Fingers crossed this works, no idea how to make a thread but giving it my best shot. Let the May babies continue!

@Tickyboovicki I'm thinking about doing it once or twice a week. It's not compulsory don't feel you have to do it! DH would like the flexibility of a bottle occasionally and like I said I need a haircut and want to go to DS's school play without BabyTea.

If all goes well I will breastfeed for as long as BabyTea wants to but introduce a cup from 6 months for water. At that point with a baby that is eating solids it tended to be down to 3 or 4 breastfeeds a day and a million at night and then I expressed when I went back to work to maintain my supply.

WishIWasSleeping · 22/05/2017 09:39

Well I thought they'd be less to catch up on with the FUC reducing and all you new mummies being busy with your new little ones. I was wrong!
My gremlin has been a whinge all weekend! Ganging up on DH and I with his big sister to wear us out! And jeez with the head flinging..! I forgot they threw themselves with quite so much force!
For those of you falling asleep with baby on you, just ensure you have a couple of pillows under your arms for support and don't beat yourself up about it. If it wasn't for this position I wouldn't have slept for weeks with DD last year!
Huge Congratulations to all the new mummy's, and I'm scared to say anything to the FUC members as I am guessing hormones and emotions are running high! the end is in sight!
@nursebickypegs - are you in the new mummy club yet? x
I'm off to see if babyWish will let me read some birth stories! Smile

BrewCakeFlowers for the FUC. Grin

mrspage1985 · 22/05/2017 10:03

I feel like a fraudulent member of the FUC seeing as my due date hasn't come yet (30th) but am seriously fed up now and totally ready for baby to appear.

Tried to go to the toilet in the middle of the night and think I have ended up with piles BlushBlush seemed to subside by the time I woke up this morning but am scared about when I need to go to the toilet Hmm
Have already upped my water intake, had bran flakes for breakfast and taken dog out for a walk - all tips that seem to be recommended, midwife at lunchtime also will ask her if there is anything else recommended.

Also does anyone know if they do a sweep at 39 week check up or is it only post 40 weeks? X

Autumnsweater · 22/05/2017 11:09

@mrspage1985 most trusts only sweep at 40 weeks plus (if it makes you feel better my attempted sweep was failed/pointless as cervix was closed.. so no need to go through that at 39 weeks as well!)

MrsJW15 · 22/05/2017 11:10

Good luck to @BouncingBlueberry @MissMooMoo and @lullaby23! I am very jealous - nothing to report here.

Continuing to lose plug (how can it still be going?!) so hoping for a dramatic waters breaking or something... otherwise induction Wednesday.

RasperryInAMelon · 22/05/2017 12:09

@BouncingBlueberry sounds like things are on the move! Exciting 😁

Sounds like there's lots of little movements for those of us in the FUC, just not quite enough... 😕 we'll get there though!

Sweep booked for tomorrow - without TMI, I lost my plug last Tuesday and since then have had a watery creamy discharge to the point I'm wearing pads - is that normal?

@dreamofhungarianlanterns I have done a bag of gifts - ready and waiting to go!

  1. Mini wine
  2. Voucher for a session at the driving range
  3. Chocolate
  4. Voucher for Breakfast in bed
  5. Footprint cement mould
  6. Baby massage oil
  7. bubble bath and a bath toy
  8. PlayStation time voucher
  9. Lie in voucher
10. Key ring 11. Bedtime story 12. Date Night voucher 13. Heartfelt letter 14. Starwars DVD

What did you put in yours?

uptown8617 · 22/05/2017 12:26

Really fed up today now 😔. Had a second sweep this morning but no change since last week, still closed so unlikely to meet this baby anytime soon. Booked in for a third sweep on Saturday if nothing happens between now and then.

Hope everyone with movement is progressing nicely today!

BouncingBlueberry · 22/05/2017 12:33

@RasperryInAMelon that's how I started, with a creamy discharge then this mornings escapades. I feel like I'm 13 wearing the massive sanitary towels.

