Just back from my booking appointment and I'm going to have eleventy billion extra appointments and scans because of my previous pregnancy. My employer will be delighted 😂

I've changed my scan to 8th June from 13th, as didn't want to be at work when I have it, and my private scan this week was measuring me nearly a week ahead and don't want to miss screening. Will be 12+2 now instead of 13 x

DP and I have been sat trying to understand skull and nub theories for a guess at the sex. We have given up!! 😂😂 I can wait 8 weeks!!

Afternoon ladies Everything was fine - little biker was actively kicking and waving arms about. Am at 12+2 today but little biker measured 12+4 so due date has been brought forward (for now anyway) to 30 Nov. Still consider myself part of the Dec group tho (pleeeeeease )! Nuchal fold looked normal, but will get blood test results anyway in a week or so.

So we went for our reassurance scan today at 8+6 at the epu. All good, we even got a little limb bud wave. Bean measuring at 9+2 so that's reassuring. So we are all good for now. Seems a long time to 12 weeks. Booking in on Wednesday. Exciting times.

First day went well, now onto 4 days of mandatory training and then the bank hol.
Did have a really awkward moment with my new manager saying they are so happy I've started as they finally feel like they've got stable staff in place. When do I tell him I'm pregnant and will only be around for about 5 months?! 🙈

Back from our days/night away now and no letter from the hospital. Decided I'll give it until Wednesdays post has been and then I'll find the courage to ring if I haven't heard anything as then it'll be just over a week until I'm 12 weeks but we go away at around 13 weeks so I need to get in before then.

Zaber id speak to the midwife re the blood just to be sure.

Just had a call from the hospital to say my thyroid levels are slightly raised so I've got to see them next week on 2nd June.

The 3 days of not worrying was nice but budge up everyone I'm back on the bench!

At least they're seeing you* fairly quickly macs.* I don't have any experience with thyroid issues but maybe someone else on here will have done and will be able put your mind at rest.

Thank you everyone 😊 We are mega chuffed and relieved but of course now feel the stakes are higher too! Absolutely loved seeing all the action going on in there, and can't wait to feel it too!

@macsworth Good that they're seeing you so soon. Hopefully it'll be sorted easily and mean that they keep monitoring you closely (which can only be a good thing, right)?

In the meantime, glad that you're getting on with the job ok even if you feel Iike you're keeping a secret! It'll all be fine though, I'm sure!

Oops. Bold fail on my last message!

Macs. I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid just before I became pregnant with dd.
I was consultant led and put on medication for it (levothyroxin)
It's not as scary as it sounds, consultant was great and I was monitored very closely throughout pregnancy. Healthy dd who is now 4
Now I'm on 150 mcg of levo and my levels checked every month and medication adjusted as and when during pregnancy.

Congratulations Miami, Bisquick, glasto and biker chick on your scans - hopefully it provides some respite for a day or two!. The 12 week scan photos are so well developed, can hardly wait 1.5 more weeks!

Zabe you poor thing, you e had such a rotten time of it. I hope the vomiting stops and you get some respite soon.

I also have an under active thyroid which was diagnosed when we were struggling to conceive. Still waiting for my first consultant appointment but have been told it's nothing to worry about. My pregnancy dose of
Levothyroxine is 25-50mg more than standard (although I think this will change post 12 weeks).

Toast, toast and more toast. Think it's starting to wane tho as I think I've eaten too much! Still on the BBQ mini cheddar too. Other than that nothing, have moved to only really wanting to eat to stop feeling nauseous rather than actually being hungry.
