Zaber I love my out n about running buggy. I got it from their online outlet store

Beardy1 · 31/05/2017 16:06

Thanks to all the flight socks recommendations. Off to boots I go.

Regarding the sickness comments, I'm coming up to 12 weeks tomorrow and have had serious nausea from week 7 all day until about week 10/11 days got better but then from 4 onwards it's horrific till I sleep. Yesterday was the first time where I managed a proper tea and my sickness was manageable till about 7. I'm starting to see it reduce so I'm hoping the 12 week rule is true.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 31/05/2017 17:00

I'm feeling cheated. My nausea just majorly kicked in this afternoon. I'm 9+5 and thought I'd missed it! I was at my mum's earlier and I've had to leave my car at hers and get her to drive me to pick my son up from nursery! SadSad

glitteryvibes · 31/05/2017 17:53

Hi all, don't post much but read along. I have my 12 week scan week after next, I should be closer to 13 weeks then so we shall see what they say. As I haven't had any early scans really hoping all is ok. My dp keeps saying it must be otherwise why do I keep vomiting but there's still part of me that wonders if it's all in my mind!

Gave in today and finally brought some new bras. Although the fitter was convinced I won't fit in these ones for more that a couple of months so it seems like a massive waste of money!!

Good luck to all those with scans coming up.

Royalsteph · 31/05/2017 18:50

1 week till scan day. My 2 yr old ds has thought it was funny to poke me in the boobs and laugh when I say ow. I have 2 days off work with no kids then a busy weekend with 2 weddings and lots of travelling. Hopefully I can find a dress that fits me before then.

Zaberwocky · 31/05/2017 19:24

Beardy! Promise me you'll take yourself to the doctors if it persists Smile where are you jetting off to

Donna hopefully it'll be short lived Sad is there any chance it could be migraine related or something else? You'd be so unlucky to be getting morning sickness so late on!

Glittery I did the same a few weeks ago! But I figured it was better to spend the money, rather than have everyone staring at me adjusting my bra every thirty seconds! Did you at least buy matching pants?

Steph your two year old is clearly an evil genius. If you want any help finding something to wear I'm sure there'll be some fab suggestions on here.

Bluebell I keep forgetting to ask! How's your skin doing?

Oh Grin and I keep forgetting, this was last Wednesday. Baby was most inconsiderate and refused to get into a useful position for measurements for about half an hour 😂

Zaberwocky · 31/05/2017 19:26

Glasto Grin another thing I meant to ask you! Are you going to be nosey and have a private gender scan in a couple of weeks?

Zaberwocky · 31/05/2017 19:30

Oh Blush and I had a payday related accident. I'm sure you all understand.

m.johnlewis.com/manhattan-toy-playtime-pond-playmat/p/3001604

My basket also featured wooden dinosaurs, PJ's and blankets Blush so I guess all in all slightly more for me than the baby!

Southy84 · 31/05/2017 20:00

You were very restrained bisquick not sure I would have been. Good news with the blood test results :) and hope all goes well tomorrow morning

carley that's reassuring with the sizes of dresses, although I'm not sure how I will get on as these dresses were from China, and already had issues with sizing 😩

My dh likes the phil and ted mamasloves but still can't decide whether to get one straight away or not or see how we get on wth a single first.

I have tracked down my local midwife number so shall call them tomorrow, hopefully I will get to speak to someone.

My nausea is definitely worse afternoon and evening too beardy I had the same with my dd and it got better at week 12-13 then came back horrifically at week 14 then disappeared and never came back. So I'm hoping mine goes soon!

Sorry you're not feeling well glittery but it is a good sign, not that it feels it at the time. Well done for getting new bras, I'm busting out all over the place Blush

Enjoy your days off royalsteph could you try a floaty maxi dress?

That's not nice at all donna mine kicked in badly late this time round (sorry I don't mean to put a dampener on things) hopefully it's just a one off though

zaber I love your pic, little acrobatic baby, so lovely 😊

mamalovesviolet · 31/05/2017 20:17

Just found the babystyle hybrid tandem buggy. I really like it!

Had a massive portion of toad in the hole tonight but am craving cake so badly! I might have to bake one haha

Zaberwocky · 31/05/2017 20:25

Mama ... or a mug cake! That'd be faster Grin

glastogal · 31/05/2017 20:40

I see a few of us have weddings coming up.. I'm a bridesmaid in 3 weeks and the dress fitted a couple of weeks back but I can't stop eating 😫 it's gonna be tight!!

Zaber - love that little playmat, so cute! And that scan pic ♥️ I have a gender scan 2 weeks on Saturday.. eek!

Quite a few scans tomorrow. I'm looking forward to all the updates when I get home!!

Seeing my bestie tomorrow - she is over from the US for a month with her two sprogs. I haven't met her youngest yet so I can't wait!! Also going to be telling her mum my news as my friend has been lying to her so I can do it myself 😆

Can't believe this is the 2nd trimester - I never thought I would be here! Baby is lemon sized, apparently!

