Fingers crossed this works, no idea how to make a thread but giving it my best shot. Let the May babies continue!

@crazyzooo I don't really know! Just small amounts usually but it's been a bit more today. I did ask the mw about it earlier but she didn't sound too worried as long as it wasn't a whole feed. Baby W is sometimes sick when she's lying down which does worry me.

crazyzooo · 09/06/2017 23:51

Thank you @1004Rise and @MrsJW15. It's difficult not to worry isn't it.. I have just posted a lengthy post on the local le leche league FB page, so I'll let you know if anything useful comes of it.

@1004rise how did you introduce dummies and when do you give them?

Rabbitykins55 · 10/06/2017 01:29

@crazyzooo baby rabbit brings milk up after almost every feed. Varying amounts but I think it looks worse than it is. I was really worried initially because he only started doing it after a couple of weeks but health visitor wasn't concerned.

Sonnet18 · 10/06/2017 04:02

Baby sonnet has been diagnosed with silent reflux so I'm another one in the sicky baby. He's on infant gaviscon plus infacol for the trapped wind. He's quite a wriggly unsettled little thing; total opposite to dd. Hopefully the medicine helps him feel better.

Re the dummy- I gave baby sonnet a dummy at about three days. However he seems to have formed quite an attachment to it (dd was the same and had it confiscated at 16 weeks as it was becoming unbearable!) so he's keeping it just now but will see how things go!

teainbed · 10/06/2017 06:20

@crazyzooo as long as it's not projectile it's ok. BabyTea can posset quite a bit. I've read it described as 'a laundry problem not a baby problem' not that that is very helpful! It's different if they're very distressed with the reflux of failing to thrive.

Tickyboovicki · 10/06/2017 06:33

@teainbed @crazyzooo @MrsJW15 I got the app too as Freddie was fussy and someone mentioned he might be having a leap! Timed well with the first one, and it's an interesting read!

After a rough day yesterday Freddie slept from 11 until 6am with only 1 feed in the night - bloomin miracle!

Morning!
Another one here with a baby doing longer shifts (and freaking me out slightly in the process).
Yesterday he slept for 4.5 hours, then again last night. Amazing for us, as I got 5 hours sleep in a row last night (9-2, oh did a feed)!!

Just as well as I'm sodding working already, albeit from home in milk stained clothing (going to strap him on and get going shortly)

How often are you ladies bathing your babies?

Tickyboovicki · 10/06/2017 07:28

mighty your working already, that's crazy?! Very impressed! I had a job interview last week, but not to start now 😂

We give him a bath every 2 days roughly at the moment. Will probably move to more daily once we start getting a bedtime routine going!

No bath here yet! (2w1d).

Regards throwing up milk, as long as wet/dirty nappies, not upset by it, putting on weight, it's fine. Some babies just do it! And it can look like a lot of milk.

teainbed · 10/06/2017 08:27

Yes took my own advice last night Grin and left DH with a bottle and went to bed at 8. He managed until 12.40 and then I fed him again at 5.30. Feeling loads better. BabyTea was 8 weeks yesterday and it far more active and interested in things now, the wonder weeks stuff makes a lot of sense.

CoxsOrangePippin · 10/06/2017 08:32

LittlePippin doesn't posset much but takes in loads of air and finds being so windy distressing. Trying to focus on helping him swallow less air with his milk - he clicks and quacks when he feeds!

teainbed · 10/06/2017 08:35

New thread time yet? Name suggestions?

1004Rise · 10/06/2017 09:39

@crazyzooo I only got the dummies yesterday so haven't really worked it out yet. My plan is to use them when she's been upset and she's trying to suck to make herself feel better, like when she's been windy and then is over tired. Don't want to use them too much in case she sucks in more air 😳

@mightymouse76 I'm impressed at the industriousness of working already!

Re bathing... no bath yet (4 weeks today) my stomach isn't in a fit state to bend over and deal with a slippery baby 🤔 yet so we've been topping and tailing in the morning and she's been in the shower with each of us a few times which is actually easier than it sounds because we're both wet she's easier to hold onto!

Yes new thread time, this must be the longest time our 1000 posts have lasted!! I have no inspiration for a title though 😯

MrsJW15 · 10/06/2017 09:59

@mightymouse76 very impressed that you are working! Baby W is also sleeping for longer shifts. She fusses at night - last night she wouldn't go to sleep until after midnight - but then slept until about 6! After a feed she slept for another couple of hours. She's now too sleepy to eat this morning which worries me a bit but I'm sure she'll be up soon. Nappy change might help!

Her cord stump came off last night so first bath tonight!

Reassuring on the posset @savagehk, thanks.

New thread - something about nappies and night shifts?

CoxsOrangePippin · 10/06/2017 19:25

Should we move to postnatal clubs now?

jennymac31 · 11/06/2017 01:36

Have we now moved to post natal Clubs?

mightymouse76 · 11/06/2017 08:17

Or has it just gone quiet?!

crazyzooo · 11/06/2017 08:46

Thanks @rabbitikins55, sonnet18 and tea in bed. Sorry your babies are of the are erruptive variety too but nice to know crazy baby is normal. When mumxiety it not failed by severe sleep deprivation It's easier to be logical - thanks @savagehk.

@cox crazy jr sounds like a Billy goat...

Of we don't have a new thread how about;
Sleep deprivation, mumnesia and first smiles?

mightymouse76 · 11/06/2017 08:47

Happy to attempt a new thread when this baby finally lets go of my boob
