G'luck glasto! 💪

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 27/05/2017 08:56

Thanks bluebell 🙂

mamalovesviolet · 27/05/2017 09:23

I think it's 3 months after you give birth for the smear test (if you're due one). Results are hard to read whilst pregnant or something like that.

My bulge is starting to feel firmer. I got my maternity pjs out of storage. And my jeans. And my leggings. And my shorts. So pretty much all the maternity clothes are being worn again. No sucking in here!

CarlottaJo · 27/05/2017 09:45

I want to look pregnant! Think it will take a while though! I'm not huge or anything but I am overweight and always carry weight on my tummy so doubt will show for ages, plus I'm only 10+ so my uterus won't be over my pubic bone yet x

TipTop333 · 27/05/2017 10:01

I wish I didn't look as pregnant as I am. I look huge. I had Year 8 kids that I don't know shout at me yesterday MISS ARE YOU HAVING A BABY?
My problem is that my bloat is all happening at the TOP of my belly because my uterus has already pushed it all up. Creating not just a nice pouch at the bottom but a top to bottom round bump. The constipation is not helping in the slightest.

glastogal · 27/05/2017 10:22

Tip - I'm exactly the same!! My belly is pushed out right below my boobs, so I look really pregnant!! I know I am but I also know there is no way this huge bump is all baby 😂 I don't usually carry weight on my tummy so I feel really weird in all my clothes. Everything I own nips at the waist so consequently no longer fits.

Managed half a parkrun. I'm actually happy with that though as it was my first run since Feb. Gonna try and get out 3 times a week now and hopefully complete it next time I go (in 2 weeks)

I'm pretty certain it'll be after baby for the smear. I've had normal results in all my smears so far. I was sure it was more winter time that I had my last smear.
Very excited about my bacon sandwich on white bread with real butter then went to eat it and felt so sick. Eugh. I thought morning sickness was away.

Peachi82 · 27/05/2017 10:43

Very impressed with your attempt for a run glastogal!
I've made it from the bed to the couch so far and had some cereal for breakfast. One of my rabbits is poorly, so I'm looking after him today and hope he'll recover. Too warm to go out much.

My boyfriend came home last night, looked at me and asked whether my belly has grown a little! Ah, I didn't want to show so early!

CarlottaJo · 27/05/2017 11:39

My OH wouldn't dare ask me that, I'm so paranoid about my weight haha. I'm busty and curvy so think I'll look much the same for a long while, also already live in wrap dresses and tights so no adjustments needed :) Actually 7lb less than when I found out, although breakfast today was two pastries! On my way to my parents for the weekend (on the stupid train as my new car hasn't arrived) and am hoping for a BBQ, although the weather is definitely not as good on the west side, was glorious in the NE this morning x

CarlottaJo · 27/05/2017 11:42

Very impressed @glastogal I really must start making an effort! Don't have a lot of wriggle room weight wise and some activity may help.....I think I'm doing an excellent job of over emphasising my size here Blush I'm annual leave this 2 weeks though and have lots of nice things planned not conducive to healthy living haha, no booze at least although I did have a super weak shandy yesterday, was delicious!

MontyPants · 27/05/2017 12:32

Glasto so you did 2.5km! That's still brilliant to say you're pregnant and haven't run since Feb. You really are putting us all to shame!
Carlotta you've lost 7lbs so that's still great, and you're having a baby so don't worry about your weight. I have ballooned and someone asked me yesterday how far along I was, and was shocked when I said only 13 weeks. I have a proper bump and have been in maternity bras since 7 weeks!

Brens13 · 27/05/2017 13:23

Carlotta I'm the same, still got a bit of a tummy after losing just over a couple of stone so it's hard to see any bump, which is probably good for now!

Well done glasto on your run I'm very impressed! I only mowed our lawn on Thursday evening and was exhausted after 😂

Hope everyone is having a lovely sunny weekend. We had a BBQ last night and are currently at a BBQ with the DH family today. I love summer!

macsworth · 27/05/2017 13:30

Sorry I've been AWOL. Lots of induction for the new job!

Thanks for the comments about the thyroid. I'm feeling much more relaxed about it. We had a friend over for dinner this week who is a consultant obstetrician (so useful!!) and spoke it through with him. He said I'm subclinical and so shouldn't need treating, just monitoring. I'll see what they say at my appointment on Friday.

