Carlotta, that's ace Grin
So can't wait and really hope it'll be all OK! I really want to start looking forward to this baby, but can't really do yet.

TipTop333 · 20/05/2017 12:26

Mumoftheark thinking of you. How terrifying. FlowersFlowers

Oysterbabe · 20/05/2017 12:40

So every single time I speak to my mum she asks me when we're going to have a second and I say probably quite soon and she makes comments along the lines of tick tock and you're not getting any younger. Just told her and her immediate response: Was it planned? 🤔

Angielka · 20/05/2017 12:42

Sending you positive vibes mumoftheark sounds terrifying. Flowers

Angielka · 20/05/2017 12:47

To everyone struggling with sickness and beige eating habits hang in there! I'm 12 weeks today, have eaten fruit and veg and not been sick for two days (after vomiting 1-5 times a day for nearly six weeks.) I never thought I'd feel human again and yet already I am questioning whether it was really that bad!! Even thinking of starting to ride my bike again since I feel confident I won't get dizzy/vomit in the street anymore. Hang on in there Smile

Angielka · 20/05/2017 12:48

Ha ha oysterbabe mums are the best! Star

pauseplayrepeat · 20/05/2017 13:14

Hope you get seen quickly mumoftheark and get some answers soon.

Mrsbluebell17 · 20/05/2017 13:14

Mumoftheark I keep thinking about you. I hope everything is ok. Keep us posted. Xx

ScotsLamb · 20/05/2017 14:35

Mumoftheark I did manage to get back to sleep. Awake again at 5am but managed a wee power nap at 11. Not sure how people cope with other kids and being pregnant! Fingers crossed for you.

Mumoftheark · 20/05/2017 14:53

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for your messages and support today.

I've been seen and everything looks fine :) they think what they were seeing was a cyst which isn't uncommon. The doctor was furious that I was told it was a possible heterotpic pregnancy. She said they are very rare - you may see one every 10 years, and even by doing an external scan there's no way she would have come to that conclusion, & can't understand why I've been scared half to death. Bean is measuring 7+6 by NHS 8+1 by private and 8+2 by LMP nice strong heartbeat. Everything looks good.

It's been a very scary day to say the least!

ScotsLamb · 20/05/2017 15:40

That's such good news! So pleased for you.

Mrsbluebell17 · 20/05/2017 15:42

Glad to hear all is ok after all mumoftheark. Sorry to hear you had such a scare though.
Hope you can relax now this afternoon.

I was doing a load of work all morning and this afternoon I've had a meltdown and ended up back in bed feeling exhausted and really sick Hmm

Meeshel29 · 20/05/2017 15:45

How do I get on the fb group?

Meeshel29 · 20/05/2017 15:47

they also asked if I wanted a blood test to check for abnormalities .... I said yes ok but now I don't know. Is anyone else having. This blood test during the 12 wk scan?

Mrsbluebell17 · 20/05/2017 15:59

Meeshel Yes I'm going to have all the tests as I like to know what's going on.

Angielka · 20/05/2017 16:01

Mumoftheark such a relief!

Meeshel yes, had this done yesterday. Like bluebell I like to know as much as possible

ScotsLamb · 20/05/2017 16:10

Meeshel I think I can add you to fb group if you send your email address.

ScotsLamb · 20/05/2017 16:11

Or message Tiptop333

Lixon · 20/05/2017 16:54

So relieved to hear that mumoftheark, have been thinking about you all afternoon. Was it a private clinic that "diagnosed" it? You must be so traumatised. X

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 20/05/2017 17:10

@Mumoftheark I got so worried when I read your earlier message!! Really glad that everything is ok - thanks for updating us immediately! X

Peachi82 · 20/05/2017 17:22

Mumoftheark, glad it was a false alarm!

I'm not having any of the blood tests for anomalies, because I know it wouldn't have a consequence for my pregnancy. No needle in my womb and no reconsidering. But this is just me. It's just with every test you need to be prepared to deal with the consequences and you might be pushed into more examinations than you actually want. But as I said, just my 2 cents.

CuddledUpWithMyCat · 20/05/2017 17:25

Hello everyone.

I've just got my positive and although my technical due date will be the start of January, I've always given birth at least two weeks earlier so expecting similar and probably will have a Christmas Day arrival knowing my luck.

CarlottaJo · 20/05/2017 17:34

Scan all good! I've grown arms and legs and the baby moved on screen! Not as slick a set up as the last private place I went to but a relief all the same.

Now, a question, she measured little blob at 10+3, how can they date you to before your LMP?

Newmumsinta · 20/05/2017 17:36

Hello. I'm new on mumsnet. I'm presently 9 weeks and I have my scan next week when I'm 10weeks. I'm really looking forward to it. This is my first pregnancy and I have been so amazed and excited about what is going on inside me. Although I feel nauseous most evenings and can't stand so many things but I'm just sooo excited!

CarlottaJo · 20/05/2017 17:38

@Meeshel29 I think screening tests are really personal, did they give you any literature to read? I think it's a good idea to read up and find out what they entail and what the next step to a high risk screening result could be, of course at all points you can decide not to investigate any further. There really is no right or wrong answer and a million different reasons why each person does what they do. Hopefully you can get some good information to make a fully informed choice that's right for you. If you haven't been given any info then the NHS national screening website is a good place to start xxx
