bluebell woop to being EDD twins!!

I bet it's such a relief to tell your boss. My boss knows and my other team member but I need to tell our wider team and another few bosses. That might be tricky due to my fixed term contract. Eek!!

CuddledUpWithMyCat · 02/06/2017 20:22

Lovely scan news Mary and Beardy. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

I have loads to catch up on so will disappear off to read.

glastogal · 02/06/2017 20:23

Beautiful scan pic Beardy - congrats! How lovely you have so many due date buddies too Grin

Welcome Lilly, I hope you get a cancellation soon.

Thanks for the info Macs - I will crack out the laptop and try to figure out how to send a DM.

Today I have been feeling sick all day, I thought I was smelling paint from next door but it turns out the parcel delivered this morning was a new trolley for glasto, and I could smell the rubber tyres through all the packaging. First encounter with my pregnancy nose, I think Grin

5 days til scan, hopefully then I can ditch this middle of the night worrying Sad

Mrsbluebell17 · 03/06/2017 04:00

Oh Carlotta. Are you ok? Xx

Oh Carlotta. Are you ok? Xx

Beardy1 · 03/06/2017 04:22

carlotta I hope your okay.

Morning bluebell. Take it you can't sleep as well.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 03/06/2017 06:51

I got on the scales this morning. Just to see (it was going to be hideous whatever as I'm ridiculously over weight) what was going on. And, despite going out for a three course lunch yesterday, I appear to have lost just over a pound so far this pregnancy. Considering I haven't actually been sick I think that's quite good.

Mrsbluebell17 · 03/06/2017 07:06

Beardy I always seem to wake around 4/4:30 ish at the moment but then can often get back to sleep thankfully. How are you? Another one that was awake early.....

Hope Carlotta is ok.

macsworth · 03/06/2017 07:08

Glasto you're going to Glasto this year? I am so so jealous, it is literally my favourite place on earth! We didn't even try for tickets this year because we didn't have enough leave to take from work after our holiday. Wish I was going, next one I make it to we'll have baby in tow!

Donna that's impressive! Baby is obviously eating all those calories! Keep up the 3 course lunches.

Welcome lilly. Defo keep chasing the scan, that's so unfair they can't do the measurements. Or are you able to pay for a private scan if your worried?

Bluebell well done on telling your boss! I need to have that conversation next week after only being there 2 weeks 😬

Hospital appointment went fine. They've started me on 75mg Levothyoxine. There seems to be a debate about whether to treat or not but there is no harm in treating so I don't mind that they are.
Bonus was doctor gave me a quick scan to see the baby who was having the time of its life in there wriggling round!

MaryShelley1818 · 03/06/2017 07:12

Welcome Lily!

Great scan picture Beardy xx

Thank you to everyone for all the lovely comments. NHS official dating scan on Friday so will be interesting to see how much Squishy grows and what date they decide on!

What's everyone's plans for the weekend? I'm going to go to a garden centre this morning and get some bedding plants for my pots, then this afternoon I'm going to drive into Durham and get a tan leather backpack I've had my eye on and maybe treat ourselves to an early tea at the Italian 😋

glastogal · 03/06/2017 07:21

Wow Donna - that's brilliant!! I think I have already put on all the weight recommended by the NHS BlushBlush (for the entire pregnancy). Whoops.

Carlotta - hope you got a decent amount of sleep in the end. How are you feeling this morning?

Macs - yes, we are Glasto bound but we have to leave to attend a wedding in the middle.. should be my most stressful festival ever!! Grin My DP was really keen to go as it will be our last visit as a pair.. all future ones will be a little different with a little Bug in tow! See you in the kids field in 2019??

Sounds like a lovely day Mary!! I'm going for a walk in a little bit (need some hayfever stuff) then we are getting a quote for our bathroom this afternoon and tomorrow we are going to a birthday party Grin mixture of boring and fun stuff!!

Now ... to have leftover pizza for breakfast ... or advocado on toast Grin

Last night the baby decided to embarrass me in front of our houseguest. I threw up half a pizza, three glasses of water chocolate pudding, and blood. It seems to despise anything vaguely unhealthy. I greeted them at the door with sick in my hair, and that delightful half digested food odour Grin

Zaberwocky · 03/06/2017 07:27

As for this weekend, I'm on my own! I really want to get on top of the house, plus I'm quite behind with my coursework. Well, not behind. Just more behind than I'd like to be.

We'll see how that pans out though, I've been puking since 3am. Hope you all have a lovely sunny weekend!

macsworth · 03/06/2017 07:47

Mary your weekend sounds lovely! I love a garden centre trip. They always do such good cake!

We're seeing one of my best mates this weekend who is over from Australia so I can meet her 2 month old daughter. Also going to tell her our news face to face which is exciting!

Glasto it's a date!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 03/06/2017 07:47

That does not sound fun @Zaberwocky! Hope it settles down soon.
DH is on nights so we're heading to my mum's soon (a bit unsure of which route to go as my usual routes are flooded and I get driving anxiety) to play there and let him sleep. It will be similar tomorrow as well. So no real plans. I'm not a fan of the night shift coinciding with the weekend.

Peachi82 · 03/06/2017 08:07

Morning! My London trip was good, but very tiring!!! I'll take it easy today...

We won't do any festivals this year :-( normally we go to Download or head for a similar festival type abroad, but I think I can't manage this year. Bit of a shame, but I can't help it.

LapinR0se · 03/06/2017 08:07

Oh My god I am exhausted this morning. Can barely do anything at all which is quite tricky with a toddler Sad
Bank holiday weekend here though which is fab

CarlottaJo · 03/06/2017 08:30

Morning girls, got back to sleep eventually, 2 hours awake in the early hours is pretty standard at the moment, starts with anxiety over scan then I move on to worrying about absolutely everything in the world for a bit before dropping back off, luckily I'm still on leave until 8th when I go back on nights, it's the day of my scan so hopefully I'll have some reassurance by then (please please please).

@glastogal I'm so jealous of your Glastonbury plans, used to be a regular festival goer but never got to the big one, put me on the list for the baby glasto too!

I'm off to a food festival today actually, pregnancy friendly haha :)

glastogal · 03/06/2017 08:31

That's a shame peachi - think I'm just lucky with the timing of Glastonbury as I will only be 17 weeks so I'm hoping it won't be too hard on me. Depends on the mud though. Just not looking forward to 2 nights on a thin sleeping mat!!

OP posts:
glastogal · 03/06/2017 08:33

Ooh fantastic Carlotta - we will have quite the crew of mums and babes 😀

Have a great time at the food festival. I love those things ♥️ eat some delicious stuff for me!!

OP posts:
Peachi82 · 03/06/2017 08:39

Glasto, Download is next weekend, I just know I couldn't manage. It was hard last year with all the rain and mud, which made the toilet situation unbearable. I think I wouldn't be able to make it next week with all the puking and the exhaustion. :-(

But 17th week sounds good to be at a festival, belly not too big and maybe no more sickness.

Oysterbabe · 03/06/2017 08:42

Morning!
Exhausted here too. Toddler ended up in our bed as she had a bit of a fever and wouldn't settle at 3am. She was fine with cuddles and Nurofen. She was ill the entire first 6 weeks of nursery and every other week since then. It's relentless, I've nicknamed her plague baby.
Beautiful sunny day in Brizzle and I'm planning an allotment day. The weeds are WAY out of control.
