@RasperryInAMelon yes I'm AP too. He is head down in apparently a good position but just repeatedly having days where I'm not feeling much. So stressful. It's hard to know if it is the AP or something more serious Sad

RasperryInAMelon · 22/05/2017 17:30

@ClaireSunflower such a tough call isn't it - this one had a good kick about at lunchtime today but I've not really heard a peep out of her since then. It's a hard decision to make x

Sonnet18 · 22/05/2017 17:44

Baby sonnet arrived yesterday morning weighing 8lbs 1oz! Fairly straightforward labour- 12 hours done and dusted! Yay to second time labour!
Good luck to everyone still waiting and congrats to other new mums. Let the sleepless nights commence!

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 22/05/2017 18:09

Congratulations lullaby and sonnet he he this means more squishy pictures any time now Smile

Raspberry when I text him to look in the chest in the bedroom I got one back saying WTF have you done! He's really enjoying it though, I'm sure you'll be getting a lot of pleasure for your efforts very soon. I got ( from memory, it was over 4 weeks ago now!!
A card from Harrison, a card from me for after the time everyone says you have a meltdown, wine, cider, cheese and biscuits, baby foot kit, baby massage book, baby massage oil, a massive tray of m&s Easter eggs that were in the sale, daddy is my hero story book, proud to have a daddy with a beard baby vest, a book about dads I think by Michael Rosen, home made new dad kit and... last thing will be a punnet of raspberry's as you get the credit for an awesome idea Wink

Midwife weighed Harrison and he's lost less than 2% of his birth weight so that's great news and one in the eye for dr dick. She encouraged me to formally complain about him.

EsmesBees · 22/05/2017 18:17

Congratulations Sonnet. Glad everything was straight forward for you. How is your eldest adapting?

Claire yes it's very stressful. Mine is so much less active than my first (both AP) so I can go ages between kicks. She does wake up when I eat though.

Growth scan was fine (just as the midwife and I predicted). Although DD chose the exact moment we went in to wake up. I'm also a bit less fed up today. I think the lovely weather is helping.

EsmesBees · 22/05/2017 18:19

And well done on the baby weigh ins Ticky and Dream. You've done so well after a tricky start Dream.

MrsJW15 · 22/05/2017 18:24

Congratulations @Sonnet18 and good luck @ClaireSunflower.

@RasperryInAMelon I seem to have been losing my plug - and loads of it - for over a week now. Not really sure how that's possible tbh.

I'm annoyed by the midwife telling me on Thursday that she was sure I'd go naturally as I'm now sure we will get to induction on Wednesday. Just hoping that whatever's been going on means that I'm ready and induction isn't too bad.

teainbed · 22/05/2017 18:37

Congratulations @Sonnet18 ! Glad it was straightforward.

@ClaireSunflower it's so difficult isn't it? If only we had a crystal ball.

RasperryInAMelon · 22/05/2017 19:32

Congratulations @Sonnet18 💕

@dreamofhungarianlanterns 😘 you don't have to do that! I'm pleased he likes it though! DH knows there's a bag of stuff here, baby brain let me leave it out by accident the other day. The only thing I haven't done yet, is write the letter, but I think I want to wait until LO arrives to write it.

@MrsJW15 I have my sweep booked for tomorrow (39+6) - my MW told me at my 38w appointment she didn't think I'd be in for it either and that I'd have delivered by now. I'm just pleased that I still have two weeks to play with further sweeps and early induction options

Badgerbird · 22/05/2017 20:02

Congratulations lullaby!! Smile

Hey mrspage I had 39 week mw appointment today at 39+3 and no sweep or mention of it at my next appointment at 40+5. I've also had a little pile for ages now and use wet wipes after loo and anusol cream. It doesn't hurt and prob won't go till after baby. Mine was due to pressure rather than diet as I easily go 3 times a day.

Yay fox, that's really good news. Hope you can enjoy your last few days now Smile

vanilla don't join FUC just yet... hold tight!! Are we similar due date? I'm due Fri...

Badgerbird · 22/05/2017 20:15

claire it's sooooo hard isn't it! I have AP and baby has some crazy days/ moments and some quiet days which really worry me. Is it that you just can't feel the kicks as much a bit like myself (and raspberry ) but not actually reduced movements?

I've been in 4 times for RFM and today measured small/ static growth at mw appointment so spent afternoon at hospital waiting then hooked up to ctg again and got growth scan tomoz.

