Evening! Sorry for the silence today, we had a busy day with some study work, lunch at a local food festival thing then on to a house party tonight with DHs friends so I drove. Not long been home. I'm shattered but it's been nice. Tomorrow I have more study and then onto a baby shower.
I succumbed, after getting a sore back from sleeping funny, and ordered a big U pregnancy pillow and it arrived today. Wish me luck for tonight .

Congrats on the boy lixon. I think you're our first in the group to have a gender confirmation aren't you? That's exciting!

Also congrats to beemama. That's a lovely scan picture.

How is everyone else? Any proud food moments from anyone this weekend? I nearly passed out in a queue for a food stall earlier but luckily was ok after a short while.

Congrats lixon and bee! We get our SAFE results in a week or so and will find out the gender then.

11 weeks today and still sick but only once every two days now. And my mum is coming to visit on Monday, so looking forward to being pampered!

How is everyone else doing?

So tonight I managed a couple of hours before being wide awake! Makes a change to the usual 4am. Going to play on my phone for a bit then try and go back to sleep again for another solid chunk of sleep.
However so far so good in terms of comfiness with my new pillow.

Congrats lixon - loving the 3d scan pic and hooray for a boy!! Someone else is having a boy too but I have forgotten who.. lots of exciting baby sex announcements in the near future 😆😆

Sounds like you had a nice day mrsB, hope you have fun at the baby shower today and that you got a good night's sleep in the end with your new pillow (I love mine!)

I'm off to a birthday party today but I'm feeling pretty bummed out by the news this morning.. I can see me being a really paranoid Mum!!

Glasto I'm going to go with the fact that the pillow did help. I managed to sleep until 8 again when I got back to sleep so that's good.

Like you I am feeling horrified by the news again. It's scares me so much . I hope you are able to enjoy your birthday party today, but I appreciate how you feel.

Hope all our London lovelies are safe, can't bare waking up to such sad news, awful awful times :(

@Lixon congratulations on your little man! Anxiety is an awful thing, sounds like you are doing lots to try and keep it in control, hope it all helps, good talking therapy was the best thing I ever did, helped really quickly too, big love to you xxx

I slept better last night, awake for an hour at 0530, still super anxious in waves about scan on Thurs, now have an irrational (I hope) fear that because I can't really feel anything when I prod my pubic bone area that whatever was there has stopped growing and it will be bad news. Need to give my head a wobble!

We heard baby's heartbeat yesterday with the Doppler I bought 😍 sounded like a little train!

Carlotta sorry you're feeling anxious, hope Thursday comes along quickly and you feel better after scan 🙂

Carley that is exciting. I think if I had one I'd spend all day listening and never get anything else done

Carlotta I'm glad you slept a little better. Any steps of progress are good. If it makes you feel any better, I can't feel anything when I prod around (although I am scared to prod too hard). And apparently it's the size of a kiwi now.

Bluebell I told my other half that baby was the size of a profiterole last night and he didn't believe me. He thought it would be smaller. I'm really excited to see husband face at the scan. He's a farmer so used to seeing lots of baby animals but never baby humans. I think he might get emotional.

... I would like to say DH is responsible for half of this! I just got it all out and now feel slightly weird about all our purchasing

There's also the wooden dinosaurs, and the box of reuseable nappies 😂

Carlotta I think that's perfectly normal! Please try not to worry, and try not to poke your bits too much I completely get how anxious you must be though. I'm sure we're all happy to hand hold till Thursday!

I love your collection of baby stuff zaber!! I'm quite jealous, in fact. So far I have one newborn outfit, a hat (that my friend gave me) and 2 bottles that I got free from the baby show. I'm desperate to buy stuff but we don't really have anywhere to store it until we sort out the nursery as we have to decorate our bedroom and change all the furniture too!! I'm trying to occupy my urge to shop with a Pinterest board and amazon wish list in the mean time (but it's not the same!)

Glasto we're not great for storage either at the moment, though DH has started clearing the spare room a bit. I'm quite jealous that you get to design a nursery! We need to keep our second bedroom for people to stay in when they visit as we live so far away from family and there's no hotels locally.

I'll get to do it as soon as we get our next posting and get a three bedroomed house instead, but I can't see that being until after the baby is here.

I haven't bought anything yet but my best friend has just left after staying with her 10 week old DD (absolutely good as gold) and has left me her clairdelune noa pod in grey, I feel weird that it's here!

glasto I think I'm going to be putting everything on pinterest too so DH can see it, nursery ideas too. We live on the edge of the New Forest so I'm hoping we can find some children's wallpaper that has trees and animals on it.

And carlotta that moses basket is gorgeous. Lucky you!

I've kind of planned my nursery a bit already, I think I'm bonkers haha. This Moses basket will be for the living room, I want a next to you one for the bedroom I think, I'll probably hire a bed nest. I've ordered a couple of cute Christmas babygrows from the Next clearance but not picking them up until after Thursdays scan if all is well xxx
