I'm horrified by what happened in Manchester. I agree what is the world coming to. maty I'm so happy your friends are okay. My thoughts go out to all those people. Such sad times.

Mrsbluebell17 · 23/05/2017 08:07

Glad to hear your friends are ok Mary. I can't imagine the relief for you. I hope your scan goes well today. Let us know how you get on.

I've arrived early for my work meeting, feeling really queasy today.
Hope you all have a good Tuesday.

glastogal · 23/05/2017 09:03

Got a GP appt this morning.. feels like a UTI (even though I tested negative for one on Friday) and I also think I have pulled a muscle in my bum with all the constipation (TMI sorry!!) Not had my card thingy for free prescriptions yet so I guess I will have to pay 😫

Just an update in case anyone else panics about having small amounts of blood in their vomit. MW says as long as it is just streaks, and small amounts, and bright red I've ripped something in my osephegus. Nothing to worry too much about and it should start healing as soon as the puking stops.

No hope for me then Smile

LapinR0se · 23/05/2017 09:20

Ouch zaber you poor thing. And it reads so airily like, Oh not to worry I just tore my oesophagus.
You are a goddamn HERO.
When I puke it is just acid, bright yellow acid. No food comes up.
Do you think a Rennies might help?

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 23/05/2017 09:48

Good luck with the scan today @MaryShelley1818 Smile

Zaberwocky · 23/05/2017 09:52

Lapin I don't even have the energy for self pity to be honest! Best just to get on with things. Like wetting yourself whilst being sick Grin

It's probably worth a go! I do think throwing up stomach acid is possibly the worst though. Are you finding it's happening at certain times? The only other thing I can suggest is trying to avoid letting your stomach get empty.

LapinR0se · 23/05/2017 09:58

I always wet myself when I puke pregnant. And then I get a nosebleed. It's all glamour!!

The stomach acid coming up is first thing in the morning and then from about 4pm onwards. Have just taken two tums tablets. So we shall see.

Bisquick · 23/05/2017 10:07

How's everyone handling the tiredness? I worked from home yesterday and was quite productive overall. But so tired this morning, I just want to curl up and go back to sleep. Have called in sick, but wondering if/when I'll get some of my mojo back. 9+3 today. Anyone feeling that famed spurt of energy yet?

Bisquick · 23/05/2017 10:08

Also sorry for everyone still suffering with nausea! Sigh, hope it eases up soon! Mine's a bit of a mixed bag. Almost no nausea all weekend but threw up three times yesterday. I do find the small meals every hour or so is helpful, but can only realistically do that when I'm at home.

Peachi82 · 23/05/2017 10:22

Tiredness is horrible. I spent all weekend doing nothing... And usually in bed by 8pm. Feel a bit like a shit girlfriend at the moment, but my boyfriend understands. He's doing so much at the moment, he's such a star.

I live in Manchester and couldn't really get back to sleep after reading the news last night at 2am (my usual waking up time).

CarlottaJo · 23/05/2017 10:23

I feel so much better this week than last, like amazingly so, 10 weeks today. Is this normal?

Zaberwocky · 23/05/2017 10:44

Carlotta I can only express my envy.

And my annoyance. Not only are you well, but you made me covet a pushchair with flamingos on it.

Zaberwocky · 23/05/2017 10:45

I hope that was you 😂 If not I apologise!

Mrsbluebell17 · 23/05/2017 12:29

I called up and my scan date is sorted (finally) for next Thursday, 1st. So excited and nervous again.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 23/05/2017 12:38

Yay! Glad you got a date that works @Mrsbluebell17 😄 We'll be rooting for you!

Brens13 · 23/05/2017 12:40

Woop Bluebell that's great. I'm pleased you don't have to wait tooo long.

Mrsbluebell17 · 23/05/2017 12:54

Thanks ladies. Just over a week to go Grin to see the little bubba again! Yay.

TipTop333 · 23/05/2017 13:07

Back from my 12 week scan and baby was being difficult but all looked well! Couldn't get the NT measurement so need quad testing at 15 weeks. I'm measuring 12+5 (30/11) but my dates and the early scan had me at 12 weeks today (5/12) so I'm sticking with that one in my head! I couldn't believe how long and skinny the legs were! And how big the movements were.

MontyPants · 23/05/2017 13:31

TipTop that's brilliant! Congratulations on a great scan (apart from difficult baby I guess!)

My scan is tomorrow and I've just realised they said on the phone that I also have a consultant appointment in June. Is this standard? The midwife said I was low risk so I wasn't expecting to see a consultant...

Mrsbluebell17 · 23/05/2017 13:32

Awesome picture tiptop. So glad everything was ok for you, and hope all goes well with the tests in a few weeks time.

Brens13 · 23/05/2017 13:49

Great pic TipTop. Pleased it all went well, and at least if you have to go back it might be another chance to see baby.

TipTop333 · 23/05/2017 14:48

Monty not normal, no. I know that having certain things ticked on your notes can trigger a consultant but they see you and agree you don't need to be seen again and hand you back to midwives. Any family medical history that could have done it?

MontyPants · 23/05/2017 14:51

TipTop could it be diabetes in family? Hoping that's all it is

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 23/05/2017 14:57

Yay @TipTop333 ! Amazing picture! And we're now post-scan due date buddies too (for now!) 😄
