dirtygrubbybikerchick · 22/05/2017 09:03

@TipTop333 lol 😂 Good luck with the scan tomorrow Smile

And good luck with the new job today @macsworth !

mamalovesviolet · 22/05/2017 09:09

Standing on the train for half an hour is not a good start to the day. Got off at my station and had to sit down and eat a banana. Have a feeling today is going to be tough. Feel so wiped out argh. 9 weeks tomorrow. On a positive note my previously 5-6am waking 19 month old has slept past 7 for a week now. She even woke up at 8.45 yesterday. Thank you little one!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 22/05/2017 09:11

@mamalovesviolet I am jealous. My 20 month old woke up at 4:45! I spun it out until 5:30.

Carley27 · 22/05/2017 09:15

Ooh lovely oyster, hope you have a fab holiday!

Congrats on the scan bisquick - hope the nausea eases off soon.

Oh Lapin.. being sick in the shower does not sound fun! Hope your day won't be too busy and you can get some rest.

Good luck with the new job macs!

Can I have some opinions if anyone I see around?

I'm seeing traces of blood in my vomit now. Small amounts at the end of being sick. Any thoughts? I'm hoping my throat is just irritated Sad

Peachi82 · 22/05/2017 10:24

Zaber, I would say that you need to give your GP a ring or if they can't see you today, go to hospital. Blood is a bit extreme! Are you keeping any fluids down?
I feel for you!

Peachi82 · 22/05/2017 10:27

Extremely nauseated today, I've ordered seabands yesterday and hope they'll help. I didn't really want to try them because someone will recognise what it is and will know that I'm pregnant (am I? I mean, I am pregnant?! Hello, parallel universe!!). But the constant nausea and the pressure in work is just too much at times.

glastogal · 22/05/2017 10:31

zaber deffo call the GP.. hopefully it's just you have irritated your throat but I wouldn't take any chances. You poor love.

Sorry to lapin, bisquick and peachi that you are so sick still too 😟

Hope your first day goes well Macs

Have a lovely lovely holiday oyster!!

I can't get through to the GP Sad I think I might give the midwife a call and see what she thinks if I can track her down. It's small amounts, but enough to see in the toilet.

Liquids are a bit hit and miss, I've kept down probably a glass of water that I had at 8:00-ish. It's just the food and water since then!

Peachi long sleeved jumpers are now your friend Grin

Carley27 · 22/05/2017 11:08

Definitely give the MW a call zaber, does sound like it could just be irritation but worth checking with them.

Hope the seabands work for you peachi!

Seagreen25 · 22/05/2017 11:23

Hi all.

I had a horrendous 1st pregnancy - nausea and vomiting until 20 weeks, hospitalisation etc. I posted on Saturday saying how worried I was about symptoms disappearing - so yesterday I got a private scan and everything was looking good.

Anyway I suppose the reason I'm saying all this is because I've tried so many things for nausea and vomiting and I think I may have hit upon things that actually help. Bear in mind I was properly diagnosed with HG last time so to be just quite nauseous with the odd vomit for me is a huge change. Some of these are not 'approved' for pregnancy so do your own research and talk to your HCPs but on a daily basis I take:

  • 3x vitamin B6 25mg
  • 3 x milk thistle capsules
  • 1x ginger root capsule (1000mg)

If this keeps me off ondanasatron I'm happy! Just thought I'd share in case it helps anyone else.

Zaberwocky · 22/05/2017 11:50

Sea I'll look into that! Thank you so much. Glad you're doing okay so far.

I'm tempted to go home to be honest. I'm fed up of having an audience when I'm in the loo. I know people are concerned and mean well, but it's just a bit awkward.

pauseplayrepeat · 22/05/2017 11:51

zabe can you get to the pharmacy to buy some Ketostix? You can use those to see if you're dehydrated. They save you doing guess work on if you need to do anything or are ok at home. By all means call your midwife or NHS direct, but small amounts of bright red blood can be down to damage to the stomach lining or throat from the vomiting, I had it all the time, grim! If you get large amounts, or it resembles coffee grounds that's a red flag to go straight to a&e. Hope you get a call back from your midwife soon.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 22/05/2017 12:32

Went to GP for my bloods (after phoning to check they do them). Got there. Waited. And they don't.

glastogal · 22/05/2017 13:35

Scan all done.. measured at 12+5 so EDD 29/11/17 (but consultant might change it back) nuchal fold 2.1mm so hopefully low risk 🤞 saw it wriggling and swimming about and got a face on view (very alien!) Feel so much better now

@glastogal ❤️

Meeshel29 · 22/05/2017 13:46

Had to call in sick today.
I feel so rough
Can't eat or drink but I'm not actually being sick I just feel it. It's horrendous. Sickness bands don't work for me 😪

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 22/05/2017 13:46

@glastogal Beautiful! So glad your scan went well 😄

Brens13 · 22/05/2017 13:51

Oh glastogirl that's a great pic. Pleased you feel less anxious now, it must be a lovely feeling!

TipTop333 · 22/05/2017 14:03

Congratulations glastogal!!!

Bisquick · 22/05/2017 14:08

That's a lovely pic @glastogal congrats!

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/05/2017 14:31

Lovely scan Glasto Smile
After being sent around in circles, I've booked my scan for 15th June, at 13+3 as they had nothing the previous week. Hope it's all ok 👌🏻

Angielka · 22/05/2017 14:49

Congrats glasto Grin** what a beautiful bubba! You must be so happy ❤️❤️

MontyPants · 22/05/2017 14:53

Congratulations Glasto, that's brilliant.

I've just phoned the hospital about my scan date, got told that it's on the 31st but that they could see me this week instead if I want. So my scan is booked for Wednesday at 3pm!!! 😁😁😁 I can't wait! Just fingers crossed that all is ok.