Sorry I went AWOL for the day. It's been a long day! Just catching up now....

Lapin I can't believe someone said that to you.

Bisquick that's awful too, very rude of that person! Good luck for tomorrow. My scan isn't until lunch time. I'm envious of your morning appointment hehe.

Southy - thanks, I'm so so so nervous about tomorrow. I can't tell you how nervous I am. Just picked up some maternity clothes in Next and all I could think of was 'what if I have to return these after tomorrow' Confused so so so hoping everything is ok and as expected. I can't believe your patience with the doctors - I wouldn't have lasted that long waiting but I am very impatient. Good luck for friday, be sure to let us know how you get on.

Zaber have you bought the mothercare journey one? I'm really sold on it, so we'll see what we end up doing further along the line.
Also, my skin is not great. It cleared a bit although left nasty scars behind. Then two more painful spots came out a few days ago Sad. But, I'll take it if it means baby is ok!
That's an awesome scan picture you have yet the way!

Sorry for those of you still with sickness. I'm still getting waves of nausea.

Glittery I was told that when I bought maternity bras too Shock

glastogal · 31/05/2017 21:09

glittery mrsB - I ended up buying nursing bras as I couldn't get a regular or maternity one that fit me properly. I actually bought them with a bit of extra growth room so it will be interesting to see how long they last!!

I'm bridesmaid at the end of August when I'll be about 26wks, then go to Greece on holiday when I'm 27wks. Going to wait until nearer the time to get dresses and hol clothes. I have a dress that was too big a few weeks ago (ordered the wrong size) but I think will fit perfectly. Haven't told the dcs yet, going to wait till the scan, I bet the first words will be can we have a sister haha

Zaberwocky · 31/05/2017 21:28

Bluebell I can't lie - I'm severely tempted, but feel like I do need to at least try other ones before I commit! And pick a colour! I just can't get over what a complete bargin it is. I think by waiting too, hopefully there will be loads more reviews too. So you'll be able to make an informed choice Smile I'm sorry you're still suffering with your skin, I know it's all worth it in the long run, but I do sympathise. It's just so damn uncomfortable, and makes you feel 13 all over again!

Glasto eeekkk! Two weeks seems so long yet so short at the same time. Are you hoping for one more than the other? Even though I know we'd all be happy with anything!

DH has booked one I think, I must actually ask him. He's the nosey one here. Knowing my luck the baby will sit there cupping it's genitals for an hour until it decides to play ball Grin

Zaberwocky · 31/05/2017 21:29

Steph a sister is better than what my friends son asked me!

He asked if it was a pink baby. But then said he'd be happy with red, toast or an ice cream baby.

I'm not sure he quite understands baby making 😂

Mrsbluebell17 · 31/05/2017 21:37

I know zaber, we won't buy one until further along and like you say hopefully by then there will be some reviews on there. Grin yeah the skin thing is annoying but I'm just dealing with it really now as much as possible. I don't wear much make up so makes it hard to cover them up subtly.

Royalsteph · 31/05/2017 21:44

Haha that's class!
Ds2 cried when I told him ds3 was a boy, he's a sensitive soul 😂. He randomly shouted a couple of weeks ago when am I getting a sister mummy. I was more bothered about having a girl with ds3 then I am with this one. I think I've got to the point now where I have accepted the fact I only produce boys.

glastogal · 31/05/2017 21:46

zaber - we would find it easier to name a girl.. but we will be happy either way. I'm struggling to accept this pregnancy is really happening so I'm hoping it will help me bond to my Bug a bit.

The pram I want only comes in black or grey 😟 I really wanted a bright yellow silver cross but it's not gonna happen.

MrsB my skin is only just starting to clear up now. Like you I don't wear much makeup so covering them was rough. Hopefully they will ease up soon for you!!

glastogal · 31/05/2017 21:48

steph that is precious ♥️ and funny! Are you going to find out this time?

OP posts:
Zaberwocky · 31/05/2017 21:51

Steph my aunt was the same! 7 boys! Loves them all to bits ... though she did dress the youngest in a couple of dresses...

Blue I think that's all you can do! I'm still sticking with bare minerals, it's not too heavy and makes the more scared patches look a teeny bit better. Plus it's not too much faff. It will heal though. And as soon as our skin settles we can bung some bio oil on there for good measure.

I've just used my teeny burst of energy to pack away all the stuff I know I won't fit into this summer ... purely as my boobs don't fit in most things already!

Zaberwocky · 31/05/2017 21:54

I do remember, completely outing myself if DM were to read this, that I was devastated when I found out my baby brother wasn't the giant stuffed toy panda at the hospital. A really devastated three year old. I was inconsolable apparently.

Eventually several months later, I accepted the baby brother.

Mrsbluebell17 · 31/05/2017 21:56

Thanks glasto I'm hopeful it'll get better as the weeks go by. How far are you now?

Zaber - I need to do that with my wardrobe but I've not found the energy yet!

glastogal · 31/05/2017 21:59

14 weeks today mrsB!! Time has been dragging so badly, I'm quite shocked to be here now!
