Fingers crossed this works, no idea how to make a thread but giving it my best shot. Let the May babies continue!

Quick question to those with babies and kids already- you had any big pukes? I just had another after a lovely calm boob feed (about 20 minutes but my flow was quite fast I think).
He barely even woke up- just dropped off to sleep post feed, projectiled all over both of us as we lay cuddling 15 minutes later, and now he's sparked out again Confused. Is this normal? He's 11 days old now, and starting to gain weight back (although he hasn't hit his birthweight yet).

teainbed · 21/05/2017 22:34

Yes some @mightymouse76 - BabyTea spits up a bit some feeds. Are you managing to wind him? If he's otherwise happy don't worry. BUT if they're all projectile and any sign of less wet and dirty nappies or lethargy you need to get medical attention.

savagehk · 21/05/2017 22:40

One of the fellow NCT babies from first time around vomited after every feed. He wasn't in any discomfort and put on weight fine, wet/dirty nappies etc. Some babies just do that it seems.

RasperryInAMelon · 21/05/2017 23:06

A friend of mines new DD is suffering badly with reflux, but she says infacol is making it a lot better.

BouncingBlueberry · 22/05/2017 04:07

So you know how they say waters don't go with a gush very often? They do here! Flipping heck.

lullaby23 · 22/05/2017 04:32

Sounds exciting blueberry! Any contractions? I feel like there has been a higher than expected percentage of dramatic waters going on this thread!

BouncingBlueberry · 22/05/2017 04:41

Yep we have contractions. Rang triage and can make my way in. I'm currently having a decent cup of tea before we go in though. This isn't how I imagined it at all.

MissMooMoo · 22/05/2017 04:45

Very exciting blueberry!!!
I have been having contractions regularly for about 10 hours now,not long enough or close enough together to go in yet,it seems very slow moving.
Have had some blood come out last night when I was in the bath so I think everything is headed in the right direction.
40+5 today!

BouncingBlueberry · 22/05/2017 04:47

Odd question. Sorry for TMI but how much amniotic fluid came out for you guys who have had your babies. I've never known anything like it

Badgerbird · 22/05/2017 05:21

Oh bugger lost my entire post!! Sorry to those I've missed on this one.

Eeeek how exciting blueberry!!! My sister gushed loads and loads. She was massive and had a tiny baby so seemed to be mostly water! Good luck and I look forward to a squishy baby photo soon.

miss I hope your contractions ramp up :)

Such wonderful news rustler Smile Welcome baby Geoffrey!

Glad to hear you've finally moved ticky, no wonder you're feeling emotional you have so much going on. I hope that you feel more settled soon Flowers

Hope you got a good nights sleep esme!

Here's hoping for a week of babies for all those in the Fed Up Club (FUC GrinShock) and week of good breast feeding and sleep for all those with babies!! CakeBrewWine

Rustler74 · 22/05/2017 05:24

Exciting @MissMooMoo!
@BouncingBlueberry I did have a fair bit say 750ml at one point but that was during a contraction.

Thanks for all the love! I'm so totally in love ! My first night on post natal ward was quite interrupted but I did get some sleep. My Boy is one of the quietest babies in the bay (2 others have been rather weepy) but this morning he did kind of have a little cry. Skin to skin worked so well, and he was off again in no time! Picking him out of his crib is tricky here so I'm ringing the bell every time. Leaky boob coming in too and we managed to get some food in him with some dirty and wet nappies already!

I was worried that with all the cute babies that were already born, that there would not be enough cuteness left for mine but how wrong was I!? And statistically (or whatever 😂) that would free up a large amount of handsomeness and beauty for all the other babies yet to come! Spread the love ❤️
Good luck to the fed up club! Its worth waiting until nature goes its way as induction totally sucks. I'm not ready yet to share my birth story, simply as I don't want to give anyone the impression it wasn't a good experience, and also because I just want to ruse in the wealth of knowing how it's all worth it because my son is safe in my arms and the loving looks he gives back to me make me melt away like chocolate in the sun (whoever does that!!!)
Oh and it's such a natural thing to talk to him in my mother tongue! I never thought it would be because English comes quite so natural to me!

uptown8617 · 22/05/2017 06:01

Very exciting MissMoo and Blueberry! Good luck for the day ahead Smile

40+5 here today too, was hoping something might happen in the night but nothing! I have a midwife appt today so might get offered another sweep.

MissMooMoo · 22/05/2017 06:03

blueberry haven't had my waters go yet but my mother warned me that they GUSH and its way more than you are ever expecting.

I've been out and watered the garden and plants as it is meant to be sunny and 25 here today!!! Having a bagel and bouncing on my ball.

MissMooMoo · 22/05/2017 06:05

uptown due date buddies.
I had an appt on Sat and a sweep,my next appt isn't until Saturday again now and I will be 41+3, I was hoping to have one on Wednesday or Thursday for another sweep as I read its good to have them a few days apart. Oh well!
I think DH mis understood the MW because he thinks they will induce me on Saturday if baby hasn't arrived, I understood they will book an induction for the sunday or monday.

