I'm not having any cravings I just can only eat crisps chocolate or anything sweet. Anything else makes me wanna throw my guts up lol

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 22/05/2017 21:04

Cravings change week to week but generally (and surprisingly) salmon and tuna seem to feature consistently! 🐟

glastogal · 22/05/2017 21:08

Not sure it's a craving.. but chilli!! I've been adding jalapeños to almost every meal. My DP keeps giving me really funny looks 😂

Also, I'm just loving jacket potatoes at the moment!!

Loving all the responses re food. Thanks for entertaining my daft question. I'm the same as Brens, I don't fancy anything in particular when it comes to meal times and certainly don't want to cook so food shopping has become a challenge. I'm in the snacking phase still I think.

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/05/2017 21:13

Glasto. That's the one thing I think I fancied yesterday but didn't have. We have jackets on the plan for tea one night this week. It will need to have a crispy skin though, that's what I'm looking forward to! Random hey!

Brens13 · 22/05/2017 21:16

Yes bluebell I can wander around the supermarket for an hour and not find anything I fancy (today was only 30mins thankfully and went for the excitement if pasta!)

CuddledUpWithMyCat · 22/05/2017 21:17

I don't have any symptoms other than cramps/ligament pain at the moment which I am finding a bit worrying. I just wish pregnancy wasn't so stressful!

Brens13 · 22/05/2017 21:25

cuddledup I've also only had mild symptoms and agree it's very stressful. I do sometimes feels a bit nauseous, I'm tired a lot and have had a few headaches but that's it really. My boots only hurt for a couple of weeks and I'm not sure have grown much (I'm not very blessed in that department anyway). So I've taken a permanent seat on the anxious bench until my 12 week scan. Feel free to join me!

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/05/2017 21:27

Brens I ended up with fresh tortellini this evening too, and some garlic bread - oops.

Brens and cuddle I've had days without any symptoms at all. It's worrying, I agree but I have to remind myself my friend went for months without knowing she was pregnant so symptoms don't get everyone!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 22/05/2017 21:44

Brens & bluebell - most days I'm like that too. No particular food catches my fancy, but I know I have to eat so just try and pick the least offensive thing that hopefully won't set the nausea off. But there are days that strong cravings just HAVE to be satisfied!

Glasto- I add chilli to everything! Love spicy anyway but now switched to fresh chillies rather than sauces 🌶

glastogal · 22/05/2017 21:45

mrsB - I know they're not cost effective in the slightest but I bought some of the frozen jacket spuds that cook in 5 mins. They have been so handy on those 'hangry' days!!

glastogal · 22/05/2017 21:48

cuddledup - I have had no nausea or sickness at all (sorry all those suffering!!) and all is well with my little critter. I know how anxious it can make you though!! I have been a nervous wreck!!

glastogal · 22/05/2017 21:50

bikerchick - I've always been a spice fan too.. I just like everything hotter now!! I like it when it makes my nose run 😆🔥

Thanks for the reassurance everyone and Brens, I am right beside you on the anxious bench.

Miami81 · 22/05/2017 22:04

Brens and cuddle
I have had very few symptoms too. Basically some days I feel a bit off, not actually sick, just slightly queasy. Am off food in general, earlier chat about jacket potatoes had me giggling. I made DH change lunch plans yesterday so I could have a jacket potato. It's not that I amn't hungry it's just that nothing seems like it would be nice enough.
I am almost off sweet things.
Anyway other symptoms are I also have headaches, I have decided that is my version of morning sickness. And some loose bm (sorry for tmi) and also tiredness, but not like killer tiredness.
But anyway just wanted to say that today everything was good for me with my very few symptoms. The lady at epu was very reassuring and said that honestly some people are just more sensitive to the hormones and that some end up like me with headaches etc.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 23/05/2017 01:05

@glastogal Me too! 😂

Angielka · 23/05/2017 02:24

Ugh, can't sleep. A mosquito whine woke me up a couple of hours ago and I've been tossing and turning ever since. Got the bugger though 😄

Loved seeing the scans - such an exciting time.

Right back to lying in the dark trying to think up witty signs for the anti Trump march here on Wednesday 😜

Sleep tight everyone

Mrsbluebell17 · 23/05/2017 04:55

Good to hear everything was ok with you Miami at EPU. That's how I feel about food too, like nothing feels appealing most of the time. I'm usually a huge foodie too.

I spoke too soon re symptoms too as I have woken up again with a throbbing pain in my chin where another painful spot is making an appearance. They've only just calmed down from the last lot.

I woke early again about twenty mins ago but have to get up soon for work anyway. Woke up to the horrifying news of the attacks that have happened in Manchester- it's so sad, and my heart goes out to all those affected :( just terrible to have things like this happening in the world. Really scares me.

CarlottaJo · 23/05/2017 05:27

What awful sad news to wake up to :(

Mrsbluebell17 · 23/05/2017 05:37

I know Carlotta. The news is just so sad, I wish the world was a better place. The attack that has happened in Manchester sounds simply horrific. Sad** I hope none of you have family or friends that are affected. I know my thoughts today are going to be with all those affected.

glastogal · 23/05/2017 05:58

Morning guys.. I've been awake since 4:30 😫 terrible news about Manchester.. but the bits that make me cry in these stories are the nice bits, the compassion shown in the community. Loads of locals offering beds and comfort on twitter and a fleet of taxis offering free lifts to stranded people ♥️♥️ There must be a lot of terrified people in Manchester today. My thoughts are definitely with those affected x

Amazing scans Glasto and Bikerchick!
Congratulations on your baby shaped babies :)

Cuddled and Bren I'm another one that hasn't really had a huge amount of symptoms, I still feel scarily normal which has been so worrying even though I had an early reassurance scan and all was well.

Private scan and NIPT tests today...not until 3.30pm and been up since 5am now with nerves...I'm terrified, it's going to be a long day!

MaryShelley1818 · 23/05/2017 06:19

Devastating news about Manchester, my friend was there with her 2 daughters and are thankfully ok.

Brens13 · 23/05/2017 06:44

Really horrible news this morning. Targeting young people too. I'm exactly the same glasto always tear up at the kindness of people.

Thank you everyone for the minimal symptom reassurance, it really does help. 3 weeks till my scan... I'll try and stop being so anxious!
