Yeah eva same on both sides and not really any other symptoms. I had pain on one side the other week but that has passed. I've had some shooting pain in hips but I think that's ligament pain and I've been very bloated but I'm sure this is something separate to that because the swelling is underneath the bloat, if that makes sense, and it's definitely two definate swellings either side where as the bloat is one big mass! 😂

Thanks Thingy I thought it might be something like that but didn't know if it could be visible like mine are and also on both sides? Do you think I should go to gp or should I be ok to wait till midwife appointment next week if it's not harmful?

Thingymaboob · 22/05/2017 20:34

@Maybebaby2
I think I'd leave it unless you've got pain / bleeding. You must be slim to feel something. I'm a but fat so can't feel a thing. Plus I have a very retroverted uterus so get all my pain in the back. I've got pain on / off both sides but know I've only got something on right. It's all very weird.

I am currently hating being pregnant, which I know I shouldn't as this is a much wanted baby. I feel like crap, my anxiety levels have shot through the roof! I'm cleaning door knobs for fear of toxoplasmosis as my DH touched them after litter tray but before hand washing and I did some gardening in cat faeces soil when I was 3 weeks. I am fixated about it and I'm worried to death. I really hope the midwife will agree to have me tested.

Maybebaby2 · 22/05/2017 20:55

I am quite slim (not for much longer) so maybe that why I can see them. Strange that they are on both sides though, maybe I ovulated from both sides and it's twins!! 😂

I'm with you on the hating pregnancy thing, I've wanted this for so long but I feel so crappy! It's so stressful and hard to not panic about every tiny thing, need to get to 12 weeks and then hopefully relax a bit. Is the test for toxoplasmosis something they will offer if you ask for it?

Usernamegone · 22/05/2017 21:01

I've booked in for a private scan on Sat when I should be 8 weeks exactly (based on LMP). It was £89 but was the only place in my city which I could find which does early scans.

Nausea has kicked in today as well!

robindeer · 22/05/2017 21:04

Hi ladies, can I join? Feels like tempting fate as it's very early days (bfp on Saturday so on 4wks) but I'm frantically googling symptoms and running back and forward to the loo checking for blood Blush

This would be dc2 and edd is 28th Jan.

CuddledUpWithMyCat · 22/05/2017 21:18

Sorry others are worrying but I am glad I am not the only anxious one. I suppose I need to arrange to see my midwife soon.

RedPanda25 · 22/05/2017 21:19

Can I join please! Just got my bfp today and due date is 25th Jan (ish!) this is my second dc and I'm very excited! Been throwing up since about 12 days ago so had a feeling I was pregnant but didn't test positive until today!

weasledee · 22/05/2017 21:24

Looking for reassurance! 4+1 and I have period type pains and mild backache.... even writing that sounds really bad! I'm hoping someone can tell me they had the same in early pregnancy and it turned out ok.....

Fattycowagain · 22/05/2017 21:43

weasle those pains are normal!

Ruthcarr1990 · 22/05/2017 21:50

@weasledee I had back ache. Just take it easy if u have it in a week or so I'd get in touch with the Ely at your local hospital and see if they can book you in for an early scan. It's so nerve racking this early stage. Just try and stay calm and don't stress too much Smilexx

weasledee · 22/05/2017 21:56

Thanks for replying, I've taken myself off to bed and going to hope for the best x

AmandaP86x · 22/05/2017 21:56

Hi girls do u mind if I join for some advice..

My stats r

Age 28
TTC#2
Baby 1
BFP achieved 15/5
EDD - Jan sometime lol
Think im about 6 weeks exactly today.

Iv been quite crampy and twingeY - I spoke to midwife today at EPU. She said the most common cause of cramps lower abdo pain in early pregnancy is actually ur bowel. She said everything slows down and that's why u end up so bloated etc (which I am ad I'm sure some of you have said same) she said to keep an eye on it & up my fibre & try some peppermint tea.

Not going to lie it's fine today - but in turn is that making me freak more I cannot win.

Was anyone else like this early on xxx

purplechoc · 22/05/2017 22:06

@weasledee I've had light period like cramps for the last few weeks, since before my period was due. I obviously associate those cramps with bleeding so it does make me worry but it's all entirely normal. I think if they become very painful or you do bleed then it's worth getting checked out, but otherwise it's just a lot of changes going on!

Maybebaby2 · 22/05/2017 22:12

Hi Amanda Yeah I've been really constipated an have just got Fybogel which was recommended and prune juice (not been brave enough to try the prune juice yet) I've used Peppermint tea for a while to help stomach cramps caused by ibs and it does help. It is scary because any cramps and and discomfort caused by the bowel is felt around the abdomen so it's easy to to panic and think it's something else but I really do think it is common so try not to worry. I think someone else also recommend Lactose.

Maybebaby2 · 22/05/2017 22:13

Lactulos not lactos!

Maybebaby2 · 22/05/2017 22:14

Lactulose even! 😂

embo1 · 22/05/2017 22:31

Can I be added please? EDD 7th Jan

Ruthcarr1990 · 22/05/2017 22:39

@Maybebaby2 if your taking lactulose you need to drink loads more water. It takes fluid out of your body and put it in your poo (sorry for tmi lol). I had lactulose and it didn't help me. I ended up on fiber Jel. Xx

Maybebaby2 · 22/05/2017 22:50

Thanks ruth I've not tried lactulose yet just someone recommended it. I've just started Fybogel but it's not made any difference yet! Good tip though so Amanda if you try lactulose make sure you drink plenty of water, which will naturally help with the bloating too.

Fattycowagain · 23/05/2017 06:39

Just 9 hours and 21 minutes until my scan...

star1980 · 23/05/2017 07:05

Good luck fatty. Hope the spotting stopped.

FromHackneyWithLove · 23/05/2017 07:09

Haha @Fattycowagain I'm imagining your chart is looking pretty thoroughly scribbled on by now then! Keep us posted, hope all is well Smile

RedPanda25 · 23/05/2017 07:19

Good luck @Fattycowagain!

Re lactulose I used it in my first pregnancy and it helped me loads but I did drink lots of water with it. Hope it eases soon @Maybebaby2.

WLMcI · 23/05/2017 07:32

Good luck with the scan Fattycowagain!

I also have the digestion of an 80-year-old now Grin and I'm just eating plenty of soft fruit to help. Smoothies weren't settling well so I've given up the prunes (I hate them on their own), but thank god strawberries are in season now! I was much worse a couple weeks ago (I'm 8+5) so I hope it calms for everyone else as it did for me; now digestion seems to be slowed down, but not constantly constipated! And for those with mild cramping, I find it's mostly after I eat (particularly dinner) and it's definitely digestion-related too, so I've made meals smaller and having lots of snacks to help keep nausea away as well. Hope that helps!

Rosehyd2 · 23/05/2017 08:08

I'm 5+4 and think I'm holding back the sickness today but no doubt it'll come soon as I feel awful. How do you all cope with this, especially at work? I'm in an open plan office.
