I did NCT with no1 and had a a great experience too. I still have 2 very close friends from it. I think i will do a refresher for no3 - i have looked and there is one locally..... It's just to make friends with local mums really and have someone to moan about sore nipples and sleepless nights to!!

I have never agreed with anything more (I'm 9+3)

The headaches suck don't they biker and bluebell. I worked out one of my main triggers and sadly I can't do much to limit it - my children, generally playing loudly, whining and bickering

I'm thinking of doing an NCT refresher as I don't know anyone who will be on mat leave or having a baby same time as me. Same as lots of others, I found the actual course not that helpful but did make awesome friends, 2 of which I'm still close to 8 years later.

I've booked on to an NCT, starts in September, am hoping as many of you lovelies have said, it will be a good chance to meet other mums and dads to be. It's very expensive though, so I really hope it's worth it x Sorry to hear that headaches are plaguing, sending calming and pain free thoughts xxx

Evening ladies.. gosh, I'm pooped!! Been on my feet all afternoon at the baby show. Didn't buy anything but I got a couple of freebie bottles 👍 and some baby shampoo 😂 most importantly, we got to play with a tonne of pram and pushchairs and eliminate a few from our favourites list and we got a lot of info on car seats. Couple of months before I intend to buy either of those things but it's good to be able to keep an eye out for offers!! 12 week scan in the morning. I'm scared but also looking forward to it.

I've come to the conclusion of only having paracetamol for headaches sucks.

Been rough all day with it. Hoping if I go to bed now it won't develop any further.

I think I'd rather have the nausea all day minus the side of dwarves with pickaxes working in my left temple......

Got to go and get my bloods done this morning and DS is already awake. I am currently fooling myself that if I leave him to it he might go back to sleep. DH woke me at 4:20 snoring then his alarm went for work twenty minutes later. It will be a long day

I had my bloods done a week ago and the ladies at my hospital were fab with my needle phobia. I assume they phone if anything is out of the ordinary if not I think I have to see someone after the scan anyway on June 1st. Soooo long to wait!!

How is everyone this morning?

Headache woke me up at around 6 and had to take paracetamol again, I think it's a mild migraine, still #£@€ing hurts but mild in the sense of I'm not throwing up with it and just have a crew of 4 dwarves as opposed to 7 pickaxing. Strange though cause it's on the wrong side to normal. Have sunglasses on and turned the brightness of my phone down so I can still read MN.
If this is the worst my migraines get during pregnancy i can cope with it without my fabulous no go meds.
I'm totally rocking the pjs and sunglasses look though 😂 although OH is panicking about leaving me to crack on with it as he doesn't like it when I have an attack (Not since I was rushed to a and e with one a few years back)

Oh lola that sounds awful. I hope it eases off soon. This whole no drug business definetly has its flaws.

Regarding results of bloods your right in thinking that you will only get a phone call if something is raised as an issue. I did receive my negative std results by post which seems to be a standard here. It was a bit of a shock. I initially thought something bad but realised it wasn't. Phew!!

STorming into week 11 this week and starting to feel like the doom is lifting a bit. My nausea is okay during the day but hits awfully at about 5. Im having to go to bed by 8. Im hoping second trimester hurries up. I have my scan a week on Friday and it'll be the first time I see the baby. It's going to be really surreal. Eek!!

Morning all. DH and I were away last night so hoping we'll get home to a letter with a scan date but I know it's unrealistic as only saw the midwife late on weds so doubt it'll have reached the hospital and been processed already. If I've not heard mid week I'm going to call them as suggested so I know.

Fingers crossed Bluebell. My midwife filled in the scan referral form on Monday and I got my scan date later on Thursday so you may be lucky!

Hope everyone had good weekends. I had the in-laws down so did some nice things but am exhausted now as they can be hard work at the best of times.

I'm celebrating today because at 11+6 and with my scan tomorrow this is officially my last day of the first trimester, regardless of the outcome of tomorrow. I couldn't be more relieved as I have hated every day of it. The anxiety, the exhaustion, the fucking nausea. I know I still have bad things to come (I'm looking at you, swollen feet and heartburn) but I found those a lot easier to handle last time knowing I had a big, wriggling belly.

I may have also stuck my belly out on the train this morning to justify taking one of the few available seats

Oh and if you point out that the first trimester doesn't end until the END of week 12 then I'm going to ignore you politely

So I've woken up with a stinking cold this morning. Just in time for the first day at my new job! Hoping paracetamol will see me through and combined with my usual headache and nausea I feel like crap but am going to have to be super happy and enthusiastic all day 😩

At least the sun is shining ☀️

11 weeks today. Scan not until 7 Jun, feels like ages away. Rocking a nice little bump, going to have to invest in some maternity jeans. Busy busy weekend with youngest ds turning two, in laws, parents and friends over felt like I never had a weekend.

So the puking has reached a new low with being sick in the shower this morning. That was properly disgusting

Hope everyone had an excellent weekend. We had a scan on Friday and got to see the little bean wriggling about. And met our consultant who was very reassuring.
9+2 today; just waiting on results from blood tests this week and then need to book in for the Harmony test and 12 w scan. I thought the nausea was easing off, but threw up again yesterday.
How is everyone else doing?

Sorry so many of you are feeling shit. I feel a bit better than yesterday but still a bit sicky and tired. Booking appointment for me later then flying off to Majorca for a week.
