Glad the scan was all good Carlotta they just date based on the average baby's size so it sounds like your one is bigger at the moment if your date is before your LMP. Usually they do the dating scan at 12 weeks because that is the most accurate time to gauge sizewise.

Hi newmum

Lolabee · 20/05/2017 18:13

Hi all. Not been on for a couple of days so thought I'd better check in. New thread already!!!!

Just under 2 weeks to wait for 12 week scan on 1st June and really nervous for some reason. Just petrified something will be wrong.

Symptoms are hit and miss, not liking the new one of constipation... that's horrid, tried lactulose and threw it straight back up....minging (actually it tasted better coming up)

Hope everyone else is doing OK. I'm trying to find the motivation for tackling the ironing pile.......it's not happening 😂

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 20/05/2017 19:40

@CuddledUpWithMyCat Congratulations  exciting news!

@CarlottaJo Woo hoo! Bet that was amazing to see!

Hello everyone who's just joined or to whom I haven't said hi yet! Smile

Mrsbluebell17 · 20/05/2017 20:36

Evening all. How you all doing today?

Royalsteph · 20/05/2017 20:54

I've just eaten a huge massive plate of Chinese and could eat more. Not even ashamed. Belly is v.v big now, but going to enjoy my food baby bump while it lasts Grin
Ds is 2 tomorrow so sorting his presents and balloons ready for him getting up in the morning

Mrsbluebell17 · 20/05/2017 21:39

Sounds good Steph. We have managed to get some vegetables into meals in the last 24 hours so I'm not doing tooooo bad finally. Had some smoothie this morning too. However I have felt more sick today than I have for a few days.

So tired again too. Glad Of some symptoms to be honest though, makes me feel like I'm doing something right with growing this baby!

glastogal · 20/05/2017 21:44

Anyone off to the baby show tomorrow? The timing is pretty rubbish but we are treating it as a research mission! No buying, but hopefully it will help us make some decisions 😁

Glasto we talked about it. My friend who's a few months further along went on Friday and said there's discounts on most things so worth going if you have lots of bigger items to purchase.

We might go to the London one in October but may not as are thinking of getting a lot of stuff second hand.

You'll have to let us know how you get on? I imagine it'll be good to look at and try out prams.

ScotsLamb · 20/05/2017 21:55

I ended up making baked potatoes for dinner tonight instead of take away. Had some onion and tomato salad with it. Felt queasy half way through but finished it all now. I'm going to aim to not be hungry at all tomorrow and see if that helps nausea.
My portion size is much smaller than normal and I think my dad was suspicious last weekend. He will be super suspicious if I hardly eat anything at Sunday lunch again tomorrow.

Oh and to add to the confusion the pregnancy test we initially took is missing in action. We have no idea where it went so not sure if it fell out of my pocket and my mum picked it up or OH Mum picked it up or landlord picked it up but we are sure someone knows but hasn't let on yet. Trying to work out who is watching is super closely.

glastogal · 20/05/2017 22:03

That's what we thought mrsB we really want to make a short list of prams so we can keep our eyes peeled for deals over the summer/autumn. Need to keep my mum in check tomorrow.. she has already threatened to get out the credit card for a good deal but I worry about buying anything before my scan (on Monday - typical!!)

Ooh, intrigue Scots!! At least they are keeping quiet if someone did pick up your test!! Guess you will find out soon 😁

Thanks dirty.

Mrsbluebell17 · 20/05/2017 22:35

That's good that your mum wants to help glasto but I do understand your reservations. I'm seeing friends next week at 11+1 and I'm desperate to tell them but I want to wait until 12 weeks too.

Scots that sounds interesting. Like glasto says though it's good that someone is respecting your privacy.

Mrsbluebell17 · 20/05/2017 22:35

Welcome to the newbies - sorry I missed a few along the way today with the messages!

mamalovesviolet · 20/05/2017 23:01

I've spent all evening just lying in bed. Eaten the biggest bowl of bran flakes known to man. A whole bag of kettle chips. Some country slices. I feel so eugh now! This eating needs to slow down at some point haha

Mrsbluebell17 · 20/05/2017 23:05

Mamaloves that sounds like me most days!! Crunchy nut cornflakes are my latest fad!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 20/05/2017 23:23

Spoke too soon re morning sickness - nausea crept on me this afternoon and then hit with a vengeance again this evening! Confused strangely reassuring but also 🤢

Mrsbluebell17 · 21/05/2017 02:02

Argh why can't I sleep EnvySad

Lixon · 21/05/2017 02:53

I'm with you mrsbluebell! Got woken at 1 by someone screaming outside and can't get back to sleep!

Congratulations on your scan Carlotta!

Welcome newmum and cuddledup!

Mrsbluebell17 · 21/05/2017 05:57

Lixon I hope you got back to sleep. I think I've drifted in and out of sleep but seen nearly every hour. Frustrating but at least I got some sleep eventually.

Mumoftheark · 21/05/2017 06:11

Thanks all.
Yes @Lixon yes it was a private clinic.
I'm now pretty angry about it.
The sonographer was pretty sure of her diagnoses her words were "you need to go to A&E immediately as if it bursts it will kill you" & then joked that my £34 groupon offer scan may have saved my life.
Bit dramatic if you're not 110% sure! Spent 4 hours thinking I was knocking on deaths door ffs 😡 she didn't even say it could be a range of things but she needs to rule it out.

Anyway as always NHS we're lovely, I was reassured before they even scanned me. Feel bad because I was put to the front of the queue in A&E & then again in the EPU for no bloody reason.

Anyway hopefully that's as eventful as my pregnancy gets lol.

Welcome to the group those who have just joined. Xxx

Mrsbluebell17 · 21/05/2017 06:49

Hope you're feeling better about it all today mumoftheark. Can't believe what you had to go through but so relieved everything is ok.

TipTop333 · 21/05/2017 07:17

Mumoftheark unbelievable. To be so sure about something that actually wasn't there?! No. They should have definitely said something is there and please get checked out just in case.

Now I'm craving bran flakes mamalovesviolet!

Ooh that reminds me, has anyone seen they've brought out peanut butter clusters crunchy nut cornflakes?? Must try asap!

Peachi82 · 21/05/2017 07:34

Good morning!
Had a very mixed evening with delicious lasagne and puking Sad
But we managed to watch a film together and went to bed after 10 - very proud of myself Halo

I think my puking is related to not enough food, so if I wait too long between meals/snacks, I just get ridiculously sick.

Peachi82 · 21/05/2017 07:35

Sorry, my emoticon managements is just out of control!! Never meant to use these two.

Mrsbluebell17 · 21/05/2017 07:44

Just tried to doze off again and I had that feeling where I wasn't quite asleep but I panicked and couldn't wake myself again. Does anyone know what I mean? It's horrible Sad