Thinking of you and hope whatever you decide will help put your mind at rest Flowers

Great news sonnet!! Smile

mrspage1985 · 22/05/2017 20:20

Thanks badger midwife booked my next apt for 40 exactly and said she will do a sweep - didn't have one today.
Luckily the piles seemed to have sorted themselves out through the day and have managed to 'go' thanks to a heck of a lot of water and bran flakes breakfast. Have bought some of that anusol for any future flare ups. My main worry was I had no idea how I was going to be able to go!!
Hopefully they stay at bay for us x

crazyzooo · 22/05/2017 20:28

Congratulations on all the new squishy babies Flowers
I appreciate it's a bit late in the day but could someone let me know how to join the FB group please? It's easier one handed when you have a baby permanently attached to your boob Grin

savagehk · 22/05/2017 20:32

crazy PM me with your FB-linked email address and I can add you

savagehk · 22/05/2017 20:33

(although have you tried the 'talk' app for MN?)

vanilla8 · 22/05/2017 21:39

@Badgerbird due weds so just a couple of days in front, altho midwife at 38 weeks has offered me sweep for my next appt - which is on weds, alternatively I'm at hospital at 41 weeks with consultant
@mrspage1985 I too have piles and as badger says I find washlets means not as sore, altho will be glad when belly gone down as it's such a twist and stretch to wipe down there now Confused

@ClaireSunflower I too have AP and reduced movement which can be worrying. Baby seems to give me some hiccups and the odd twist but long periods of quiet. Everything I've read suggests it's rather normal at this stage with lack of room but would go with your instinct and getting checked is the best thing.

Congrats @Sonnet18 Flowers

1004Rise · 22/05/2017 22:09

Congratulations @lullaby23 and @Sonnet18! Looking forward to squishy photos 😁😁

mrspage1985 · 22/05/2017 22:24

My sympathies to anyone who is suffering with piles - really not fun.

I'm a bit confused here - can't tell is waters broken or if I spilled my bottle of water earlier on the bed and have only just noticed it!!!!
Been lay on bed for an hour, and just got up for a wee and noticed all under me is wet Shock earlier today I did spill some water on my bed but unsure on how much and now (as stupid as this sounds) I don't know if it's my drink spillage or waters breaking. Have put a pad in but there is a lot of water in the bed which makes me question if waters can go all at once? Ie could it bet waters broken but there all out now and non would be caught in pad?!

I appreciate how totally stupid this sounds, but am having a slight flap HmmHmm

savagehk · 22/05/2017 22:34

They can go all at once but suspect you'd have noticed if they did. Mine leaked for ages (and noticably so!)

mrspage1985 · 22/05/2017 22:40

Ok thanks, it was about an hour in total I was lay there Hmmx

MrsJW15 · 22/05/2017 22:42

When I wasn't sure MrsPage the hospital said to put a pad in and wait an hour and see if anything happened. (It didn't!). So give it an hour and maybe see if there's more?

mrspage1985 · 22/05/2017 22:52

Fab thank u - will do that 👍🏻

WishIWasSleeping · 22/05/2017 22:56

@mrspage1985 - as you've put the pad on I'd probably try not to lie down for the whole of the next hour, so you can see any leaking, maybe sit up in bed, after you've changed your sheets and dried out your bed!
This may sound weird - but try smelling the patch on your bed... waters have a slight scent to them. 'Eau de Sex' shall we say! Grin
Movement will also help of you are leaking, as more waters will come when baby shifts position.
If after an hour there's no sign of anything fresh, try to sleep and buy another water bottle tomorrow! xx

Oh - one thing I found useful once my DH had gone back to work last time was a flask for my hot and cold drinks. Firstly, because it keeps your hot drink warmer for longer, as mum club is full of lukewarm drinks! Also, I was able to keep the lid shut until I was ready, rather than slopping my drink everywhere (including over baby!) trying to pick it up! Smile

mrspage1985 · 22/05/2017 23:00

@WishIWasSleeping thank u, I got up for about 40mins after I realised, put a pad in and nothing else appeared. So will try the lying down option now! Thank for for spare bed otherwise it would be a soggy night. No real smell to them which would suggest it is water bottle.
I'm thinking water bottle more as time goes on, but also can't believe I didn't notice when I lay down!! Will see what the night brings...thank u all for advice, feel calmer now!! Xx

ClaireSunflower · 22/05/2017 23:46

So I went in for monitoring and they said all looked ok on the ctg but as it's the third episode of reduced movement in a few weeks it would be best to induce to be on the cautious side. I'm not thrilled about it as I wanted to go to the MLU and wait until the baby is ready but I don't want to ignore the repeated reduced movement so I'm staying in for induction. Really scared and hope I'm doing the right thing...

I was examined earlier and was already 2cm dilated (before induction) so hopefully this will just speed along what had already started.

Just on another monitor waiting for the pessary. Not really sure what to expect and quite anxious about it
