Fingers crossed this works, no idea how to make a thread but giving it my best shot. Let the May babies continue!

@teainbed nothing... MW asked me to go in just to check waters - just increased discharge, can't see my cervix - sounds promising for my sweep on Tuesday... NOT...

Then another busy body MW comes in after half reading my notes 'oh I see you've had RFM - you are aware we'll only monitor baby every 15 mins'

If you'd read my notes, you'd see I have anterior placenta and everyone I've spoken to has said that would explain it and it's nothing to worry about - hence why I was signed off for MLU two days ago...

I'm so disheartened right now 😔

Barnes79 · 20/05/2017 19:51

For those who are frustrated with the wait - I had a pineapple a day for about 4 days followed by a hot lamb jalfrezi on the evening before he was born i.e. 6hrs before labour started. Doubt it really had much to do with him arriving 9 days early, but you never know 😜

Good luck to you all, and I hope baby comes soon for the frustrated amongst you.

Autumnsweater · 20/05/2017 19:56

Grin Barnes have told DH I'm deffo having a hot lamb jalfrezi for tea tomorrow!
Am making an emergency trip to Tesco for some overpriced Nexium Hmm will have to get pineapple while I'm there!

Blueberry if there's anything guaranteed to get me stressed it's the thought of being on SMP for months on end.. I think your tax/NI/student loan while be based on your reduced earnings so much reduced...

uptown8617 · 20/05/2017 19:58

Fox, Mrsjw, Bouncing, Esmes 👋🏼 Can I join too? Fed up as well. Can't believe I'm only 40+3 and so could have another week plus of this. I can't complain about pregnancy one bit and still feel absolutely fine but the last few days has dragged so much.

FoxMulder · 20/05/2017 19:59

Thanks tea. Yeah, DH is great although he's getting fed up too. We've been saying "this will be our last weekend" for ages now. All DS wants to do is stay home playing with daddy, which is pretty boring for me!

MrsJW15 · 20/05/2017 20:31

I think I could chair the fed up club at 41+1. Have tried curry, walking, bouncing, sex... not a whole pineapple in a day yet though.

Induction is Wednesday so not long to go really. But I'm handling this very badly and currently can't stop crying. Whilst also over thinking each twinge! Sad

Sonnet18 · 20/05/2017 21:12

I'm right there with you mrsjw- 8 days over too!
Been in quite a lot of pain all day but it's more like trapped wind (sorry if tmi) however I've never suffered from that before...so I'm unsure! I had my dd 16 months ago and cannot remember what my early labour felt like- how ridiculous is my memory?!
I'm praying this is it...but have a bad feeling I'll go to bed and wake up feeling fine tomorrow.

1004Rise · 20/05/2017 21:28

Congratulations @Barnes79 I know you were expecting quick but that's really impressive!! 🌷and what a sweetie!

I really hope the fed up club see some babies soon!

I ordered some new bras today to see if I can get something to fit my massive boobs 😕 I need something with a bit more support than the soft ones I have at the moment.

I'm also leaking a lot! Please tell me that stops at some point, I'm going through breast pads like they're going out of fashion 😖

MrsJW15 · 20/05/2017 21:41

Ha @Sonnet18 at least my excuse is I don't know what to expect because it's my first time! Constantly feel like I need to pee today, not fun.

teainbed · 20/05/2017 22:18

@1004Rise my bras are all terrible. They're not fitting well and starting to lack support already. I've just noticed the one I'm wearing has got a hole in it! I'm very leaky, always the other boob to the one I'm feeding on and I randomly let down milk at various points through the day! My skin doesn't like disposable breast pads much but the reusables I've got aren't really stopping the leaks. Shock

1004Rise · 20/05/2017 22:28

@teainbed exactly I'm feeding on one boob with a muslin stuffed in front of the other one to stop me soaking the clothes I've just put on baby rise Blush What reusables are you using? Having to wear pads all the time feels like my nipples don't breathe which I don't think is helping Confused

Brightsmoke · 20/05/2017 23:32

Just checking back in after a few hellish days. I'm still here @FoxMulder, thanks :)

Gorgeous boy you've got @dreamofhungarianlanterns, congratulations (my phones tried to auto correct that to contractions, says it all about my recent convos 😂) well done for showing Dick where to go, and hope you get home soon!

Congratulations on your arrivals @PeachIcedT @Barnes79 and anyone else I missed

Glad you get to go home Barnes.

Fingers crossed to all getting signs, and hoping everyone fed up here moving quickly!

Think that's everyone caught up with!

As for me? Baby Rupert arrived at 40+15, after 3 days of labour, 18 hours of established labour, and a hell of a lot of assistance and pain. I will post on the birthing thread, but might hold off or put a warning on. He's bruised and battered, but here and healthy. I'm totally besotted with him, and it really is true that they make the pain go away instantly. So, here's some baby spam because my little alien gremlin is just too cute not to share ❤️

newbieho · 21/05/2017 00:31

Congratulations @Brightsmoke and hello Rupert!

lullaby23 · 21/05/2017 00:45

Congratulations bright 💙💙

teainbed · 21/05/2017 00:59

Congratulations @Brightsmoke he's a beaut! Sorry you've had a rough time, feel better soon!

@1004Rise they're from Boots, not bad just could be a bit bigger maybe but they slip out of place easily hence the leaks.

Northernexile · 21/05/2017 05:27

Congratulations bright, he's gorgeous. Hope you are getting some rest- that's an epic labour.
I'm also quite leaky at the minute and so far have been finding Tommee Tippee disposable pads to be the best.
Good luck to everyone still waiting!

EsmesBees · 21/05/2017 07:29

Congratulations bright. He is lovely. Sorry you've had a tough time of it.

Due date today and have woken up with a horrible cold. Which I have DD to blame for. One of the main differences this time is the amount of illness I've had. My back aches and my head feels all woolly. Not ideal for labour.

The leaking doesn't last for long. I remember waking up to the smell of warm milk and finding my pads soaked through. Most of the cheap disposable ones are not very sticky in my experience.

BouncingBlueberry · 21/05/2017 08:23

Congratulations @Brightsmoke and @Barnes79 and anyone else I may have missed! Thanks for the advice Autumn. We can afford for me to take five months ish off but the nursery we went to use don't take children till 6 months so we have a bit of a black hole. Ah well. Woken up this morning after a night of period pains with added energy and a want to crack on with things. Washing machine on, steamer out and breakfast being eaten.

FoxMulder · 21/05/2017 09:20

Good morning fed up club. What you doing today? Don't know what to do again here. Maybe swimming. Usually avoid it like the plague at the weekend. Maybe a walk. Bored with all the local ones though and don't fancy a big drive out.

FoxMulder · 21/05/2017 09:31

I feel like I've had a bit of a cold for months now. Just phlegm in my throat really that never goes away. Maybe my body is waiting till it's better?

savagehk · 21/05/2017 09:54

Hiding from people I know who will ask/comment re baby not having arrived yet....

beachsands · 21/05/2017 10:01

savage I has 5 texts in just over an hour last night asking how things were. It's nice people are interested but I'm just copying the same response to all! I'm definitely in the fed up club this morning. Now off to clean..

RasperryInAMelon · 21/05/2017 10:17

@beachsands I've been getting texts left right and centre and I'm not due until Weds!!

uptown8617 · 21/05/2017 10:18

I've just got my daily message from our best friend. I love that he's so excited for us but every day! Shock

Taking the dog for a good walk today to keep me occupied. I'm thinking if we go far away/somewhere awkward it's bound to get things moving right?

teainbed · 21/05/2017 10:38

BrewCakeFlowers for the fed up club.
