Looks like I'm going to have to tell work sooner than I'd hoped....
Ironically it's my turn to work in a department pregnant women can't work in!!!! I'm only 5+4 but I can't see how I can't tell them!

@Rosehyd2 I told work. My nausea was (still is) horrendous. Had no sympathy originally as my boss is female but childless but then heard me vomiting in the loo on more than one occasion so is a bit lenient if I come late to work after the rush hour or leave early and have had the occasional day working from home as it's so bad!

@ndo4000 same here. Just vomited up my bowl of cornflakes I had in the office earlier 🤢

@coragreta I was wide awake at 4 this morning too!!

@Rosy I had to tell work early too as am part time living in another country at the moment and needed lots of time off for appointments when in the uk, they have been totally understanding. However you know your boss/company so definitely have a good think or maybe ask someone you know with kids there?

After my lovely scan yday I've woken up with brown discharge/spotting - nice reminder from my body not to get too comfortable. Havent told DH yet and am just taking it very easy today. Have googled extensively (of course!) and it is when my period would have been due so am hoping it's related to that and nothing to be worried about...

Pickledsauage I had spotting in my last pregnancy roughly when period would be due and have had it this time. It's always worrying but definitely can be normal.

My sickness has been bad today and was sick twice in work. I'm a teacher so it's not always easy to leave the class room so dreading next few weeks. Scan on Sat and praying for good needs. Feel sick even thinking about it.

Sorry I haven't checked in recently! Fantastic news on the early scans, I just can't wait to go for a scan now but I'll just be having the normal one at 11-13 weeks. Apparently my trust like to do it at nearer 11 weeks so fingers crossed.

Ahh thanks @waiting, that makes me feel better. I'm feeling fairly calm, have done next to nothing today (luckily am off work!) and it seems to have stopped. Seeing them only yesterday is making me feel better too. Fingers crossed everything is fine! I hope your sickness passes soon...hats off to you teaching!!!

I'm the same with nausea, feel really sick and off food but not actually sick. DH had fish and chips for tea the other night and I had a piece of toast! Saves calories I suppose!
Anyone else struggling to sleep? I'm 9+1 and have been so tired I've dropped straight off for the past dew weeks but recently I'm waking up in the night and struggling to get back to sleep.

Thanks! Its been lovely going through the thread and seeing the early scan pics! I too had an early scan at 6 weeks at my EPU as I had bleeding and quite severe cramping but luckily baby was fine and had a heart beat. It was a rather large cycst causing pain so I'm hoping that's at least decreased in size now!

I have an early scan booked for 10th June when I'll be 10 weeks and I am so scared even though I've seen a heartbeat and I'm in a state of panic every time I go the toilet!

These first 12 weeks are such a long, anxious and worrying time! X

Only my second post here and definitely a random one but any one else constantly being cold? DESPITE in bed when I'm far too hot to get comfy.

Nausea and being cold is definitely not the fun part of this but after 6 miscarriages with not many symptoms I'm grateful for any

AmandaP I know what you mean; I miscarried at 10 weeks last time and I'm 10 weeks today, and a complete wreck with anxiety! And my EPU nurse said the same about early measurements, that it's quite common for them to be adjusted by a week or even 10 days by the 12 week scan, so don't take an early scan as gospel anyway. Just keep thinking about that wee heartbeat--today, you are pregnant

Oh meant to ask, does anyone else have a scan on the 16th? Scan buddies?

Thanks @WLMcI I am shittinh myself !! I don't know whether to get another scan at 10 weeks either through EPU (I work in maternity so I know the girls) or privately or just hang it out until 12 weeks 😏 don't know what to do ahhh x

Omg I've just taken my trousers off and suddenly developed thread veins all of the tops of my thighs! I didn't expect that to happen!

@AmandaP86x i understand completely the feelings you are going through. I find the scans give me little goals to reach mentally if you know what I mean. It's such a long slog this part. Do whatever helps get you through 😊

@Issywizzybelle I was absolutely freezing all the time for a couple of weeks there, it was the strangest thing. I'm 8+3 today and haven't had it for the past week or so I'd say. I just could not get warm at all! Hope it passes for you soon.

I'm still bleeding, but trying to get used to it now. I need to stop with the negative association in my mind I think. Not easy at all! Next scan is a week today, cannot come quick enough.

My scans on June 26th. I should be exactly 12 weeks then if I've calculated right.

Is anyone else enormous?? This is my second pregnancy and I'm the same size as I was at 20 weeks last time. I'm not even 9 weeks yet!! My bump is solid as well