Got my combined results back and really low risk so that's great

Glasto whoop! Great to get back running. Do you feel good for doing it?

Scots my smear is due too and the midwife said that the results are inconclusive when you're pregnant and as it's an invasive procedure it's best not to have it done. She told me I can book it 5 weeks post baby as cells will have regenerated by then.

Good luck for all the news sharing everyone! We told people last weekend and it's so nice to finally get it out in the open.

Great to see everyone's scans too and good luck to those of you with them coming up.

I had a day this week when I felt fantastic and thought I was through it all but nausea is back and threw up yesterday. I'm 13+2 😩

Angielka · 27/05/2017 14:28

Well done glasto! Seriously impressive. I've been riding my bike a bit this week and feel better as a result but still haven't gone back to running, or working out... maybe it is time!

Sorry about the nausea return mac Sad

Hope everyone is having a good weekend - how is it going for those telling people?

pauseplayrepeat · 27/05/2017 17:12

Great job on the run glasto, esp in this warm weather. I went back to a yoga class this week. Felt amazing.

We got the harmony results back and all low risk, and found out we're having a boy!! Telling the dc this weekend. Hope they take it well 😊

Carley27 · 27/05/2017 17:17

Woohoo 10 weeks today finally 😀

Great news on the combined test results mac 👍

Hope your rabbit feels better soon peachi

Good effort with the parkrun glasto, inspiring me to get my trainers out!

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather this weekend ☀️ (I'm glad it will be colder when we're heavily pregnant!)

Carley27 · 27/05/2017 17:18

Ahh pause congratulations!! Can't believe you already know it's a boy 😀💙

glastogal · 27/05/2017 17:25

Congrats on your incoming boy pause!! How exciting!

Boyf and I have been discussing gender scans today. Maybe on our anniversary?

Mrsbluebell17 · 27/05/2017 18:49

Glasto and tiptop I feel the same, and whilst my tummy is growing more at the bottom, my clothes all feel really weird against my tummy. This is my first pregnancy so I don't know how it should feel but my tummy feels really sensitive to anything remotely clingy. Having to wear loose clothes as much as possible just for comfort.

Well done on park run glasto.

Pause* congrats on the boy news that's exciting!

I'm kinda glad it's cooled down here a bit this evening, I'm struggling due to lack of sleep the last few nights and really need to get more sleep tonight. Think DH and I are about to order a curry Hmm oops!

MontyPants · 27/05/2017 18:52

Macs same here. 13 weeks today and the nausea is back in full force. I've just taken myself off to bed, despite already having had 2 naps today! I've also got a really annoying cough that I'll need to ring the doctor about on Tuesday because it's getting really bad. Left DH to make his own dinner (I'm not super traditional or anything, he is an adult and can make his own meals, it's just that I like cooking and had planned to make the dinner for tonight anyway) but I've realised that I managed to buy fresh pasta and cheese. But nothing else to go with it. No meat/veg/sauce. Oops. Think he'll be ordering a takeaway!
Sorry for the moan!

mamalovesviolet · 27/05/2017 19:15

How many packets of Frazzles would be too many? The small 18g ones....Asking for a friend.

Carley27 · 27/05/2017 19:20

Glasto we are thinking of gender scan for our anniversary too as would be around 19 weeks then 🙂

Bluebell I'm much preferring loose clothes at the moment too! Not liking anything tight on my belly.

Mrsbluebell17 · 27/05/2017 20:07

Monty I'm the cook in our household usually too and although DH is more than capable and doesn't mind, I hate not feeling up to cooking.

Mamalovesviolet - Grin a friend told me not to worry about it Wink

Zaberwocky · 27/05/2017 20:10

Well, day two and no in laws are deceased Grin I have however, had a vaguely huge strop about wanting to go home. Twice.

Whenever I stay here, something shit happens to me. Ten minutes ago it was dropping dinner on my foot, as our host does not own a friggin spatula, and trying to dish up a pie with a spoon. My foot is very red, throbbing, and I've just tried to run a bath and there's no water. Just flat out, no water. The internet won't buffer iZombie for me, but will work for anyone else's device!

Hope everyone is having a better weekend!