RasperryInAMelon · 22/05/2017 12:50

@BouncingBlueberry how long across the whole period of it all for you?

lullaby23 · 22/05/2017 12:55

Baby girl lullaby has arrived, 8lb 5oz, currently having a very snuffly feed Smile

BouncingBlueberry · 22/05/2017 13:04

@RasperryInAMelon a day and a half of the discharge. Last night I felt weird, like spaced out then woke up at 3:45 this morning. Thank goodness my body was sensible enough to wake me up so my waters didn't go in bed.
@lullaby23 Congratulations! I can't believe how quick it's been for you and feeding already. I know it was a section but wow. Hope you are enjoying lots of snuggles.

FoxMulder · 22/05/2017 13:07

Congratulations lullaby!! How are you feeling?

Good luck @BouncingBlueberry @MissMooMoo!

I'm not feeling fed up anymore. Feel pretty relaxed that baby will come when it's ready. Weekdays are easier because I have my routine with DS. Aquanatal was good this morning too. I am, however, supposed to have made a mw appointment and I don't want to. It fucks with my Zen Grin

vanilla8 · 22/05/2017 13:34

Congrats @lullaby23

Creeping towards FUC.

I think I'm slowly losing my plug, discharge if very much like ewcm, have been wearing panty liners and pads for last week with it.

Lovely day of sunshine here

Tickyboovicki · 22/05/2017 13:35

Congratulations lullaby 😊

Health visitor has just left, she was here about 2 hours and was lovely! I should have had an antenatal visit but the move etc meant it didn't happen, and today's visit was delayed.
Freddie is putting on weight well which has put my mind at ease a bit about him being sick! Also she has great advice about baby groups locally and good places to go when walking which was so nice to hear! Very daunting being in a new area and not knowing anyone but excited to go exploring over the next few weeks!

raspberry I've been like you for 2 weeks now. Unfortunately some losing plug is not an imminent sign of labour. lullaby huge congrats.

savagehk · 22/05/2017 15:34

foxmulder haha! Glad you're feeling more Zen though!
Just been to the allotment jungle now very warm!

teainbed · 22/05/2017 16:04

Congratulations @lullaby23 !

peasandquiet · 22/05/2017 16:06

Today I have a sudden burst of enthusiasm and energy and have been nesting like anything this afternoon. I really really really hope this baby come soon (my lounge is so ready for a visitor or 10 😂)
Congrats to all the arrivals, lots on the FB group all lovely and squishy 😍
Those in the throws of labour hope your all doing ok.
Hope my fellow FUC members have found a little joy today x

savagehk · 22/05/2017 16:16

On the bright side, waiting so long has meant I've had time to slim down the potential name list. Now just 3 names for each sex that OH and I both like :) And as we want a first name + middle name combo, I think only two options work well for each once you put them together. So might have that sorted this evening!

Also made up my mind on Vit K yesterday (eventually). We'll have the injection.

peasandquiet · 22/05/2017 16:20

Love that savage! We are all sorted on a boy but not for a girl, my OH loves a particular girls name so I may concede if it's a girl and then ask to use my mum's name as a middle - job done!

ClaireSunflower · 22/05/2017 16:49

Congratulations to all the new babies, they are arriving so quickly now!

I'm going back to hospital tonight after yet another episode of reduced movement (3rd one in 4 weeks Sad)
I had a scan last week because of this and was told everything was fine but it just keeps happening and I don't know why. So fed up now. I'll see what they say this evening. They said bring a hospital bag just in case they need to induce me. I would really prefer not to be induced but this lack of movement repeatedly is really worrying me.

peasandquiet · 22/05/2017 16:56

Oh Claire, that really sucks. This one is no where near the wriggler it's brother was and it gives me a lot of anxiety, I just have to remember normal in this pregnancy and I have an AP which doesn't help at all.
Hopefully all is ok tonight and you go into labour naturally asap X

RasperryInAMelon · 22/05/2017 17:10

@beachsands I'm slowly losing the will to live... 😩

@ClaireSunflower you're AP aren't you? How is baby lying?

newbieho · 22/05/2017 17:24

Congratulations @lullaby23 !

@ClaireSunflower I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and the little ole. Hopefully he arrives soon and reduced movement worries will fade away.