EsmesBees · 22/05/2017 06:32

What a lovely post Rustler! You sound very happy. Great that your milk has come in already.

Very exciting MissMoo and blueberry. Sounds like you are both well on your way.

Still in the FUC here. My back is aching terribly and have been awake for a couple of hours fretting about the logistics of getting to the hospital and getting DD sorted. Ridiculous, as have basically planned for every scenario, but it's such an uncertain time.

lullaby23 · 22/05/2017 07:10

Good luck missmoo and blueberry hope you have an eventful day (in a nice way!)

rustler how sweet sounds like you're very much in love with your boy 😍

esme I sympathise with the over thinking stuff, I have been waking up before 6 every day this week running things over in my mind.

I'm in a taxi to the hospital for my section so should hopefully have squidgy baby news in a few hours 😮🤞🏻

beachsands · 22/05/2017 07:13

esme the different scenarios go through my head several times a day. It's not so straight forward when there's other DC at home. I had a on awful day yesterday. Very much emotional and cried on and off all day. Was like a witch and was so cranky with the DC which made me cry more. Here's to another week. The FUC must lose members this week!

beachsands · 22/05/2017 07:15

Also good luck missmoo and bouncing Hope that tea was good Brew

Autumnsweater · 22/05/2017 07:23

Good luck @MissMooMoo @bouncingblueberry @lullaby23
Exciting you will meet your babies soon.

Still in FUC here too. Have experienced fanny daggers for the first time today though 😂😂 was almost worth it for finally to put a sensation to the brilliant name! Feel for those who've had them regularly though! I've given up hope that this is in any way significant Grin.

I'm in awe of all those moving/just moved people, and those with older children!!

1004Rise · 22/05/2017 07:49

Good luck @BouncingBlueberry @lullaby23 @MissMooMoo here's hoping we get some baby spam from you soon!

Just waved DH off to work 😱 still have my DPs to help but feels like a scary step! Actually starting to feel a bit more human again, not quite so battered. Realised I've been jumping up and down changing baby rise which I couldn't do earlier this week.

Had a better night last night, don't think I got much more sleep but because I wasn't expecting any I was more relaxed so it felt less stressful. Trying the being up early and planning an afternoon nap strategy today rather than sleeping til lunch time 😜

@mightymouse76 baby rise has been being sick more at night, had a realisation last night that it might have been wind related, more finger sucking going on as we were catching her later when she wanted fed and because I was worried about waking her up after she fell asleep feeding. Last night I winded her every time she stopped feeding, drastically reduced the sick! 😊

Brightsmoke · 22/05/2017 08:04

Fingers crossed for @BouncingBlueberry and @MissMooMoo

I totally get what you mean @Rustler74. Everyone's babies are so totally adorably, but it really is nothing like looking down at the cuteness of your own 😍

Best of luck @lullaby23, hope it all goes to plan for you

Keeping everything crossed that the members in the FUC are meeting their little bundles soon, the waiting is totally worth it though ❤️

teainbed · 22/05/2017 08:26

Good luck @BouncingBlueberry @MissMooMoo and @lullaby23 ! Great day to have a baby!

RedBlu · 22/05/2017 08:57

Due date today and no sign of this baby making her entrance at the moment!

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 22/05/2017 09:07

Bright amazing to hear from you (totally struggling to read thread now) been thinking of you. So wow, we had very different labours in the end. You're quite the hero sounds like a grueller! Ahh babies Rupert and Harrison could have some adventures together I bet, he's a belter!

Barnes blimey, I hope you are getting over the shock, I was talking to a lady that had had an hours active labour a couple of days ago she was a bit traumatised. Flowers

Congratulations rustler what a beautiful, honest post you wrote.

Lullaby good luck! blueberry the same and evidently you did come and expertly babysit the ducklings as I had a total what the actual f moment when I got home, see picture. I forgot who else is on their way to mummyhood sorry best wishes.

FUC bless you all. Rasperry did you get round to doing your DP paternity leave daily gifts? Mine loves them and I think it really helped with me being in hospital a few days. Getting the gifts together was a good distraction.

We had our annual family walk yesterday, luckily very local to us this year. We managed to drop in on the eating part for a bit. Think it was all a bit much for Harrison, he's such a content little thing but he's inherited daddy's family wobble chin that starts at times of high emotion. His big eyes were wet and his chin going and I felt like I'd asked too much of him and let him down. I can see my boy is going to break my heart daily if he has a lovely sensitive side like his dad, which I hope he does. Only 18 more years before you can cover the wobble with a beard son!

So I'm back from the hospital. Had some monitoring but as I'm coping with contractions with no pain relief they let me come home. Got to monitor contractions and colour of waters but looks like I may escape induction.
Good luck @MissMooMoo put a pad on just incase! @lullaby23 good luck today. Hope everyone else in the waiting club get some positive signs today
