body think now is not a good time to grow a baby!

Oh Pattern I hope all goes ok. When I started spotting with my mc my Obstetrician put me on progesterone. It didn't work for me but it can work in some cases. Might be worth a try?! x

Rockaby · 29/05/2017 08:11

Offering another hand to hold pattern. I don't want to give you false hope, but I am another one who had some red spotting and cramps too, but went on to have a healthy pregnancy.

tailspin · 29/05/2017 10:05

Can I join? Just had a positive test... Have only done one but there's no false positives, right? All feels a bit surreal! It's only the second cycle that we've tried, didn't think it would happen this fast! I think we conceived 15-16 days ago!

Sanchezwasntdirty · 29/05/2017 10:30

Fingers crossed for you pattern!

Tailspin a bfp is a bfp... no such thing as a false positive, congratulations! X

pickledprogress · 29/05/2017 10:40

Morning all and hi to the recently positives! Peed on my last cheapie this morning - deffo positive - can't get head round it. Had no morning sickness last time til week 8 but already feeling exhausted ( may have had a nap already today) and iffy - is it too soon for this do you think? Wonder if it's in my head!!

pretzelpieces · 29/05/2017 14:11

Welcome tailspin. Agree that a bfp is a bfp! Your eggo is preggo Wink

pickled Not necessarily just in your head - I had morning sickness from before my bfp with DD. I feel awful at the moment but I'm putting that down to the rotten cold (suspect there is some hormonal stuff going on too though).

Howaboutthismonth · 29/05/2017 15:24

Hi everyone. Please may I join? Got my first ever bfp on Thursday and still feeling quite shell shocked! Working out dates I think, all being well, I would be due very late January but thought I would pop on and say Hello here as the Jan 2018 board seems to be fully established.
This is all brand new to me. I am anxious and worried. I did a test on Thursday and another on Saturday. Sounds silly I know but as I feel no different, no symptoms, nothing, I am thinking if something was to go wrong at the early stage, would I even know about it?! Excuse the perhaps daft question!? This is all brand new to me x

pickledprogress · 29/05/2017 18:11

Howabout when are you due? I'm sometime from 28th Jan to 2nd Feb so thought this group would be a better fit Smile I had no symptoms in my last pregnancy until week 8 - then was sick daily for 20ods weeks Confused
pattern hope today has been okay for you!

Howaboutthismonth · 29/05/2017 18:16

Hi thanks for reply. Based on last period I think I am due on or around January 27?? Is the 12 week scan counted from last period or ovulation date?
Just have a million and one questions going on in my head!! xx

NoParticularPattern · 29/05/2017 18:25

Hope all you ladies are doing well, nice to see some new faces here!

Howabout I'm also end of Jan but likewise saw how far on that board was so jumped in here as I think these ladies will be much more similar dates and worries wise to us! I'm also lacking in symptoms really, but my nipples have started to be sore and I am definitely more tired than normal so fingers crossed it's just going to be an easy pregnancy!

Thanks for the hand holds and good wishes ladies. I've not had any more brown CM since yesterday morning so I'm hoping that's the end of it! I know from my MC that I had a cervical ectropion whilst pregnant last time, which my consultant said would likely happen in subsequent pregnancies. So I'm clinging onto the hope that it's just that again. I've also started testing every morning to see what happens to my lines and they still seem to be getting darker, which has reassured me that it's probably not a chemical as they're too strong for that. So maybe some late implantation bleeding or perhaps some cervical irritation. I'm going to ring the docs tomorrow anyway and hopefully try to get an appointment this week with the lovely doctor I saw after my MC about my screwy cycles with a view to potentially getting an early scan booked I would hope.

Wow sorry that was long!!

Howaboutthismonth · 29/05/2017 18:30

Thanks pickled and pattern for your replies :)
Congrats to all in your positive tests!
Such an exciting / nervy time, I just had no idea I'd be scrutinising every little tiny pain or feeling I have !!
Keeping fingers crossed and ringing up to make a docs appt in the morning

scottishbride · 29/05/2017 19:18

O pattern, keeping everything crossed for you, stronger lines is definitely a good sign!
Hello howabout hope you are a lucky lady with no symptoms all pregnancy!

pretzel my little one is not really enjoying no milk overnight but we've done 3 or 4 nights now so my dh says we just need to stick it out- easy for him to say while I'm trying for over an hour to settle without boob!
Have just booked a scan for 7 weeks, eeeek

emwithme · 29/05/2017 19:28

Hi guys!

Got my BFP this morning, due date from LMP is 5 February (which is 9 days before my 41st birthday, so hopefully I'll have a baby while I'm 40!)

Very nervous about all this, had a MC in March (started bleeding at 7+1, scanned, measured 5+4 but sent away saying all OK, just one of those things, bleeding didn't stop, a week later re-scan showed empty sac). So all the "yay" thoughts this time round are tinged with the "what if it doesn't work out" thoughts. I am trying to keep thinking "today, I am pregnant" though.

Howaboutthismonth · 29/05/2017 19:32

Hi emewithme and congrats!
Thanks scottish yes fingers crossed. To be honest I would rather have some sort of symptoms if only to start to believe I'm pregnant and still pregnant!! I had some cramping for a couple of days (at night actually) after my bfp but since then all disappeared. So confused and anxious! I know it's still early days but just a hint of a symptom would be welcome right now ! x

Sanchezwasntdirty · 29/05/2017 19:37

Pattern I've had some very light spotting which stopped day before yesterday so hand holding! I've been trying not going to worry about it too much but it is hard.

Anyone else had any symptoms... I've never felt so bloated in my life!

pretzelpieces · 29/05/2017 20:03

scottish Oh yeah, DD screams if my partner so much as tries to comfort her at night, it's only me she wants and only milk! Hope it works out for you all.

em sorry for your previous loss, I hope this one works out for you. It's an anxious time for sure.

sanchez I've definitely got the bloat Confused

Sanchezwasntdirty · 29/05/2017 20:15

Pretzel I've deflated a bit today for the first time but my god I felt enormous yesterday!

Iamchanging · 29/05/2017 21:53

Hi ladies,
Do you mind if I join? I'm another late Jan EDD but the Jan board is so established with people up to almost 10 weeks that I don't really relate, and it's making me more nervous!
I've also got the extreme bloat, usually after I eat and slightly tender breasts but that's it. Got my 3+ on a CB digital today though which made me feel a bit happier!

Firsttimeandclueless · 29/05/2017 21:56

Hi everyone!

I just got my BFP this morning but at 11dpo, I'm still treating it with caution!

Probably going to be POAS every day for the next two weeks before it sinks in. 😂

Lovely to meet you all! Fingers crossed for a safe and healthy nine months!

lookatthemoon · 30/05/2017 02:11

Hello new bfps!

My symptoms are less this week than last week so now I am thinking the tiredness was something else last week!

My boobs are still a bit sore though and I just noticed that one is now bigger than the other 😳
