Yet another new thread, because just like all the remaining posters the old one is about to go pop.

Morning all,

Sounds very exciting here - is the last of our babies currently entering the world? Hope it's all going well for Mossie.

I've added a couple of photos of baby Oliver to my profile page. The lavender bath was very soothing last night - but I'd forgotten how sore everything feels at this stage!! The afterbirth pains when I feed Oli are more like labour pains this time, so I'm still wearing my tens machine.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their new babies. I'll try to post about my experience later. x

kittyhas6 · 11/04/2007 11:18

Lulu, thankyou I haven't done one yet. I've been having a crappy time since his birth. He's been screaming non stop, smelly farts etc. My nips are cracked and bleeding, my pelvis is shot to pieces, piles like grapes and no sleep for 3 days.
I feel disorientated.
Once I get my head together a bit I'll post one

muppethasakitten · 11/04/2007 12:09

runningal - Gorgeous photos... and how lovely to have a baby with hair! Mine always look bald! I wonder if he will keep it or if it will be replaced with fairer hair like your ds1?

Kitty for you - you sound like you're having a rubbishy few days and nights... thing is I always shy away from offering insights/advice to you becos let's face it - you're the most experienced of us all! You don't think it's worth a visit to the old cranial osteopath???

I took Sam yesterday - she immediately picked up on a couple of problems and explained how they would manifest themselves as specific symptoms... and guess what? she was right - he has them all! It was like she'd been spying on us and was describing exactly the sorts of problems Sam has! She seemed to think that within 3 sessions we'd notice a big improvement.

Can think of no other tips for you that you won't already know

If you read throught the post natal thread i think you'll soon realise we're all having rubbishy times! We've just got to hang on in there! People definately post less often! Can't think why

lulumama · 11/04/2007 12:14

was it a quick birth kitty? maybe he is still surprised? cranial osteopathy if it continues ? in the meantime, put him in a sling !

has your doula any advice?

kittyhas6 · 11/04/2007 13:16

lulu I guess so. 1 1/2 hours I think.

I think his gut really bothered him. Infracol has really helped.

Piffle · 11/04/2007 16:30

no 1 top tip here...
baby carrier and do the hoovering, put away washing etc
2 birds with one stone
Shuts grumpy Finn up every time

lulumama · 11/04/2007 16:38

Piffle - that sling tip is a good one

Tili · 11/04/2007 16:51

Hi just popping in from the april thread to see how Mossie is doing .hope there is some good news soon xx

divastrop · 11/04/2007 17:23

muppet-i cant speak for kitty but i certainly dont mind being given advice by less 'experienced' mothers.like i said on the post-natal thread you can think you know what you're doing then along comes this baby who doesnt conform

i will have a look at your sleep thread..erm later,i just realised the time.dp is ill in bed(genuinley ill,he doesnt do the man-flu thing),the kids had kfc for teaand im sitting at the pc with a baby on my lap when i should be hoovering

kittyhas6 · 11/04/2007 18:04

Muppet I agree with Diva. Experience does help but each baby is different and there are always new things to learn

Rosylily · 11/04/2007 19:17

phew, been reading for ages. just back from navan and neglecting the children to see how everyone is doing.

Congratulations to Lunar, runningal and Kitty
and hope Mossy is doing ok....

DollyPopsOut · 11/04/2007 19:33

Hi girls

NOt heard anything from Mossy but will let you know whe I do. Hope she is doing OK.

Kitty - so sorry you are feeling pants. Hope you feel better soon and Ronnie settles down for you. Piffle's tip is a good one. I also find a push in the pram helps calm mine down (esp if someone else does the pushing to give you half an hour off!)

Take care honey XXXXX
